He does cuatom high end and uses some of your favorite systems (van life tech and cruise and comfort for example) he is just finishing my build on 2024 144 wb. We have a happijac bed lift that came out really cool. Would love to see you do a video:-)
I don’t pick who or what company I tour. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I love touring the person because I feel their work comes through in their personality. It’s not that I’ve been avoiding them, it’s also about right place right time. I’d almost love to tour you as the customer and you mention the builder, I feel that would be better 😊 maybe someday we can make that happen

Love that they managed to fit everything for comfort and livability into an adventure capable van. Sometimes you want to explore, and every now and then you just need a cozy day to chill with all the creature comforts. That potty is a game changer!
I have those same push to open slides. I hate them. It's not the horizontal motion that causes them to open while driving, it's vertical motion - tar strips, speed bumps, pot holes, over pass & bridge transitions - any uneven road surface will cause to them unlock and fly open. Been living with that crap for over 2 years now. Oh, they also open when not intended if you bump them with your hip while working in the isle, or trying to get around someone who is. Terrible! My experience, not my opinion.

His questions could be cut in the editing process while the responses left in. I realize Jarrod's intention is to get as much 'detail' about builds as possible, but the videos would flow so much better (imo) without so heavy a hand in steering the conversations.
Well, this is Jarrod responding lol. But I see where you’re coming from. Consider this though. If I cut myself out then I’d have to ask the person to repeat what I said so it gives the answer context. Doing the tours this way give it more of a “real” feeling and not a “fake” way like every other channel does. Not saying the other way is bad, it’s just different on how I do my tours. I also don’t have a team of videographers traveling around doing all my tours. I do every single one of them. The flow of the tour in person comes off very organic, if anything I mess it up while editing because I cut out all the pauses. But I do that because I typically record for an hour and I try and cut these videos down as much as possible. For example this video was about 90 minutes of footage and I cut it way down as you see. Now you’re going to say I can cut it down more if I cut myself out. I’ve tried and it honestly doesn’t sound right at all
Van builds are turning into ridiculous monstrosities filled with useless 'things' that never get used. There are a few builders that have actually lived and traveled in a van so they know what is important and what is just expensive 'fluff'. I realize it's just another fade and with the economy in ruins and another global lock down on the horizon this too will come to an end.
I’m not sure why so upset. Why must we judge someone on spending money on something they want. Do you judge people that live in a million dollar home? Does it effect your day to day? Some people like to have dreams and goals and this type of van to travel in might be one of them. Of course, you’re entitled to an opinion and it’s always welcomed. Seems like you have only negative comments to say in any video I do. I can, and have, shown the less expensive and less bells and whistles vans out there and I personally love those too. It’s not about the van, it’s about what or why we are doing vanlife
It’s otherwise a nice van, but a ski locker seems ridiculous if it’s that much of a necessity to build a whole exterior fixture for it to make it way less stealthy and too show-offy

And I could care less what someone wants to spend their money on that is not the point at all, spend 15K on radiant heat in a van if that's what you think you need.
