Regardless of them using heat pressed numbers, that's no excuse to mess up the fonts. Teams with numbers that have outlines/trim need to be bold enough to make out from a reasonable distance. Something that makes counterfeits look obvious is when the font and trim are not the right boldness. Now the real jerseys have the wrong boldness that you can't make out the colors as nicely. That's what makes it look cheap.
The next thing Fanatics will do is buy New Era and then MLB will replace the current fitted hats with flex-fit breathable hats and Fanatics will charge $10 more than the current New Era hats for the new On Field Vapor Lock Flex Hat. The logo will be screen printed unlike the nice logo we have now on the hats.

Where is the Velcro closure in the front where the team name goes across the buttons? There used to be two top buttons, Velcro and the the remaining four buttons. This year we can see the opening between the letters in the team name due to the missing Velcro. They must be saving the Velcro for those corporate logos that will go on the sleeve of the switch hitters to face the camera. Lame, Lame and more Lame.
Baseball is on an obvious downtrend in the last 20 years plus, this would have been a joke in 2004. It's sad what has happened to this sport in 2024, where will it be in 2034?
I hope it is still alive and well as a sport. Same with the NBA and NCAA basketball/football and the fiasco that's going on there; like how they expanded the playoffs in football. And how all of these conferences are merging and creating super-conferences that leave little guys like the American conference or something ''sorry outta luck.'' And with horse racing too, it's starting to die off because people don't trust the trainers/owners to take care of the horses needs and health and they don't trust the races to be wagered fairly by the tracks because they don't trust the odds making. Easy solution: don't buy. It's amazing how this never occurs to many people, especially when it's actually easier (and of course cheaper) to not buy than to buy. If you're willing to settle for junk,. I guess that's what you deserve.
When I was a teenager, the "authentic on-field" MLB jerseys (with name/number) ranged from $180 - $220 depending on which team. Today they're $329 - $435.
You don’t get it. It’s about MONEY!!! They cost less to make and charge the same amount. It’s not a difficult concept. Also, I loved the simplicity of the Great Britain unis. Reminds me of a simpler time.
