  • Have you tried this chord progression? If not, it will really hit you in the feels. I got this idea from an Explosions In The Sky song.

    Hey everyone, small error in the video at 0:02. The progression is 6-1-4-5! Not 6-1-5-4.

    if you like explosions in the sky i highly recommend checking out the canadian post rock band Do Make Say Think. the album You, You're a History in Rust is my favorite of theirs.

    Dude, I literally had my first listen of this song last night because I’ve been meaning to get more into the “bigger” post rock bands and now I’m watching this video. What kinda timing is that lmao, but yeah that progression is simple but still works really well in post rock

      I was wondering why the progression sounded so familiar, thanks for helping me place it. I Flatout 2 was my favourite game as a child and it included a bunch of post rock songs including reinventing your Exit so this video just stirred up a lot of childhood memories.

    awesome dude, this was one of the first few bands i explored when i first started listening to post rock! I think you’d really enjoy Tides from Nebula, they’re from Poland and do a great job of combining post rock with progressive rock

    The only problem is that Am sounds like a root note much more than C. It makes the whole progression I-iiVb-VIb-VIIb so now it's minor instead of being major

      No it's post rock, also it could be depending on the context, he's showing us a chord progression. how you gonna gatekeep a vague ass genre like "rock"? what rock meant to you when you learned what it was was probably also not accepted by the ones who learned it before you. Unless you're talking about shit from the fuckin 50s

    • @BrowsSmellLikeShit
      @BrowsSmellLikeShit 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Wich case I've got some news for you buddy there's been a lot of different kinds of "rock" since the 50s
