Every costume should be put in the Meuse of American History in Washington DC alongside the ruby slippers so that they are all together and the world can see them. Just maybe with a no flash photography rule. It’s awful they are auctioned off to one person for the world to never see again

This costume is PRICELESS along with Judy's Ruby Slippers. If I owned both, I'd NEVER sell but I would definitely put them on display for the world to see. Only place I'd ever have them on display would be at a well known place in Kansas, would only be right to do that.

There should be a law against people owning these items. These are historical pieces that should be preserved and displayed for the world to see and enjoy
I personally think The Smithsonian Institute should buy up all of Hollywood’s Golden Era props and memorabilia. The Wizard of Oz is the greatest movie ever made. Bar none. How many kids will vote for Citizen Kane? Zero.

How do you know, were you there? Besides, it never got sold at the auction, a crew member found it after the auction was over, and they were cleaning up everything, someone thought it was an ultra-realistic halloween costume. So they took it home and it continuously got thrown in the trash, then rescued, all over again

Debbie Reynolds, who past away not long ago, owned the pair that looked arabian with the curled toe, so i wonder if they'll be up for auction soon.
