I think Heiter's words are badly translated. I think what he means is "you don't need an emotional rapport or be on the same wave length, you can just trust their words". I'd have to get my original Japanese Manga out to confirm it, though.
"葬送フリーレン(Sousou no Frieren)" is "Journey's End" wwwwwww It's hilarious that the subtitle of the first episode is the title of the anime lol. The "葬送(Sousou)" in "葬送フリーレン(Sousou no Frieren)" means seeing off the dead. Frieren, who has a longer lifespan than humans, meets people and sees them off when they die. This is the kind of anime it is, not "Journey's End."
