I agree with all you said expect the emphasis on “being put together with sleek straight hair/weave” this is based on European Beauty standard. One can look chic/ expensive with kinky/coily/ curly hair/braids etc.... weave. As a black women i chose to wear weave that mimic my hair.
Rather than buying a lot of individual fast fashion items- I would also recommend investing in handful of quality, lasting pieces. Also, I've see a lot of sisters slay with natural hair.
I have been dressing in all these earth tone colors, then I started looking predictable and boring. Now that I'm in my early 50s, I'm getting bolder and trying to pop some colors. I throw in yellow or red jackets, red shoes, bright greens and oh, some sexy classic scarves. Yes, you are right on point but when you worked so hard all your life, you deserves some real and original stuff. You should feel free to own a few expensive pieces, if you can afford it. Keep it up girl. I'm with you!!
A basic button down white shirt. A basic blue denim (no rips). Black blazers. Basic black pumps. Don’t show too much skin (either the top or the legs, never both). CONFIDENCE. Avoid super mini skirts and dresses. Wear a subtle perfume. These are some tips to make you look “put together” and like you made an effort to look good. Thanks for the video Omabelle. 👍🏻
It's mind blowing how everyone left all the good points just to keep picking on the straight hair tip. I'm a black woman with Kinky natural hair and wouldn't change it for anything in the World. All I meant was when it comes to weaves/wig which is often what I wear, I prefer sleek straight hair. That doesn't mean I don't like other hair textures. Let's be open minded and positive guys. That's just 1 persons opinion, doesn't mean it's everyone's🙏
Just because you give an opinion that oppsoite of anothers persons opinion doesn't mean that they are not being positive. I know you dont' expect everyone to agree with you just because. I just wish we as black women would appreciated our hair just as much as we appreciate Malaysian, Brazilian, Peruvian, and Indian hair. We are the ONLY group of women that gravitate toward wearing hair texture that's not our own. I swear I'm not trying to make this an issue I know that wasn't your intention, it was just an observation. I love your videos and I know you love the skin you're in.
Hair it’s apart of style. It can be styled apart of your mood and vibe of the day. As people of color having natural hair it can be or cause damage with a lot of manipulation. I don’t get why ppl get mad with others for having protective styles and wear a wig on top. Lol smh that doesn’t make you less black. The natural community is something serious. I just dislike when ppl go hard on TH-camr for showing us their life an they get bad feed back. Hair is apart of style ijs.
OmabelleTV Nne dont mind them jare. Let's be truthful. I 100% agree with you that straight sleek hair/ponytail immediately makes you look like a million bucks even if all you're wearing is jeans, tshirt and slippers
Agreed, why does Eurocentric beauty means being put together and looking expensive? It's not okay when we perpetuate this myth. When glamour magazine said this a few years ago we dragged them up and down then we turn around and say the say things. Smh it is a black and white issue for those of us raising black daughters that Becky with the good hair is the only acceptable look to be worthy. Biko give me a full volume fro with my heavily embroidered guinea brocade bubu, layered beads, beautiful leather sandals with glowing melanin skin and I'm looking like expensive. However I understand your spill Oma.
As for me I like to look expensive everyday but I don't like fake nails, fake eyes lashes, heavy makeup, And colorful long wig, Those are not in my dictionnary
After all is put together, make sure you march all listed with good attitude and character. 100% visible. More grace Omabelle. Your ministry won't fail. 💓
Thanks for this tips, Oma, have come to realize that you don't have to break the bank to look good. You can still be under budget and still look rich. ❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Soooooo...... again why can’t Natural hair make you look expensive or well but together. So tired of this superficial Eurocentric look we as black women have to portray. Did you not see the gorgeous Jamaican beauty Queen with her beautiful crown her fro. Love the video however I highly disagree with long straight hair. I turn heads everywhere with my natural hair always.
shakira Griffin she did not say natural hair can't. She says in her opinion she prefers that. So.please stop all this name calling. Go for natural if u wish and let those who want weaves to do too.
first of all I have a daughter thats maybe Omabella age ok. So I am way above name calling. I never once called anyone a name. read the comment again in its content and not what you made it out to be.
These are some excellent tips I'm definitely going to put good use. I do agree straight hair does give a expensive and luxury look. Thanks you so much!
Trying to add more blazers to my wardrobe and basics. You’re so right about the solid basics being classy and expensive. Haven’t been to ZARA but I can’t wait to go now!! 🧡🧡🧡
