I cannot give you enough thanks for the Woman Warrior cookbook. I never thought I would eat vegan anything. I am 76 years young and a heart patient. I never listened to anyone about nutrition. I even did low carb high fat diet but it was not sustainable for me. I cannot believe that I like almond milk, tumeric, and can make a dynamite vegan soup. I am sending you a bunch of Warrior Woman hugs. Ann has been an inspiration. I love baby bok choy. I cannot believe I am doing this. Love and Peace. Elizabeth from Florida.
😍 Love these apple pancakes. They look delicious! We used to eat these as kids, called „Apfelküchle“ (German for little apple cakes), but of course with all the bad stuff in it (oil, eggs). Great to see 3 generations of plant strong and plant healthy women warriors!
My 9 year old grand daughter and I watched this video together today and followed our new cook book , be a plant based woman warrior and made this incredibly delicious child approved apple flax flax jacks recipe. They were easy to make and absolutely delicious. I'm bringing them to a family gathering tomorrow and know they will he a huge hit! We love you all. 😍
Hey! Glad you two are new to this way of eating! I'm gonna recommend Mary and Heather McDougall for ways to make it easy;) And there are sooo many great channels alongside this one! Well Your World, Chef AJ, Debi Chew, Brand New Vegan, Plantiful Kiki, and probably thousands more;)
@@GaiaGalaxy420 Besides the one-pot meals of bean soups and vegetable stews which I eat every day, usually more than once, I also love Well Your World's Oat Clusters, and Brand New Vegan's Cowboy Caviar. But day to day, I'm just cooking potatoes, oats, brown rice, beans, green salads, cooked vegetables, air-fryer baked sweet potatoes, and having fresh fruit on the side, perhaps a few walnuts or flaxseed a couple times a week;)
Oh my stars, I need to make these for Thanksgiving breakfast! (I might just use my apple-core thingy to cut out the core though). "The first one is usually sacrificial". You guys are so real. (That's the taste-tester one I feed to my husband...) Watching Ann idly munch on the sideline just makes me smile. The plates are beautiful, ladies! Yum to the moon!
I'm loving the videos and can't wait to try this this weekend! Crile is a doll also...and is a perfect role model "woman Warrior". LOVE this family so much :)
They look yummy and I`m in with the peanut butter too:) I May be weird but I chew on a seed by itself and think they taste like almond to which I like almond flavor.
I have been making these every morning for some time. I use freshly ground oat and wheat flour but not vinegar, vanilla, oatmilk, yogurt, or flax. Water, baking powder, and cinnamon make a fine less calorie-dense batter. I top it with peanut sauce made with PB Pure, water, and a dab of maple syrup, plus some fresh berries. Talk about addiction. It tastes like it is bad for me. Thanks for the idea.
I did not see a link for the recipe but was able to write it down from the transcript. How much baking powder please? Is there a particular type of apple that cooks up better? They look delicious and fun. Thank you!
Made these tonight, but the batter wouldn't stay on them... even tried them in the oven but still no go. Ended up chopping the apple up into chunks and baking it in one giant shape and it did better.
Question. I hope you can help. I just started eating plant based yay. I eat twice as much foods and feel better however my fingernails out of no where are now so brittle and soft. What can I do?
Brittle nails could be a sign or iron deficiency. I’m chronically anemic (even when I eat meat) and I see a noticeable increase in nail strength and reduction in hair fall when I take a liquid iron supplement.
apple flax rhymes with apple jacks which is a breakfast cereal filled with junk ingredients like probably artificial apple flavor and a ton of sugar. so this flapjacks, even though not a cereal, it goes after the same flavor profile but with deliciously healthy ingredients, and would make a great replacement!
I meant to say, my mom was "whole food plant based" but with too much fat and salt, and some animal products. Well, she had a minor stroke a few weeks ago, she is okay (probably because her diet was better than normal) and has gone 100% whole-food-LOW FAT-plant-EXCLUSIVE! :) her high BP came down to normal, without any medications, from 240/140 to 130/70 in just two weeks. She is also losing 4 pounds a week, and is getting out of bed more than before, walking upright, and relying less on her walker. At age 83, she's proof that it's never too late to get it right;)
Looks like Crile inherited the rower's physique. Is she a rower, or a swimmer? Great shape, all three of you! Thanks for being such standout examples of great health, inside and out:)
I think it's plant-based woman warrior because Ann was the starting force in the family to transition to plant-based. Jane is just so proud of her mom she wanted to dedicate the book to Ann's beliefs, teachings and hence plant-based women warriors.
Absolutely just as important for men as for women!-we grabbed the opportunity of this book to highlight how plants powerfully support women- plus it is a tip of the hat to my mom and all she has done in the plant-based space.❤

These look really nice, I'll make them tomorrow. I'm 6 days into plant based and am so glad I found your recipes.
Good for you! Im also new to plantbased and got their book a week ago. Which recipe is your favorite so far?

We made these and WOW! They are so good! We used maple syrup and raspberries.
I can't wait to try this recipe. I just got your cookbook this week and I had planned on making these this weekend. Perfect timing !!
This was such a wonderful delight :) sooo much fun to see all of you cook together :D immaculate decoration :) thank you so much for sharing
These look sooooooo good! And I love Ann, she is so cute and sweet Thank you all 🙂
Might try dragging the apples through some of the flour before coating with batter. It might stick better.
Love your family and thanks for the recipe. I love it!
Made the mistake of using refrigerator cold apples on the first batch. Much better results with room temperature ingredients.
Have you tried using an apple corer prior to slicing the apple? Does it crack the slice by using the corer?
Those look so good! can't wait to try them
Your family gatherings must be so fun and interesting, you three ladies are hysterical together. Jane, you are a total crackup. Love you guys! 💚
I'd like to try adding some maple syrup to the batter so I could take mine to go!
Was that a 1/4 table or teaspoon of baking powder?
Great job Crile! Looks delicious!
These look yummy! I have an apple corer that I think I will try before cutting them into slices.
Oh yum ! I am such an apple fiend ! This is amazing and I will definitely try them ! Thank you so much for sharing !
I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow!

What kind of pan are you using?
I need a new pan, so I have the same question.

This is great because I have an oat allergy, so I'll just use the WW Flour. Thank you for remembering us non-oat people =)
This one is a must try. ❤❤❤
Thanks Ladies! I will definitely make this one!🍎🥞

Errors sometimes makes the best meals! Go Crile 👏 ❤
I'll watch this. You all have the same eyes! As if no one has ever said that before.
Oooo ill have to try this tomorrow 🎉
Nice recipe. Bet it smells good.
Great recipe!!!
Yum…good breakfast idea 🌱 “govegan”
Thanks
Suggestion. Use an apple corer before trying to slice into disks. Faster and less waste
Great idea!

Crile's a swimmer. She's impressive, alright! Admirable family.
These look beautiful! 🎉Who is Crile?
Jane’s daughter
I would serve these with hashbrowns or air fryer fries
Could make mini banana flapjacks and fill the hole.
more Crile please
Seeds have arsenic, not cyanide.
No it’s cyanide, naturally produced by the apple.
@@kovy689 I believe it’s arsenic. I watched a nutrition show on apples.
@@montelou42 I said apples produce cyanide naturally. So do almonds.
I love you guys but why do you call your mom or gramma by her first name?
Why woman? This movement is just as important for men
True. It’s just groupie thing.

Totally understand Jane, this is a well-deserved and touching tribute to your beautiful Mom. We luv her bunches.💕
