Hello Clive. Such an informative, interesting and engaging instalment to this interesting project. That was one hunk of steel to work with. Getting that hole pattern right was no mean feat. Well done. 👏👏👍😀

Thank you, Andrew. Plenty of swarf will be generated in part 3!

It's nice to see you take your time to have it all spot on.
Something I skip to do sometimes :(

Ah yes, Michel, but you get more done! Thanks, nevertheless.

    Excellent video as always!
I don't produce engineering videos, but I have a Boxford lathe, Alba Shaper and Chinese mill in my workshop. Always enjoy watching your work.

Thanks for your feedback. I used a Boxford only once for a job too large for my Myford. I enjoyed using it. I think the Alba was the forerunner of the Elliot shaper I have.

@@Workshopfriend Yes Alba is very similar to Elliot 10M, and my serial number starts with 'BEM' which I have always assumed is 'B Elliot Machinery'.
My Boxford is a model B from 1949, I have not owned it quite that long, just a mere 25 years!

Another excellent film Clive, I enjoyed watching very much. I also turn down my radio whilst I am filming in my workshop! Radio 4 is my usual workshop companion.

Thanks, Carl. Yes, I enjoy the radio and just occasionally what is on at the time dictates what gets filmed.

Thanks John! A cold damp day here so the workshop is not so appealing. Also damp has shown up an electrical fault on the lathe motor.
