I have never played these games before 🤦. Until now I got this HD collection the other day for my PS3 I have to say I am enjoying it 😌. I still have a PS5 but got myself a PS3 a couple of weeks ago I been loving my old school games 🎮😊

Back to the point though yes I’ve heard many of these(mostly on Twitter surprise surprise that website spews out terrible opinions) here’s some of them I’ve heard: *it’s on the ps3(technically modern consoles through backwards compatibility) *hating on guy cihi, i don’t really give a shit if you don’t like him but people point at him as problematic and say his performance is terrible and his involvement in the game hurts it, as if wanting the best for the people who worked on the game and community is bad in some way. *better voice acting, this one is insane to me because the originals is so perfect for the tone and story and the hd collection voice acting is so terrible and non fitting, but for this one i have an actual reference in one of her videos about the sh2 remake a youtuber called “glitchwitch dot jpg” not only says that she prefers the hd collection but she also prefers it because she has to turn on the hd voice acting. Pretty fucking baffling all things considered and I actually have almost the same exact tattoo as her shamefully enough. These people have and always will exist disappointingly enough. The conversation will only shift from the hd collection to the remake because really deep down all they want to do is say “I like silent hill 2 is like da best game eva!” But they refuse to play it on the original hardware it was intended to be played on(and that’s not me disparaging remasters or remakes but as it’s pretty clear there hasn’t been a worthy successor yet), or with the enhanced edition mod. Like I get it it’s hard to come by but yknow what’s also hard to come by? Actual fans of this game. They like the idea of being a fan of silent hill 2 so much that it’s the only silent hill they claim to have played. These people will quite literally 100% 180 when the remake comes out cause they no longer will have to defend their “only”(easiest) way of playing sh2, they will hop onto defending the remake(how do I know this? They already are defending it despite it not even being out yet) because that’s their new silent hill 2. The hd collection will be quite literally dropped off the face of the earth in terms of cultural relevance because even when it was released it was the worst way to play it, they just never wanted to admit that the best way to play a game was unfortunately the original because it’s apparently too hard to buy a ps2 and play the game.

Even patched it still has amazing comics sans, a brand new cinematic 20/15 fps, psychological glitches, scary midi music and fill bucket textures. 300 dollars is worth it for Troy.
I’m replaying silent hill 2 on this right now and personally having a blast 🤷🏻♂️. And I played the original SH2 and SH3 games entirely through in the past. I am still enjoying this a ton and don’t get the hate at all. 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah, this video was satire but I actually do like the new voice acting more than the old, there's even a mod for the PC version where you can put the new voice acting in and I happily downloaded it. I've seen comments saying that the old voice actors sound more like real people whereas the new voice actors are putting on a Hollywood spin which I think is the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard anyone say. Don't get me wrong, the new voice acting isn't what I would call fantastic by any means and there are actually a few moments where the old voices stand out more than the new but make no mistake, the new acting is infinitely better than whatever the hell we got for the original voices.

While you're in luck because Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 are on myabandonware.com and contrary to what I said in this obvious April Fool's joke video, the enhanced Edition mod is very good and very easy to install. I don't know about the other two games though, never played them

Even sh4 is a really good game(just miserable to play) but the series drastically falls off after Konami booted the talent of the series, and there’s every once in a while something that’s actually kinda good like shattered memories but nothing besides that after sh4 is really worth checking out. Just act like origins homecoming and downpour don’t exist your life will be much better.
@@ContraWolf I will say this though the story might be the type that grows on you as time passes. Hopefully you get the Leave ending as that is one of the most beautiful endings to a videogame I've ever experienced.
It’s not even that bad on PS3 never experienced the glitches but Xbox one I did experience sound glitches and being stuck at the inventory screen in SH3. So either emulate it or play it on PS2, Xbox, or PS3 HD collection
Ps3 is the goat i have the super slim and i put an 500gb ssd and repasted it so it works for many years to come because i still buy and play games on my ps3 they are also dirt cheap
I think the hd collection is kinda like the rereleases of star wars that George Lucas had to enhance, too bad they didn't have time to add the imperial walkers to the town
If George Lucas had spearheaded the HD collection of Silent hill, that would have made it Beyond perfect. The special editions of Star Wars are the greatest thing ever made by mankind. The Originals got nothing on them and anyone who says otherwise is a fucking Bongo bear
