  • Mt Isa to Karumba, Burke & Wills Roadhouse, Normanton
After a few days of catching up on work in Mt Isa, I hit the road again and head north. I absolutely loved the drive from Mt Isa to Karumba, up in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Feeling so blessed to be on this trip and enjoying all the birdlife (I must have seen a thousand brolgas!).
I also loved getting to meet the down to earth locals at the Burke and Wills Roadhouse, which was such a surprise. It is an absolute oasis in the middle of nowhere.
Normanton was also a surprise; I loved the architecture and the real-life size replica of Krys - The Savannah King - the world’s largest saltwater crocodile! Karumba absolutely blew my mind, especially the first sunset of my 5 days stays there at the Sunset Tavern.
Hope you are loving watching my adventures as much as I loved being in them! I can’t believe I get to live this live, work, travel and meet so many amazing people.
    Happy travels!