OmabelleTV I didn't see the whole video. I beg your pardon. You did give a lot of fabulous tips and ideas about how to look expensive and you are a very beautiful woman. TFS!!
Great tips! It's all about how you put it together and style it. I'd love to see how you accessorize with scarves. Scarves can really dress up an outfit.
Guys, no need to get offended.. her hair being straight probably does make her look more expensive because it looks like she went through all the effort to make it that way. My hair is naturally curly ( I’m white, though ) but still when I straighten my hair, people always tell me I look good and very different. It’s just personal preference Edit: obviously I’m aware oprah is very rich and she wears her natural hair.. like I said before personal preference.
Eliza beth white womens always think their opinion matter people should drop what their doing to hear their two cent... nobody cares what u think Becky
I like your viewpoint! I always like straight hair, but my face is framed better with curls, lol... I have been redesigning my wardrobe to neutrals season by season. Keep up your good tips. I'm a new subscriber.
And another tip is stay away from trendy designer bags and shoes and go for classic peices that won't b seen as outdated after a while like instead of a monogram printed LV bag go for a black or nude or just a neutral color. I think designer labels that r fully printed like the LV monogram is just a target for those who want to feel like they belong and profile they want d world to know they wearing designer and really it just looks tacky as hell. And if U ask them why they bought d item truly they just bought it because its designer and not because of the quality or how classy it looks.
Empress Swiss - Why should people stay away from trendy bags and shoes? They were made to be bought and worn....to each is own. What is tacky about monogram designer bags? They are just as classy as a neutral or non- monogram bag...especially when it's worn with the right outfit. I like both designer and non-designer pieces. I work very hard and know I deserve the best. I don't beg, or steal to buy anything. God made us all different! We can't all like the same things. Women are so judgemental with each other. Yes, we have the right to our opinions, but we should respect one another's choices and stop being so darn negative about what other people want to wear!!!
Sandra Angus u missed d point dear those point were ment for people on a budget who want a few designer things because they can't always afford to go and get a new one as they like but have to save b4 being able to get it. Buying a trendy one would not b good on their part because it will just go out of style while a classic peice will not. That's what I was getting at as her video said dear on a budget. Sure u can get trendy stuff when its cheap and u can change it at will because it won't cost u much but in this case the tips were for designer peices.
I like the video. My only comment would be to women of color. Our hair is naturally beautiful, so if you are natural, wear it and be beautiful. Also "our" makeup and nail nude color is not the main stream nude. Our skin has color, so a nude lip color, blush or if you choose a darker polish, they will be different. We may have to spend more time searching for colors that match our skin tones which are rich and beautiful. I support embracing and supporting brands that support our skin tones. Be beautifully you ladies!
Love your videos girl! Thanks for honestly sharing your ideas with us. I feel you haven't dichotomised your points but made an honest opinion which is why it went down well with me. I appreciate what you are doing babes. Abum ezigbo nwanne gi loving you from London.
Cheryl Nkosi it may not be that deep to you but sometimes I think we subconsciously are sending the wrong message with statements like that. Why can’t she look expensive and sophisticated with a braid out, well groomed locks, or a hairstyle showcasing her beautiful natural kinks and coils. It’s just an observation I really don’t care what anyone does with their hair. I think that’s the beauty of being a black woman we can be so creative with our hair however, we should never put aside the beauty of the hair that is naturally ours.
Hey, I don't use make up and use wig . Always cover my head. My dear, people always give me complement. Because you have good looking. Please you are special with good figure. ❤
I get what you were saying. I love my hair texture also, but in modern corporate America, its not embraced. Not for an everyday look at work. You were on point with everything. I tend to spend more money on handbags, shoes, belts and my hair. I love to look snatched all the time. Also someone said no ripped jeans, I don't agree. On my off day, just hanging. I may do a rip at the knee or ankle with a basic tee or tank and a tux sports jacket/coat with a tail. Pointy heel and bag. It all depends on the individual. Anything works for me because of my #1...my beautiful personialty. Sorry everyone doesn't have it and no matter how expensive or inexpensive it shows.

