7:17 that EK on mint CPRs had me saying out loud, “oh fu**” 12:57 Del Sol just looks so mid 2000’s, it’s perfect nostalgia 18:14 I owned an ej1 many years ago and these coupes brought me way back, brought a little envy too 25:53 aye! 30:10 huge fan of DAs thank you for showing us this one
i love how joe knows almost every honda at this meet and every part on every car, goes to show you he knows his stuff and that is why he is the honda judge for wekfest. if you win a honda award at wekfest with joe as the judge you should be very proud that you have one of the best show car hondas in the world
this is so up my alley. I still have my eh2 that had bolt-ons in '02, a b16a swap in '03, boost in maybe '05 and it's third and best resto-mod in '09. my inspiration was Super Street, SCC, h-t, HMT, and a few work trips to Japan. to see that shout out for the ffsquad sticker truly is full circle. thanks for this, Joey! Still bringing us the best of the best of the best!
Yes I have been waiting for you to show the Upstart coupes !! 😄 The LHD JDM EJ1 was a 1994 Honda Primo 10th anniversary edition. Avalible in Horizon Grey, a year prior to US. The normal JDM coupe don't have a moonroof.
LOVE the Coupe/EJ1 content. Currently working on a Cameila Red Pearl EJ1 restomod that I’ve owned for nearly 11 years. These cars dont get as much love as the hatches
When you were talking about how they are kinda going after the Cali style of the 2000s.. I found that really cool. I remember in the 2000s when people would get Wings West or Xenon lip kits and say "clean jdm style". I do miss the Honda Golden era for sure! It was so unique back then, but glad to see it alive and appreciated.
Extends, always workin its magic somehow. Longer, stronger, etc etc. No matter the reason the insight and connections you have are a worth while watch. Edit: yo that cat was staring into my soul at the end lol. Sick little Honda meet, hella nice cars overall.
Makes me miss my 1994 "Camelia Red" EJ1 (Civic Coupe) that I built a B18A Block(bored out 0.030) with B16B Head and 1998 Type-R Transmission with LS Final Drive! This car SCARED me because of the Torque and Horsepower...
Answer: The Girls! Jokes aside. The NSX cabin intake is brilliant! If it is hot outside air conditioning would be pulled from cabin into cold air intake 🤔👍🏿
So damn cool that you were there to see this. I agree with you 100% with the fact that if it weren’t for you …. What would this show actually look like???🤔 do most of the younger guys even know your history?? Thanks again for another sweet video!
It’s so interesting seeing how the Japanese consider West Coast California style of tuning. Nice to see how they interpret it from the other side of the world. Love the content as always Joey!
@@THECHRONICLES I probably didn’t said it right but you can’t convince me that we didn’t develop the type of influence between US and Japanese audience when it comes to USDM or JDM car, heck if it wasn’t for the F&F I wouldn’t know about Japanese Cars that a lot of our generation grew up on
@@NoypiTexan I wouldn’t be able to convince you because you don’t know what being a car enthusiast was before F&F came along. This style and the connection between the US and Japan has little to do with anything those movies promoted. They created a completely different style independent of whatever you’re seeing here. You’d be doing car enthusiasts before you a terrible injustice if you just assumed a Hollywood movie created this influence. Actually you’d be doing your own generation of enthusiasts the same by believing that.
@@THECHRONICLES well it’s very much appreciated Joey. Stay safe and thank you for what you do. I was sad to see in the last video at Real Company the Temple crx was wrecked! I didnt know that happened and I’ve admired that car for awhile now.
Are we not going to talk about the Brian McKnight playing in the background crazy loud? Lol it’s the saddest damn song ever and to be played at a show hahaha
This is great! Is it just me, or does everyone (Japan & US) have so much contempt and disdain for the ES Civics, they literally NEVER include them in any meets, events, etc.? Kudos to Thailand for being one of the only regions that loves and mods ES Civics....and damn nice at that! Also notice the lack of EP type R's as well. C'mon Japan, if you're gonna represent the later Civics, do it right and be more inclusive!
It really depends on what it is. Generally some stuff is more readily available and the Yen isn’t as strong as the U.S dollar so yeah, you can say it’s cheaper.
So many cars left out didn't get to see the green dc2 or da6 and the cars in thw back would of loved the full show at least show the cars not a full view. Some of us may never get the access like you and so much left unseen😢😔💙🏎
falling back in love with Hondas all over again. Thanks joey!

Loving the content, getting my EP3 repaired at the bodyshop... cant wait to drive it again after seeing this.
Super Dope meet! Had no idea Japan would do USDM look ❤
Thanks for the video Joey!
0:00 resident evil vibes anyone? Loving the Japan content Joey!
That Akira/ Kenada bike though!!!
Thankyou, love your chill presenting style.
As always great content
My gosh everything is fire at that meet!

You can thank Paul Walkers movies on that
This type of styling has absolutely nothing to do with The Fast and the Furious lol

They all look clean ASF!
The most USDM mod award… CD holder on the sun visor of UpStart yellow EK.
Those custom CF-48's ❤️
Interesting song selection in this meet , I didn’t expect to hear Bryan McNight -one last cry
Yeah Japan can be a little weird like that sometimes lol
Damn they pulled those cars off almost to the T. lol and here I thought Americans were trying to keep up with Japanese jdm cars 🚗 lol..
❤️❤️❤️ come back soon to make more videos here man!
Maybe after the summer season haha
The Integra with the JDM/USDM front end had me super confused for a few minutes
Joey joey don't go nono joey don't go..
Best of Brian McKnight playing in the background
I need to go to Japan! Looks amazing! Are there any rules on taking car parts back with you on the plane? Lol
Same restrictions for any type of international flight lol.
I've already watched this three times...wow! 🤣
Yessss, another one!
You extended your stay to bring us more great videos!! Haha
Basically yes

Thanks for the vids Joey! I really hope we get to see those CRXs in the next episode. :D
They are indeed in the next episode 😄
@@THECHRONICLES Awesome!!
Nice video Nice Cars👌🏻
Just stay there bro, we love the content!
Lol too late
I've seen that interior color go well with black exterior on an Integra, how about a color change to the black from RDX A spec?
wearing a towel on your head because it's too hot is such a Joey Move.
I wouldn't even bother coming back.
Lol
Atleast Taco Bell in Japan will be sanitary and less likely to make you shit yourself
merci pour tes videos c est cool

Omg. Del Sols finally. LOL
Have you seen any CB7's over there ever?
its funny the girls that advertise at 6:20 cover their face even when they have a mask on haha
"just like the US people just walk through the shot" I see no lies 😂
So damn cool
Can I post the Upstart part on my IG?
Sure
@@THECHRONICLES let me know if you can send me that part @purple_coupe those TH-cam downloads dont don't do the quality justice tbh
How's the essentials hoodie? Is it worth to get it or just a hype?
Depends on what you’re looking for an a hoodie lol
Are parts cheaper to source in japan?

Weren’t civic coupes usdm only?
Nope they were just manufactured here but sold in Japan and elsewhere
To be honest, I wish I had the finances to Import a 1997-2000 Honda Type-R Sedan (in Matador Red), as they where only a JDM Vehicle...
@JD Do your research, JAPAN had Type-R's in the Sedan Version due to MAXIMUM CAPACITY rules...
LMAO THAT!
To be usdm, just k swap it lol and maybe add awd too
Nope.
東京は疲れるよね。刺激はあるけどね。
why wouldn't you stay? japan looks perfection
Because I have a pretty good life at home too lol
