- Bo Burnham show in Bay Shore, New York. March 6th, 2010.
I'm sorry, some of Bo's "words words words" rap got cut off, I don't know why. But the full Words rap is in a separate video that we have, so you can check that out!
I can't tell what's more impressive, the fact that he thinks of all this, or the fact that he can memorize it and perform it that well.
pls i can memorise it easily, performing and writing are the real challenges. he’s incredible.
i love how his whole Shakespear rant is worded in pentameter
this shakespeare thing is so brilliant, i'm betting 75% went over most of the audience's head.
if you actually listen, to him, you realize that he is really intelligent and obviously likes shakespeare enough to read the entire to be or not to be soliloquy from hamlet (3.1.61)
"Oh, and by the way, poetic talent is really easy to fake: when thy sentences doth no fucking sense make."
random thought: he has a great voice for shakespeare, if he didn't "hate" it so much he'd make an awesome Hamlet.
The Shakespeare rant specifically (that starts at 5:05) just makes me want to marry this kid. Who in high school English or Theatre class has not had the exact same thoughts? Bo Burnham, you are my hero.
Bo is entirely too smart for the girls his shows draw.
awwww, I think it's funny in itself
it doesn’t take a genius to enjoy his jokes. he’s incredibly smart with his jokes, but you’re not the only person on earth to understand them. source: i was “the girl” at his show.
@@thpbstiiiiina No, but that's not the reason they like him.
Well, he is like hamlet, all about words words words
The uneasy laughter everyone has after he quotes Hamlet is priceless.
Takin it out on Shakespeare. I'm impressed.
also, does anyone else get the "words words words" reference? That was from hamlet to when he was feigning madness and Polonius asks Hamlet "what do you read?" and Hamlet says "words words words" as hamlet is supposed to be flipping pages sarcastically.
Brilliant.
Haikus are easy
But sometimes they dont make sense
Refrigerator
With the quote from hamlet. He had the entire place entranced
ITS THE FUCKING LION KING!!
He saw a rainbow the day his grandmother died.
I loved his physics jokes!
i love the idea of you! lol
is what a person would say that didn't get the jokes
he could be the next tim minchin im not even joking this guy is gonna go far !
ITS THE FUCKIN' LION KING!!"
The fact that he makes more money than any other "normal" guy who recites Shakespeare.
His shakespeare voice makes me all hot inside >w
it's the FUCKING Lion King!!!!!!!!
I didn't know before watching this that he wore glasses.
on the note of the whole lion king thing (it rhymes) Avatar is a lot like pocahontas if you think about it
I've seen that on a t-shirt.
He missed a thing about shakepeares violence towards dogs. In one of his pplays someone threatens to drown himself and a response is "Do not drown thyself! Drown kittens and blind puppies!"
@DoueghBoy He was kidding he obviously likes Shakespeare...
turn captions on. enjoy!
Soo freaking funny
Love him, he's got colloquial talent, but he made an error with the Shakespeare rant. Shakespeare couldn't copy a Disney movie made almost four centuries after his death. :S
That's the joke....
Might as well call that joke an airplane...
Cause it went right over your head
You can't be that stupid xD?
Wow
Wow, did these people actually believe you?
@TezukaTsunimitsu Yup
I still don't get it.
sound similiar ITS THE FUCKING LION KING!!!!!!!!!!!
@TranswarpXL thx
@ABREEVS There's a 15 minute limit now, if you want to you can fix it and post these videos with better breaks in between :P
What is it about a man reciting Shakespeare in a deep voice that is so.. arousing?
He says aunt like I do. I feel less alone.
You aren't alone
no More like you aunt alone
@bleachfan778 or the last samurai or any other movie about a warrior coming to new land and falling in love and changing sides
I was made to memorize the hamlet soliloquy by my english teacher....
oh shakespeare 7:02
I don't get the part about the rainbow at 1:25
Can someone explain it to me?
@homieGzombii The rainbow is the generally accepted sign for a gay person.
I don't think anyone in the audience actually understood the Asian friend haiku...
gosh... i keep repeating the "to be or not to be" part. pfft like what...
@ABREEVS Lol awesome. I've seen some videos on here that are much longer, like an hour or more. Maybe find out how to do that and post the whole thing instead :P.
0:03
@Dantheman1600 half of that bit was shakespeare lol
@bleachfan778 its like a gay pocahontas james cameron crosed out words and made it 3D
@asdghhhas So was the Macbeth reference/pun
what did he say at 5:31
haikus? what happened to 5/7/5? how do they work again?
Brian Belcher it technically is a 5-7-5 sequence, but he just uses syllables from other words.
These Haikus are the shit.
@w0witsJAMIE i have it memorized :X
@MySuicideRomance I think he just didnt want them to call an asian person xD
Well, James Cameron stole "Avatar" from Disney's "Pocahontas."
(compare the two! They have the same exact fucking story line!)
@DoueghBoy No chizz thats wat makes it funny
Rainbows are used to represent homosexuality, so seeing one on the day she died, he implied she was a lesbian. Though it's funnier if you don't have to explain it, haha :)
The rainbow symbolizes homosexuality.
One person is blind and deaf and should get off of youtube.
Not Funny at all. Daniel Tosh is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy better.