NewsStories yes ma’am!!
She gave some good tips. We don’t have to agree with all of them! “Take what you need and leave the rest!”
Rather than buying a lot of individual fast fashion items- I would also recommend investing in handful of quality, lasting pieces. Also, I've see a lot of sisters slay with natural hair.

OmabelleTV oh please dontind them. I didnt even have to read this to get what u were gettimg at. You are on point. Loved the video
Omabelle, I tire oh! This hair business na wa for dis una utube
OmabelleTV Nne dont mind them jare. Let's be truthful. I 100% agree with you that straight sleek hair/ponytail immediately makes you look like a million bucks even if all you're wearing is jeans, tshirt and slippers
That's so true about wearing all black ! It just looks so sleek and edgy !
I don't think having straight hair means you are put together..you can be put together with natural curly hair as well
Dana Jones 🙌
Sure dearie. No doubt about that but please let's not make it a black and white issue.
I just said it in terms of weaves. Like a straight wig 🙏
Agreed, why does Eurocentric beauty means being put together and looking expensive? It's not okay when we perpetuate this myth. Bukki Isaacs your reply just brought tears to my eyes...not sure why! But THANK YOU!
I prefer my Afro hair.please encourage our black ladies to be proud of their natural hair and not some fake hair.remember you have daughters...
As for me I like to look expensive everyday but I don't like fake nails, fake eyes lashes, heavy makeup, And colorful long wig, Those are not in my dictionnary

This is a great topic for a video. I like how you explained how a person doesn't have to spend a lot to look like a lot. Terrific video!

mylifeas favour so true. I am natural and she did say pony tails and buns as well.
first of all I have a daughter thats maybe Omabella age ok. So I am way above name calling. I never once called anyone a name. read the comment again in its content and not what you made it out to be.
She said with wigs and weaves, not with natural hair, she has embraced her natural hair several times on her chanenel
shakira Griffin I find of felt that way when she said that.
I’m guessing you meant with your hair in a bun you look put together, I agree with this cause you get to see your whole face it’s a whole new look .
I am an African woman with beautiful kinky hair!!! I appreciate it. You don't have to look fake to look expensive!!! Be yourself sis.
Definitely don’t agree with straight sleek hair not African standard @All#Natural Hair Rocks 2

Good hair do, fresh manicure , white teeth and nice shoes are the most important in the rich look. 😎 Then it doesn't matter what clothes you wear. 😉
OmabelleTV I didn't see the whole video. I beg your pardon. You did give a lot of fabulous tips and ideas about how to look expensive and you are a very beautiful woman. TFS!!

VERY NICE VIDEO!!! I LOVE THE POINTED STRAP SHOE. THEY REMIND ME OF SOME EXPENSIVE VALENTINOS IVE SEEN!!!
Great tips! It's all about how you put it together and style it. I'd love to see how you accessorize with scarves. Scarves can really dress up an outfit.

Omg! I agree with the neutral Nails, makeup & Hair!! So true!!!!

But you are white so you really have no valid opinion for what others are saying
catmo59 last time I checked omabelle isn’t white, but she said the same exact thing I did🤷🏼♀️
Eliza beth u should not talk or speak for black women
Eliza beth white womens always think their opinion matter people should drop what their doing to hear their two cent... nobody cares what u think Becky
Misz Bella Benzz Never said I did.. no need to be racist.. my opinion does matter
I like your viewpoint! I always like straight hair, but my face is framed better with curls, lol... I have been redesigning my wardrobe to neutrals season by season. Keep up your good tips. I'm a new subscriber.
Yaaassss sis love your style; thanks for all the fashion tips:
Best tips. I can definitely up my slay game from these tips. Thanks girl. Keep on slaying😍😍

And a monogram print lv bag is not really “trendy” monogram print is very classic..
Empress Swiss infact, buying an lv bag in anything other than monogram print would be considered trendy..
Monogram will never go out of style. Get off yout high horse o
I LOVE THE ADVICE THAT YOU GAVE US💕💕
i loved your video. I hate it when youtubers go on and on blablabla...without getting to the point. All your points make so much sense ! good job!
Wow, can't stop staring at your neutral eye makeup, my favorite.
So lovely to listen to you and some good tips, thanks. Are you Igbo, by any chance?

Wonderful video, I learned some new ways to look great. Thank you!
So when you wear your natural hair which isn’t straight and long, will you not look expensive?????
ScorpioMaMaLove4 She's talking about weaves. It's not that deep hey.
ScorpioMaMaLove4 I agree with you :) I feel that we shouldn't twist her angle that's all.
ScorpioMaMaLove4
True but kinky hair thats fried from relaxers and weaves does looks ratchet.
But natural curly afro hair looks like goddesses hair.🙌🏾
Yeah I tot so too. Lool
Queen, great job. I love the video Thanks.
Hey, I don't use make up and use wig . Always cover my head. My dear, people always give me complement. Because you have good looking. Please you are special with good figure. ❤

I tried to open the link you left about editing software but it didnt work.
I have dread locks, how do I do all the hair styles you sited? I have never worn extensions, artificial nails.
These are awesome tips, where do you buy your jewelry?
What is your price level? Your items truly look expensive. On the thumb it said those heels are $15.00? Where? Love those! Again, love your spirit😊
Lovely tips
Great tips. Thanks sis. 🌺
