Hm it should work, you may need to enter the character y (short for yes) at some point to accept terms, maybe it was waiting for that. Xcode is also quite large, so the install/setup could take some time. But you would expect to see text popping up on the window.
It says 'Bad CPU type in executiontable' now I've seen other comments on this but you never answered them.. do you maybe have an answer now? or do we just have to accept it
Yeah, it’s annoyingly but the Mineways developer doesn’t use Mac/Linux and is written in a non cross-platform framework, so we do what we gotta do! (Or my case, at least provide folks the options to choose from. Jmc2obj works without any intermediate on OSX for instance, since it’s just java)
@@TheJobCompany ooooh yeah that flew over my head. Good call out :) You're right, it's a "compatibility layer" and unlike something like the Java VM or other real emulators, doesn't simulate an operating system/hardware.

Not sure what you mean by that, but yes there may be other ways to install wine. For the sake of others, what’s an alternate approach that worked for you? Using homebrew is the way that it worked with me, and homebrew is a very standard, commonly used package manager on OSX (again more often for developers, which is why I probably gravitated towards it).
