Haunted Mansion Holiday is a unique Holiday overlay of Disney's Classic Haunted Mansion Dark ride at Disneyland Park in California and Tokyo Disneyland in Japan! Haunted Mansion Holiday has guests following Jack Skellington as he decks the Haunted Mansion's Halls with Christmas Cheer! This time around, multiple changes have been made to this Year's Haunted Mansion Holiday with new projection scenes at the end of the ride and a completely revamped Attic Scene, presumably due to the new Bride and Hitchhiking Ghosts scene arriving to the mansion once Haunted Mansion Holiday Wraps up! This POV shows off Haunted Mansion Holiday is in the best way possible, capturing the best lighting and colors of the attraction, bringing all the hard work cast members and Imagineers have done to the Haunted Mansion to transform it into the Haunted Mansion Holiday Attraction guests have come to love and enjoy! The Haunted Mansion Holiday will most likely be running completely on a virtual queue this season due to most of the queue being under construction, make sure to book your virtual queue for the Haunted Mansion Holiday either early in the morning at 7:00AM or 12:00PM in order to experience the attraction for yourself! The Haunted Mansion Holiday ride at Disneyland Park in California is a must-do when visiting the Disneyland Resort since it is a limited-time seasonal offering!

Not necessarily. We should assume that this is the same animation as in past years, used just because it was available. It may not indicate anything about future plans.
I believe the Ghost Host figure is a physical object.

was disney planning a "christmas in july" theme to bring Haunted Mansion Holiday this early? i kinda feel bad for those who planned to visit the park on august only for them to not experience the original attraction...
the ride has been down since january so it would be a waste to have the normal ride open for a week or two, then to have it down again to add the theme to it
It would have been better to skip the holiday overlay this year. Better it than the classic version.

Guys! Notice the presents in the oogie boogie section. Those are digital!!!! Which means that Disney has already installed the new hitchhiking ghosts, which will go into effect after January.

@@ethanmcewan88 there was a rumor that Disneyland would be getting digital ghosts like the ones in Disneyworld. With the introduction of digital versions of the presents in Haunted Mansion Holiday, it can only mean that the hitchhiking ghosts are going digital as well.

I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about the new animation projections on the moon in the boarding area they look really crisp and clear and they seem to have different more realistic 3D graphics and motions then they did in previous years and that NEW Attic scene is going to need some getting used to for me bc it feels very strange with all of the rearrangement of props and animatronics in this scene! Again kind of disappointed about the 2 missing props in the Portrait Hallway scene the 1st being the “Ho Ho Ho” & “Noel” light signs on the marble busts and there used to be a candy cane monster that had glowing red eyes and sharp teeth with a right arrow sign that read “Free Sleigh Rides” on it and it was always located on the edge of the wall next to the marble busts before you entered the boarding area/ loading corridor! Again love what they did with this year’s Haunted Mansion Holiday as it’s always a treat but not a big fan of the new concrete pavement or the new rod iron rails in the new queue I severely miss the old rod iron stanchions with chains as it seemed to fit much better with the Haunted Mansion’s creepy old atmosphere and I’m really not a big fan of the Hearse’s new placement! 😢 Overall I still really love the Haunted Mansion & Haunted Mansion Holiday but I really hope Disney can still deliver on the extended exterior queue and make it feel like it belongs with the Haunted Mansion bc this ride really does deserve better then what’s got now!

They close it in late August to become haunted mansion holiday, it also closed with the overlay up so they probably didn’t want to take it down for a couple weeks just to put it back up.

How is it cheap, it's smart knowing they would reopen during Halloween or Xmas so why spend the money to remove then and to install it

It looks rushed and not as creative. Like they used a tonnof christmas presents as filler. They could have done so much more detail if they were going to get rid of the original theme like that. It’s like its more for very small children now. What a shame.
