Thanks for your videos Donny! My grandpa was a faller on the central coast of bc all his working years. He still has a 3120 he bought used, he used it for milling, but had been used exactly as you say for ripping logs for heli logging. Dad has a little husky 351 that your shop walkerized, man probably 15 years ago, that thing still rips! Still on the original piston too. I've done some porting on a few stihls of my own, 362, and a 460, aiming for a good 'working saw' build. enjoy hearing your ideas and theorys on what works and what doesn't.
Great video mate! And I think you'll like the 881. I've had one here in Australia for 6 months now. Mine lives with a 41 hard nose bar full house 404 and walks through our hard woods like butter! Even when burried noes deep. So far I can't fault it stock out the box .
Hey Donny, why is a dull Chain frying the Saw? There is no change in the Fuelratio? What happens exactly? Is it frying even with a limited Coil ?Thanks for your Wisdom!
The ignition coil I used to use has changed I’ve tried a couple of others but iam trying to get a flywheel ignition match that is Better I’ve always liked 3120 saws but not lately the ms 881 is the best big saw
Yes sir, if you switch to the unlimited coil, will the chain oiler keep up? I haven’t used a 3120. My large saw now is a 2100CD. Thanks and take care. P.S. The go kart coverage is fun. Been interested in those since the early ‘60’s.
