I like the chirpin marshally tone it has,… not sure it’s as pleasant in the room as a real plexy but i feel the vibe. What i do appreciate the most are the MANY switcheable options and sound diversity. Not selling any amps i currently have but that one makes me want a new amp ;) Great demo Michael
I’m going to be ordering one. Just not sure if a front loaded 4X12 cab like Diezel’ or Freyette’ would be the way to go, or a Friedman with the V30/Greenbacks for this amp… Greatly appreciate some insight on this. Great video and playing by the way. Cheers everyone 🤘🏼
Try the Scumback m55pvc and m75pvc if you want that old greenback vibe with clearer definition. The m55pvc will give a little bit more bottom end and a tad less highs. You can't go wrong with that combination.
The versatility of this amp is insane. You could spend hours on all the different tones you can get. I tried the rev 1, loved it!. Channel 2, on vintage, with zener clipping, and one of the bright caps on and the gain up. Got some gorgeous thick tones with a nice amount of hair for some stoner metal. Great demo, as always!. You make my GAS worse!. Haha.
My alta has outdueled both my Helios 100 and small box for the #1 amp throne in my arsenal AND I opened mine up last night to to bias it and can say the inside is a work of art. Every bit of craftsmanship as a Friedman or bogner!
@@alexnuzzi4780 I wasn’t saying that it didn’t rival craftsmanship of those brands. What I am saying is that those brands have decades of brand awareness. This is clearly a professional product and I want to see him succeed. It has no comment on quality or sounds. I think those speak for themselves
That home made guitar is freaking awesome!!! My favorite pickup configuration - H-S. All you need. Humboogey for crunchy rock tones and the single coil in the neck for the stratty lead tones. Is this a Warmoth build? I've been thinking about building a guitar, and I saw the empty headstock as soon as your video opened and was instantly intrigued. Tell us more about this guitar!! Awesome video - your sounds are always killer - no filler! \m/
My 1968 Marshall 100 watt Super Lead can sound just like this amp and many others (if not better) if I put the right distortion box in the signal chain. Sounds very 80's but guess what? They were using Marshalls with distortion boxes in signal chain... Great playing as usual, good job landing these amp promo's dude!
All the new amps sound almost identical when played with a specific person. I have a `77 JMP Master Model that's timeless and can cover almost all high-gain tones. It's a plateau. We need something new. We need a new innovation. Options switches are great but I end up running my BE100Dlx with all the options turned off. I have a Bugera 1960 Infinium that blows my mind so bad I'm afraid to plug it it. Not sure if I got a good one or they just sound like a great vintage plexi straight out of the box but the amp is huge. Close your eyes it's a vintage Marshall all the way. In fact, of all the monster amps I own and I have a ton, the Bugera 1960 is the one that gets closest to EVH straight in. If you're paying $4500 for a new head I think you might want to rethink your options. There's nothing like an old vintage amp to reignite that fire.
@@mikescotch8894 it's the "2-4-6-8" numbers that's bothering me. And then we have the 2 volumes on the back which is a huge turn off, even if I'm not touching em but once a week it's like damn, we couldn't fit em on the front? All red lights on the buttons, hate how that looks clustered there, 12 buttons kinda smooshed up with same color indicators? This guy is a KILLER builder. But he needs help designing a layout/panel/scheme to compliment the build if I'm being completely honest.
Thanks for the vid Michael, your composition and playing skills help to bring out the best in the amp!
That’s the sound in my head when I think about 80s hair metal. I really like how percussive the palm muted notes are. It’s pretty sick!
This sounds amazing i just ordered one. Wow As always killer playing brother.
It's worth subscribing just to hear those amazing original compositions.
Man, THAT SOUND.. So good, agressive but kinda smooth, perfectly balanced frequency wise.. Amazing. And the intro is really top notch (as always).
Sounds like the JCM800 we always wanted. Very nice.
There are always two options:
1) Practicing
2) Listen Michael play cool music on gear you can't afford
Holy crap, what a sound, it absolutely rips !!
That was some lovely melodic playing! And wow, do all of those options make a difference! Every setting sounded great.
Keep hearing great things about these amps. Intrigued.
Sounds KIIIILER!!! I will be gigging mine all summer😎
🤘love seeing headfirst getting showcased, Jason builds amazing Australian made amps!
Sounds amazing!
Great stuff, Michael. You had that head howling! Congrats, Jason!
Thanks Brett!
I have to get one of these...brilliant demo, as ever, Michael, ol' son👍
Sounds killer Michael!!
I have the cali/ evil joe from Jason and its absolutely incredible. jason makes great stuff and deserves all the attention he can get!
Love an EMG85 in the bridge 🤘🏻
yea bro 85 bridge and 60 in the neck :) that's been my set up in one of my les paul's since forever
What a great sounding amp! I think I could play double stops all day long with this, Thanks again for another cool video.

Great demo Michael
Yeah, it sounds amazing and the demo is brilliant - as usual :)
Nice work Jason!
This is the first sound that comes to my head when i think of heavey chops.
This is the amp that Joe Satriani SHOULD have chosen for the upcoming EVH tribute tour! (He probably doesn't know about it yet?)
Hell yeah!
Wow! That sounds great! Aggressive and tight.
Mike, you should do a video on the Splawn Quickrod. Super nice amps
Sounds awesome . Would love to hear a side by side with a BE100 🤘🤘🤘
love it. Great sound. Great song. love that guitar!!!
Sounds really good to my ears
Haven't seen the ol' Warmoth out in a while!

Hi, I have a Friedman 4x12 with the V30 and GB combo and it pairs great with the Alta
@@HeadfirstAmps Excellent! I was hoping that V30/Greenback combination would be ideal. Good to know that’s definitely one to go with. Thank You!

That orange guitar is hot! What brand parts are they?
sounds amazing and he does GREAT work, but we are over Bogner and Friedman pricing now - should it need service does it need to go back to AUS?
No, service in Indiana
@@jasonktong1 Thanks Jason - appreciate it.

Has that bogner low mid chewy gain
wow headfirst on the channel? headfirst bigtime now
Killer sound!
Quite the capable amp !
Yes, yes and yes some more … that tone lives in my dreams on repeat 😈
Damn I want one. Michael you and Cameron Cooper have great styles. You both are tasty players! Love watching you and hearing you play man.
Michael, great video. I wish I can buy every amp you present. sigh. You seriously got to teach me how to phrase like that!!!
The Orange Warmoth returns! 😀👍
This amp has way better presence to it than my Redseven The Dirt.
Amazing as always. I want this amp though!
Awesome

so can it get into a soldano zone brightness? I like hot rodded marshall tones but I prefer SLO/EVH sizzle
So Mike… REVV Gen 120 mkiii vs Headfirst Alta 100 v2?
Dude! Rippin tone! But....the price man!? I could buy a decent motorcycle for that! Killer playing as always.
Great amp, but with a Marshall and an OD foot pedal, I bet Mike would sound just as good.
What body and neck did you use to build the fiddle?
Both Warmoth parts.
So this or bogner ectasy for me🥰
Gut Punching BALLS!
HEADFIRST!
Sounds killer 😎 not sure if it was your (great) playing, but this amp sounds like 1987 and No Rest For The Wicked had a big hairy kid 😂🤘🤘🤘

3790, you kidding me? Yeah it sounds great but...3790+taxes to europe.
These half assed layed out front panels kill me. 😂

Huh?!
How so, Tim?
