Lol it’s OK. You don’t have to say it’s a bad engine, I’ll say it for you. If you upgrade the head gasket torque down to the right specs and do some oil mods the 7MGTE pretty good engines.
@ayo9057 clean pre-89‘s go for around 20-25 based, post-89 can sell up to 40 grand. That is absolute ideal condition, options, and low mileage. Now that one right there I wouldn’t pay more than $2000. with a clean paint job and thhe engine completely gone through maybe 8-12. It’s tough because it’s a pre-89, automatic, non-turbo, with maroon interior(which some people like).
I graduated from HS in 87. That Supra was a pretty sweet ride back then. If it was a manual I'd say it'd be a fun "labor of love" project. You'd never get your money back out of it but what a trip down memory lane.
The 7MGE was the naturally aspirated engine and the 7MGTE was the turbo. I had a 1990 non turbo Surpa and a 1992 turbo. I enjoyed the cars but they both tended to have quite a few minor problems and I got rid of both well under 100,000 miles. I know a couple of people who had them with much higher miles and they had head gasket failures. The 2JZ engines in the generation after that is the engine you want they can pump out a ton of power without failing.
The 2GR-FKS replaced the 2JZ. Although the 2GR is a V6, I have heard of good power ratings from that motor as well. Its a guy here in Atlanta has a 2014 IS350. He added twin turbos and a tune. I think he is getting like 750 hp at the wheels.
All the 7MGTE needs is an oil mod, stopper head gasket, and ARP studs torque down to 82 foot pounds. Then it can put out 500hp on the long block, but that is expensive. I will stand by the 1uzfe swap with the non-turbo LSD 4:30 rear diff, and a rebuilt five speed R154
Yeah, they all need a new headgasket and ARP headbolts. The milage shouldn't really be an issue. Mine is still fantastic at 117K and I plan to use it for a long time.
I've had 6 of these supras. Currently I have one that's very nice and have alot of money in. Turbo 5 speed low miles. I've paid to have 8 headgasket jobs done over the years and won't do it again. I do alot of work on mine myself and it still is gonna cost me 8k to get it any faster even after having a built motor 7m put in.
That's insane. I always worry about it. My 88' was a garage queen and the last owner changed out the headgaket and valve stems. I think at 80-90K miles. She's at 117K now. Zero issues, probably needs a CPS rebuild, but I just hope I can just use her for many years to come and not have to worry about it. I bought it at 115K miles and obviously I don't drive that much.
You might want to do a video on; How to buy a hail damage car and fix the dents. How you need to fix and register a totaled car. How to buy a car through Copart. Basically, how to take any type/ category of car you buy and get it back on the road.
I think you could fix up that c63 and make some good money on it. It's a beautiful car. I had a 300d back in the early 2000s. It had 280k miles on it when I traded it and it was immaculate inside and out. I did all the maintenance myself and replaced the wear parts like on the suspension. These things will go a million miles easy.
My dad had a convertible Saab when I was a kid! He kept it for a very long time. It seemed like a spaceship, from my perspective lol. It was gloss black and such a beauty and looked like something Darth Vader would drive in the summer! It was gorgeous and he absolutely loved it. My sister and I just decided to find the same year and model and restore it to her former glory, as a gift for him. He lost the original to a garbage truck that lost control and totaled it while it was parked.
He's basically advertising for Copart with these videos, so of course he's allowed to do things all of us would be denied. There should be a 'special advertising feature' in the title.
The Saabs had style but never got the love they deserved. ARC is a mid model so it has some of the nicer bits but is still poverty spec in some areas. They're not for everyone but once you've driven one you realize they were some of the better built smaller cars for the time. Compare them to a similar Malibu, accord etc and they were right on par except safer.
I completely agree, I just sold my 06 aero combi and it was my favorite car despite owning Lexus and acuras. This gen tends to hold up pretty well usually, but when comparing ride quality to the competition it lacks for sure. The 07 and up feel a lot better with more sound insulation and better build quality. I’ll definitely always have a soft spot for them, and that 9-3 definitely won’t be the last Saab I’ll own
I’m guessing the Supra either needs a battery or more likely a starter relay wired in. The signal from the ignition becomes too weak with age to activate the solenoid on the starter. You wire in a relay that sends 12 volts straight from the battery to the starter solenoid with the original trigger wire as the relay signal. The actual high amperage cable does not change.
Definitely save the Supra. I saved mine from going to a junkyard and have zero regrets. Manual swaps are super easy too. The auto isn’t even that bad in them. They used that same automatic transmission until like 2007.
It's a good solid ass auto. It would be great to have a manual, but that's what I got (they are cheaper obviously as is NA so that's what I'm stuck with) I really don't mind that much. Picked up an auto GT-S Celica last year and that's another that begs for a manual, but it's the first time I've had a car with a "manual mode" and it's mandatory with the Celica, it's extremely temperamental with revs and what gear you are in. If you actually just drive it in regular D, it's almost unusable. With my 88' it goes freakin' GOES.
