the pre-drafting i think is going to make a huge difference for me. I have been struggling to draft, it would just be stuck and I didn't know what I was either doing wrong or could fix.
I hope it does help. It's so rewarding when it all comes together in one fluid motion, but the fiber will be just as beautiful when pre-drafting and a lot less to coordinate all at once. Happy spinning.
@@TextileIndie Not yet! But your help makes it seem accessible even for this old dog. I’ve been sewing my whole life and also enjoy crochet and knitting. I’m growing flax with the hope that I’ll eventual grow flax of textile quality. I’ll start spinning with wool, though. :) Thanks, again!
@@meghanmacrae6195 I would love to grow flax! What part of the world (climate) are you in? I want to hear all about it, so keep me posted. Mom (Cheri) keeps reminding me all these "pat your head and rub your tummy" type fiber skills are good for cognitive health. It's never too late!😉

I'm in New England; so, i should be able to grow flax if i prep the soil properly. We'll see! Your mom is right. Always keep learning!
