Those Dom Games were kind of insane. Completely outplaying the tanky meta of rts-controlled ships. great job

Nice video! Good to see Antraax helping cast.
This reminds me of playing Dom a few months ago and bringing Crucible (my 1.5mill railkite) with a small sensor ship. While I wasn't exactly fighting top players it did surprisingly well. It would camp the middle point and one-shot anything small that came in range, and if something survived the rails it also has nukes, or could kite off the point as a last resort.

That second team match was *GOLD!* I still remember talking in the team multiplayer chat box [The little check box that makes your messages only seen to your teammates] and discussing our plan of attacks, which was proposed by me. The idea was to get a killing shot on Deniz from the back as he was distracted by blaze and Astro charging in to cause chaos to you two, which I thought worked fine at first but then I realized Deniz is smart and payed a lot of attention to redundancy, plus I couldn't escape the initial charge (I got too close) and proceeded to get brutally massacred in the biggest overkill I've seen *7:00**.* It was such an extremely fun match XD
    Well played to ya'll.

Glad to see you back and posting.
If you have a single ship, how can you win if the opponent just spams cheap unarmed ships for capturing points? They would literally just pay for themselves and regardless of the cost or the speed of your main ship it just wouldn't have the capturing power to counter. Plus all of it's combat ability is essentially wasted if it's capturing a point and not fighting. Then even if you 'cheat' and spawn in a ship to capture points, they only have to spawn in a ship capable of defeating that one and not your main ship.
I think a strategy that would work better for you if it's possible, is to have cheap unarmed ships with a tiny bit of armor, some forwards speed and maybe a hyperdrive beacon if your main ship is slow. Then just send them out to sit on capture points and forget about them until you want to jump your main ship to a beacon or need to spawn in another batch. Just the cheapest possible ships purely for capturing points that you don't need to care about while controlling your main ship.

eh he's an elim player, give 'em a break. there are some saving graces to this play style.
      - you only need one point to keep the game going, at least until timer
      - my "small capping ship" is capable of defending itself against many ships, and he could spawn two if need be
also the strategy you suggested kinda sucks tbh, wastes money, adds unnecessary micro, and is easily countered.

It was pretty funny watching you play dom, it looked so wrong but once the Eidolon shows up you stopped kidding around. I think you'd probably crash hard woth this strat against a competitive dom player lol

Heh, undoubtedly. Part of the reason this works at all is the esoteric budget set up and the fact that people overly respected and focused my one ship instead of just ignoring it and capping points.

    Saris playing Dom??? Heresy!