Randy, I am not a Mercedes guy but that pipe coming out of the hood makes it that much better that I would actually buy it. You know you need that in your life.😂😂
Those Cars were way ahead of their time, you can buy cars today that don't have those features Just an absolute joy to drive I had a 1987 and 1991 turbo Targa, that major issues were the seals in those engines they would leaked and oil got into the coolant systems causing those engines to over heat
Absolutely insane to see one of these at an auction. Even junked, they are worth a lot to an MK3 owner because of the sheer cost and rarity of all the parts. You could easily make a profit on this just parting out. This also is 100% identical to my 88' Supra, but thankfully she is in extremely good shape still and runs and drives exceptionally well. Was never a huge car guy before her, she's just the coolest damn thing on the road and it's a head turner.
Thanks for the video Randy I think it’s hilarious but you have more debates and more arguments with yourself than I have ever seen anybody I think it makes the videos very interesting I guess technically you’re not arguing with yourself you’re talking to the camera, but you do that a lot better than I ever could 😂
This gen was known for head gasket issues. I believe they recommended back when to retorque the head bolts. My friend had one that did overheat and blow the head gasket. Otherwise, it's a nice car.
Hey Randy, I just wanna let you know that I watched this morning’s video of the copper or ground. It’s pretty neat of all the cars that you showed this morning. I can’t wait to see the next video tonight if you got another one coming out later on. I’ll be looking forward to it if you do and I hope you have a great wonderful rest of the day today and I’ll be looking for your next video either today or tomorrow. I guess I’ll talk to you later buddy have a good day.
Randy I think you brought worse then that Supra home. I wouldn't think that thing would go for much could it? I say if you can get it cheap take a chance on it. It'll make for interesting content for sure. This had to be the most interesting walk around I've watched yet. I love the weird stuff.
I think with all these fumes you are facing, time to get that COVID-19 N95 mask... Probably have a box stored somewhere in the house lol! Wouldn't want you catching something 😊 Watching from Africa, Malawi.
I couldn't stop laughing when you were checking out the mercedes. I laughed even harder when it started right up. hehe. You have to get that one... I could see Monkeywrench Mike driving it around in Tulsa....
I've seen it all now! Strange day at the office for Randy, I loved it. I hope you buy that weird diesel, It be good content to make that look good and drive.
Nice. I had that supra in the early 00's that I drove in college. It was maroon with a stick. No targa top though. I regret selling it. I blew the engine once while doing donuts in a parking lot, replaced the engine. Then I lost 3rd gear and tried to replace the tranny myself and didn't do it right. The car would shake at 80 mph so I traded it in.
Hi Randy. I remember back in the 90's I Owned a Red Toyota Supra Turbo. It was a 1989. And it was proper fast. A beautiful car. Shame about the one your looking at lol. I actually like the Saab. That Merc looks crazy lol. Stay away. The C43 looks so sexy. Big money Randy. Anyway thanks for the great video again and Chat laters bro 😅😅
Randy sir, if you watch Faye Hadley, then you know besides Lunar Outlaws Garage, she is an Supra fanatic. You should let her work on it and do a video with her . She’s in Texas. I think she would appreciate it just as much if not more the Lunar Outlaws. Both are great channels. Flip a coin!!! 😁👍🏻
BMW was a tragedy 😮 Randy 🤔. It would be interesting to find out what happened to that beautiful ride 👍🫡. SSR looked sweet, maybe you should buy it lol. Only kidding, I knew it was yours 😂✌️
I Loved when you said Nos! I sprayed Nos in my Civic EF 1988 DX shell But it had a Acura Integra LS VTEC poor man's Type R lol after market custom built it was Red I need your help building cars my mom and dad had want be a badass guy Factory AC on the EF wished you find 1988-2000 and those easy to manual swap a joke two guys can getter done.
I brought 1980 Toyota Cilica that has 30K in excellent shape way back in 1987 for 3.3K with 20R engine. The car was very hot and cost 1.2K a year for insurance in MA. The part are inexpensive and I remember the passanger door has a striking plate missing and you have to slam real hrard to close. I found a lock from the junk yard for $2.00 and fixed this issue. I also went to Auto Mechanic evening school to learn and get help to maintain this car. I forced to sell this car in 1988 for 2.4K and the buyer was president of GM assembly plants for his HS graduation present! He was thwe one that told me that American GM car is a piece of sh_T!
Hey Randy ... watching your videos for a long time .. I was just wondering , did you ever consider buying one of those cars and just restorit to a factory glory? Maybe even make it better ? I know its a lot of work and most likely you dont have that time but that supra stand out on this parking lot! Realy shame that it end up there .... ! good videos.....
