Evolve Shaman got me to rank 10 so far this month, highest I'd been before was 14 (I'm casual f2p). I love it. I tried a deck similar to Kripp's previous to my current one & it wasn't great. Too many spells, not enough minion generation. You won't have evolution every turn so you need stuff to bridge the turns in between
Same here, this is deck is good for f2p because it's relatively cheap i mean it's just 2 doppels and 2 evolves then make the rest of the deck however you want (it's better if you focus on the evolve mechanic but it's still good just as an insane turn 6 power play) also I lucked out and got the shaman DK as my free one from the lich king
DK Thrall is such an amazing card for Constructed. You almost never want to Totem there, so why not just replace the hero power with something better? In Arena though, it's nowhere near as good. If you're already losing, this *might* save you, but you're probably still dead. And if you're winning, you'll just win harder...usually.
In arena if you're loosing very little might save you... your best bet is card draw RNG of the opponent being worse than your own - i.e. topdecking. This is why arena is Curvestone - you must never fall behind. In this specific case the Thrall DK hero is worse than the default shaman hero power, since evolution effects make a taunt 0% if you have no minions on board, and in less than 25% of cases if you do, and that is how the default power can actually save you if you fall behind with a fixed 25%, to give you another draw.
You definitely want totems in constructed. They synergize with everything good about evolve Shaman: evolve, bloodlust, flametongue, and thing from below. The hero card has a great battlecry but the hero power is pretty garbage honestly.
Wrong. Evolve Shaman is a Tier 2 deck, and most variants don't even use the hero card. I'd argue that the little play it sees right now is only because it's a flashy new card; in a few weeks it'll be cut from all lists.
Since evolve/devolve shaman is one of the few good decks against jade druid I think it will not be phased out soon. I would actually call it almost Tier 1 in this meta.
I've noticed that Kripp complains a lot about topdecks when the card he is referring to isn't actually a topdeck. Like in this video at 18:15. Happens even more during his livestreams that don't make it to TH-cam.

Hey Kripp, could you thicken the bold outline effect on your clip/highlight intros? They are kind of hard to read when they flash on screen next to all the visual noise of the mulligan phase. I think if you made the black outline thicker it would be easier to read. I find myself going back and pausing to read it when it disappears before the board empties. Thank you, if you see this, for caring.
Token Evolve Shaman is the most fun I've had with this game in years. I am rapidly climbing the ranks with it and having a blast! The only thing I really lose to is priests that stall the game out. Even Jade Druid is beatable about 50% of the time.

Compared to how Broken Frost Lich Jaina is, and Uther with his Walletdin deck, Thrall is not anywhere near as broken, but definetly a fun card to play around with.
Could anyone with basic knowledge on maths and Hearhstone explain it to me why the hell when you evolve your minions with Thrall, Deathseer instead of evolving to minions that cost (2) more they evolve to minions that cost (3) more? Evolving Doppelgangster makes 8 mana cost minions, not 7....
I got this hero zombie card and I'm sad. I don't really like it and I think it's probably the worse. I don't have good cards so i can't really build a deck helping this power.

When you evolve the 2/1 it doesn't draw a card. It's just a random 3 drop at that point. The 2 mana 1/1 however, Does draw a card because It's a Battlecry effect. So, it's a Random 3 drop that has a benefit of Drawing a card.

I don't utterly despise it the same way I hate Freeze Mage, Pirate Warrior or Jade Druid, it's just a general contempt for decks that are _literally_ 100% leaning on RNG as a substitute for skill. "Oh look, my 3-drop evolved into a Flamewreathed Faceless, I win. Oh, but my totem evolved into a Doomsayer, I guess I lose."

Any reason why he couldn't just lightning storm at 4:35? seems like a far better option than what he did.

Problem is you get destroyed by spreading plague if you don't have either evolve or the DK on turn 5.
