Thanks for the video. It is shockingly hard to find long term reviews on scooters or reviews that don't have the scooter provided to the reviewer. This was really helpful in deciding to grab the GX2
So I tested this out a bit for my next video. With it going as hard as it can without stopping much, it seems to last around a half-hour before reaching a single battery on the display, which is when I headed back. So I'd give it a solid 45-minutes going full throttle.
@@evoquesquad2015 Just realized I confused myself so I should clarify. The full throttle video will be after my upload tomorrow. Was hoping YT would process it by today so it would be up already, but 4k takes awhile. So, responded thinking "next video" as if that video was already up lol
it definitely feels zippy, especially with everything turned to the max like I did for the video. I don't normally use it in top gear but you can still feel the zip, though it slow downs on big hills instead of curshing them
I also have the GX1 do you know how I change it out of kilometers to miles per hour??? Please help I've tried everything power button 10 times six times hold down the plus minus for 10 seconds nothing's worked
from my understanding, the gx2 is the same as the gx1 just with a larger battery, so it goes a bit faster or a bit longer. I got the gx1 since it fit my budget better and I didn't think I'd be going on longer trips than 10 or 15 miles. so I'd consider how far you want to take it out, and how fast, as you get longer distance at lower speeds
I'm using a GoPro Hero10 attached to a generic head strap I got off amazon. I switch between the head strap and a clip that I can attach to the sternum-strap on my backpack.
It last about 19.7 miles on a full charge going full speed. A little less than advertised. You can get max miles advertised going 15-20 mph but not at 30 mph .
FYI- Of you are in the USA, Best Buy has a Gotrax Raptor, which is a GX1 with a slightly larger battery and a dark grey color for the same price or often cheaper. Otherwise the scooter appears to be the same. It's probably a Best Buy exclusive.
Yeah I have no clue if it's my battery charger if it's my battery but the specs are way off I don't even get 9 MI to a full charge it says it's supposed to do 25 miles to a full charge yeah okay no f****** way
This is my first scooter and honestly i'm really disappointed. The speed is fine and the quality is good, but the battery life is terrible; honestly i'd say it's false advertisement on their part. I have a 25km commute(combined) and it suppose to go like 50km but i ran out of the battery way before i got home and had to push it home for a while. They throw all these crazy specs at your face and how fun it is and then i have to stay far away from advertised speed on this thing if i want to get back home so what's the point anyway? it takes 5 hours to charge so i can ride it for like 45 minutes it's ridiculous! Are people who ride scooters actually ok with this? I'm selling mine and getting a retro ebike; at least i can still pedal home when it dies....
Yea I agree that the specs being advertised for distance are presented in such a way that it looks like it can go that far at max speed, but it's actually under ideal circumstances on a flat ground on the lowest gear. I shot a video testing that very thing to see just how far the GX1 can go on max settings, and it got to around 9-10 miles, so roughly 16km. You could have looked at the GX2 or GX3 which have larger batteries, but are more expensive, or you can bring the charger and charge it while you work, assuming you have space to do that. I can totally understand returning it after that experience though. Hope the ebike fits your needs better!
Yeah, you need to check they methodology for arriving at the range. Typically it is for some who is 165lbs and you need to drive in Eco mode or slower. Whatever range a scooter says, cut it in half to determine range at max speed.
My Gx3 last around 3 & half hour use using it on both Dual Motor. Quiet impressive.
Love this long-running video of scooter ride. Subscribed and hope to see more of them!

Reminds me of Michigan (with the deer crossing). Thank you for sharing!
@14:43 exactly why i love this hobby, it takes you to really crazy different scenic perspectives
For sure, I'm on the lookout for more off-road areas I can try out
@3:17 the deer crossing is gold!
the gotrex iz a solidly built heavy scooter it won't break
Dude, awesome videos! That looks like a nice area too. Question, does the neck have any play or wobble to it when locked in the upright position?
No not at all. It's a very thick neck. It's actually sometimes hard to get the thing to come down off the latch.
how long the battery lasts

@lurkchannel you gained a new subscriber
Just got mine. I think I would like to soften up the front shocks. Have you done any adjustment to yours?
Nah I haven't felt the need to adjust them
Great how does it feel going 30mph? Is it fast enough for you power-wise? Because it looks like it's fast on camera lol

In the power on state, press and hold the power button and light button for 5 seconds to switch between MPH and KM.
i cant esplain it rite now but when i ryde my scewter i feel soo good
How much battery did you have left when you ended video?
How well does this carry you up steep hills?
It's great on hills. My other video has an example of going up a steep hill: th-cam.com/video/s9pR9WXRzsw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8L3lujEBoIYFpHKi&t=297
im thinking about getting the gx2 but im just wondering which one do you think is better vaule for money gx1 or gx2?

Whoa 60lbs is a lot to carry.. but that thing is sick
What kind of cam do you use and how is it attached?
I'm using a GoPro Hero10 attached to a generic head strap I got off amazon. I switch between the head strap and a clip that I can attach to the sternum-strap on my backpack.
Hey I got this scooter for a week but the breaks makes a lot oof noise.... Do you have that problem?
Yea, mine squeals if I'm breaking, more at higher speeds. Probably just need to adjust the calipers, but it hasn't bothered me enough yet lol
My gx2 brakes work well...but squeak right out the box
yes my brakes are loud, you can adjust the caliper to reduce
How far in range does the Gx1 typically last you before dying?
it claims to last around 25 miles but i've only ever gotten the battery about half-way down so far, but it seems to live up to that expectation
It last about 19.7 miles on a full charge going full speed. A little less than advertised. You can get max miles advertised going 15-20 mph but not at 30 mph .
If it does 19 going max speed that not that bad@rausyahsosauceyah772

Is the gotrax gx1 UL certified ?
On their website it says "Safety Certified, In accordance with UL 2272"