Saab actually makes a fantastic front wheel drive powertrain, I had an 06 9-3 with the turbo v6 and it very rarely understeered. There was 0 torque steer whatsoever, and in the winter I absolutely tore through the snow, I live In Minnesota too so it’s not easy on most cars
YES!!!!!!!!! Mk3 Supra for the win! I need it for my collection. I’ll come and get it.
Don’t tease me with the Supra and than walk over to the SAAB. stop playing with my emotions
Heck ya brother a 1uzfe with a HTV 2300 supercharger. It is a lunatic. If you end up getting it, we need to do that 1uz swapped in that.
You are right it is a targa. They are pretty straightforward to switch over to the R154 5 speed manual transmission
Lol it’s OK. You don’t have to say it’s a bad engine, I’ll say it for you. If you upgrade the head gasket torque down to the right specs and do some oil mods the 7MGTE pretty good engines.
Oklahoma isn't THAT far from you, right?
That Supra would be a cool restore.
Would cost a fortune though. First thing to go is the ugly rear bar they stuck on it. I'd go back to factory.
Pp❤❤❤
@@2DogsVlogs you can get one of those put together, and it not cost of fortune.
I agree @grandmaKeith
@ayo9057 clean pre-89‘s go for around 20-25 based, post-89 can sell up to 40 grand. That is absolute ideal condition, options, and low mileage. i love how many of these you post a day
I graduated from HS in 87. That Supra was a pretty sweet ride back then. If it was a manual I'd say it'd be a fun "labor of love" project. You'd never get your money back out of it but what a trip down memory lane.
They were absolutely cool 😎 I really wanted one back then. Too bad it is in such bad condition.
Still are cool. Mines an auto and I've still worked on it a ton and poured the money in. It's still an amazing car.
My first car was an 04 Saab 93 convertible. Loved that car!
I had that exact same SAAB! Same color and everything… My license plate read “MY SNAAB”. Too bad it was a piece of crap.
You could buy and park that Mercedes outside Mike's house to see what his neighbours think. That is what a real friend would do.
26:45 that hail damage isn't bad. I saw a civic yesterday that looked like a golf ball
I used to have a 1990 Toyota Supra. God I sure do miss that car.
Wow! I really wanted one back the. So cool. What color was yours?
It was gray in color. V6, 200 horsepower. Automatic transmission. I bought it off my dad so it was in MINT condition!@@timeforchange3786
There's a button under steering column that needs to be pressed when you turn the key to start the supra. But you want the 7m gte engine. Turbo.
That old Mercedes is so cool and so unique you need to buy that Randy especially after it started right up
That was a nice Mercedes and that Toyota.👍
The 7MGE was the naturally aspirated engine and the 7MGTE was the turbo. I had a 1990 non turbo Surpa and a 1992 turbo. I can tell you already that the headgasket is very likely blown.
That's insane. I always worry about it. My 88' was a garage queen and the last owner changed out the headgaket and valve stems. I think at 80-90K miles. She's at 117K now.

Pass on the SAAB. The Toyota still looks good interior needs some cleanup and may run.. If it runs, drives and A/C works worth buying.👍
I agree
I have one of those Mercedes diesels W123's (since 2005) , they are indistructable , just watch out for major rust inner wheelarches.
I love the line “ the interior is cosmetically challenged “
That Mercedes looks like it belongs in a Mad Max movie, that would be a crazy car to play with on the channel
I think you could fix up that c63 and make some good money on it. It's a beautiful car.

That Black Merc would really piss the neighborhood off. Buy it man.
I currently have a 2006 Saab 9-3 turbo and I absolutely love the car highly recommend it to anyone who is looking at 1
you can drive your vehicle into the lot? when i asked at my local copart they said it wasn't allowed. does it vary by location?
Maybe he has special dealer pass or something lol
He's basically advertising for Copart with these videos, so of course he's allowed to do things all of us would be denied. There should be a 'special advertising feature' in the title.
The supra would be a good content generator.
Very interesting Supra! Keep yo the good work! You’re fkung great randy!
Awesome job! Awesome cars. I even liked the 1940s car. I could see Mike liking the Mercedes behind the Toyota.
The Saabs had style but never got the love they deserved. ARC is a mid model so it has some of the nicer bits but is still poverty spec in some areas. Dope Supra my grandpa has one
😍I'm here all day for that 1987 Toyota supra
That Toyota and the SAAB are really nice cars as long as they run, drive and AC works
AC ain't working in that Supra until you convert it lol. I think it cost me $900 for that damn job. The air blower is super strong though.
Luv the Supra, Saab before the take over. I always like the Nissan 100nx with the 2 removable tops
I miss your SSR.. Its a awesome car. A real life hot wheel car come to life!!!!
