How To Slow Down Animation In Maya | FPS, Playback Speed, and Retime Tools
I tutor a lot of beginner animators who run into this same issue. They start animating in Maya and then hit play, and their animation just zips through at 200 miles per hour. Here are some simple tips and ideas to help you slow down your animations in Autodesk Maya.
So there are several ways to slow things down in Maya, but if you are asking this question, I am guessing that you have messed with the frame rate. Just don't touch that! Leave it at 24 FPS. Almost all animation that 99% of you will ever deal with is going to be 24FPS.
