- The movie story deals with Professor Vidyadhar who teaches Hindi in a college and resides in a flat with his wife, Shobha, and school-going son, Pappu. He leads a fairly routine and mundane life, until a new resident in the flat upstairs moves in an attractive young actress by the name of Menaka Khanna, the daughter of a wealthy man, Dinanath. Shobha does not approve of her at all and tells her so in quite a candid manner. An enraged Menaka swears she will make Shobha regret her criticism. So she decides to seduce Vidyadhar and does succeed to a considerable extent, and even plays his bride in a commercial for "Vicks Vaporub". When Shobha finds out, she decides to put an end to this affair, and a terrified Vidyadhar consumes a portion that makes him invisible, thus temporarily saving him from his wife's wrath. This does leave his free to pursue Menaka, only to find out that Menaka has two other much younger suitors, namely Ranjit Das and Vinod, and both are not likely to give Menaka that easy at least not without giving the Professor a run for his money.

Quite sad in 1:35:03 which was Sanjeev Kumar's last scene in a movie while alive. Then such an irony in 1:35:14 when the dialogue was "apni qabar se". A body double of Sanjeev Kumar in 1:38:23. I am an Amitabh Bachchan fan but no denying, Sanjeev Kumar was a great actor. Maybe he would've not done movies as late as Amitabh Bachchan, but he did have some masterclass.

The film started production in the 1980s, but was left incomplete with its leading actor Sanjeev Kumar's death in November 1985. At the time of his death, the film was only 75% complete and the script was subsequently changed to make him invisible in the remaining portions of the film and complete it for release in 1993. Sudesh Bhosle did the dubbing for Sanjeev Kumar in the film.

*Review:*- Sci-fi Comedy. The wonderful lead actor Sanjeev Kumar passed away during the production of this film. In order to complete the film, the writers exhibited courage and daring to change in the story line. But it was a vain attempt, as the altered script turned out to be pretty absurd and unconvincing. The highlight of the film is a funny sequence in a taxi cab with Yunus Pervez as the driver.

I liked the movie. The end is beautiful and sad too. Element of entertainment is well applied. Of course all the actors and actresses are at their best.. Almost all of them are veterans. But watching so many in one movie causes a little distraction. And, their make up .. Most of them looked either aged or exhausted. ABs commentary is enhancing the effect. A good movie (forget the box office collection).Thanks to the producer, director and all the team members.
And, sometimes the smoker puffs away at on the face of co star. Oh why? But, I liked the movie for the veteran Sanjeev Kumar. Do read my comment if you deem fit.