The Toyota Supra is a good buy, avoid the Saab & the S-class Benz...lots of times needed to put them back to life.. Randy thanks for sharing this 🙏 🎉😂
Very nice cars , the supra is so cool
Randy that benz a straight up burnout machine
That year Supra really has me wanting the 85-87 Maxima!
Beautiful red interior Supra, silver paint, would clean up well for sure.
THAT MERCEDES IS EPIC ITS LIKE A DURAMAX SEDAN LOL
That diesel Merc with new injectors would still outrun any new Merc easily. Case in point the pos sitting next to it
I had a blue targa top with a manual.loved that car
I could see you driving that Mercedes diesel I think you should get it.
Definitely save the Supra. I saved mine from going to a junkyard and have zero regrets. Manual swaps are super easy too. The auto isn’t even that bad in them. They used that same automatic transmission until like 2007.

I think it’s hilarious but you have more debates and more arguments with yourself than I have ever seen anybody I think it makes the videos very interesting I guess technically you’re not arguing with yourself you’re talking to the camera, but you do that a lot better than I ever could
😂
Get the merc! Love the hood exit exhaust, cant get much worse probably
I am watching from Elmira NY I am surprised that you never found an old hearse at the Copart auto auction
This gen was known for head gasket issues. I believe they recommended back when to retorque the head bolts. My friend had one that did overheat and blow the head gasket. Otherwise, it's a nice car.
I just bought a 2007 Saab 9-3 same color for $400
Hey Randy, I just wanna let you know that I watched this morning’s video of the copper or ground. Come on Randy, Buy that Supra and bring it back to life.
Randy I think you brought worse then that Supra home. I wouldn't think that thing would go for much could it? I say if you can get it cheap take a chance on it. It'll make for interesting content for sure. This had to be the most interesting walk around I've watched yet. I love the weird stuff.
Lol #swampvette
Yea and remember he brought the burnt out hell air
The second dip stick is for the Transmission oil
7mge is non turbo and 7mgte is turbo .regardless they are going up in price because they are becoming rare to find and drifter kids love them to .
Randy that is like a really cool husper for dirt track
I think it would be cool to see that old W123 with the tractor flap on it drive around haha
Supra is a sure success, views included
This Supra is in company stock condition with 7M-GE Auto Transmission this will be a great buying if you bought it
the old bezn is so nice you should get it randy
Good morning Randy from @Auto Action Rebuild 🤝🙏
Wow Save The Supra
that supra was someones baby it has everything
The post apocalyptic car issue.
I think with all these fumes you are facing, time to get that COVID-19 N95 mask... Probably have a box stored somewhere in the house lol! Wouldn't want you catching something 😊
Watching from Africa, Malawi.
Yep like the song says.. G.D. The pusher man! Lol 😂 😂✌️
I’d roll that Mercedes daily I wouldn’t care about the hood stack or the weirdly mounted air filter I’d daily it because it’s cool
The foxtail on the Chevy, as per 1950s rules, meant that the owner was a drag racer.
That old Mercedes and the supra I would buy in a heartbeat
Nice. I had that supra in the early 00's that I drove in college. It was maroon with a stick. No targa top though. I regret selling it. I blew the engine once while doing donuts in a parking lot, replaced the engine. Then I lost 3rd gear and tried to replace the tranny myself and didn't do it right. that old merc is crazy
I would love to see the flapper Mercedes on the channel just for fun you and Mike can just have fun !
That Mercedes has weight reduction ready to race! Lol 😂 ROLLIN COAL👍
Hi Randy. I remember back in the 90's I Owned a Red Toyota Supra Turbo. It was a 1989. And it was proper fast. A beautiful car. Shame about the one your looking at lol. I actually like the Saab. Man that’s a high schooler dream car a Toyota Supra lol my dream car
That generation Saab 9-3 is a great looking car
Love that "Mad Max merser"
Supra’s are one of the best cars ever built by Toyota.
please tell me that you put a bid on that awesome vintage Mercedes
buy the W123! I LOVE IT! HAHAHA genius car! love the diesel sound also even the hot pipe out the hood with flap! frankenbenz LOVE IT!
BMW was a tragedy 😮 Randy 🤔. It would be interesting to find out what happened to that beautiful ride 👍🫡. SSR looked sweet, maybe you should buy it lol. Only kidding, I knew it was yours 😂✌️

OMG I LOVE THAT DIESEL MERCEDES🤩🤩🤩🤩
I love Saabs as well.. :) they so cool looking
The one thing that would keep me from wanting that Saab is the fact that it's front-wheel drive
What to do with the Mercedes? Chase video with your police car. Dress MWM up like Super Mario 😂
Flashbacks of swamp Corvette with the Toyota
GET THE SUPRA!!🔥
The Toyota Supra looks promising 😎😎👍👍
Love the supra and the clapped out benz
save the supra randy! Love that car!
Dope man
