As a little kid I booted this up not knowing what it was on my Dad’s PC. Was too young to understand anything but remembered starting on that dock, seeing some guy and then accidentally attacking a robot, dying and then crying. Clicked this video on a whim and seeing that dock and robot felt like it activated a long forgotten part of my mind. Finally know what the game from that memory was! Now I gotta get around to playing it sometime now I’m grown. Thanks!
When I was 7, my dad was killed by an NSF trooper, then the Dell laptop crashed. Years later I inherited his Steam Account and tried it out at 12. It was an unpleasant experience. At 13, I gave it another go. Hell of an adventure. One of the best games I have on PC at 20 today. I plan to play it in 4 months.
Just wanted to say Ermac, I’ve probably watched this entire long play like 5 times, all 9 hours, over & over again. Playing this on my living room TV for inspiration while I edit my music videos, this is always playing in the background; purely just watching this out of the pure amazement I feel for this game, And overall comforting feeling your playthrough gives me, probably the best one out there to be honest, quality & overall way you played it. just know, I’m probably 900 views out of the 30,000 views haha & I keep coming back to this video simply because it’s probably my favorite TH-cam video of all time; and I’m not exaggerating… 3:57:18 i always get goosebumps when this joint comes on…:) thank you truly for this goldmine.. Thank you my friend! I appreciate what you wrote, it's a great thing to read during my not-so-good days, thank you for this! :) And apparently you might not be the only one who thinks so of Deus Ex, with its music it might be... somewhat therapeutical and soothing, and I'd agree, that's why I fell in love with it. :D Good luck in your music endevours, friend!
@@ErmacgerdLongplays yes of course! agreed my friend & thank you dearly! my best wishes towards your endeavors of playthroughs as well my friend, cheers…🍇🌑
This game was way ahead of it's time man. I loved it I had it on PC when I was a kid. It was like discovering a whole new world when I got it. This, elder scrolls morrowind and mafia probably my favourite pc games of all time. 👍🏻
I feel very nostalgic watching this. Resolution, quality and recording a lot better than the other walkthrough. Really enjoyed this. Also I think you are the only one other than me that played the white JC Denton :D Thanks!
This game is a Masterpiece for me. Ahead of it's time, amazing dialogue, great combat mechanic, open-world, better NPCs than in Cyberpunk 2077, banger soundtrack and many more awesome things about it. That's why I love this game (along the rest of the franchise) so much.
I remember playing the demo back then. It had first two levels and it immediately pulled me in. Can't even say how many times I´ve finished the full game. Truly one of the greatest
One of the most addictive and immersive games I have ever played. I was right after playing Soldier of Fortune so my approach was completely wrong and I got killed after 5 minutes despite using the GEP gun 😅 but I gave it another go and oh man, it sucked me in. Always played at night and with headphones to be fully immersed. The music still brings me to these various locations in the world. Played it multiple times using different dialogues and skill sets. No guide so there was always something new to discover. Thank you for bringing back beautiful memories. I wish they remade the original plot. I must say that I loved continuation too aide from the 2nd part where levels were claustrophobic.
im here from the full walkthru w side quests. i just jumped back in from the fight w Guntherbc it got all glitchy after that part. i am pleasantly surprised by the LIGHT omg 😂😂 i can seeeee
I once cosplayed J.C., some years back. Pretty wickedly, too, I might add. 💪😎✌️ It's on this channel. "A bomb's a bad choice for close-ranged combat." --J.C. Smartarse
Actually, he has to start the dialogue line, where he tells you Smuggler will take him to Hong Kong. Without it, he will still die. :)) I've done both ways in this video, but I've cut out the first try, then went back to do it differently when I realized Paul died somehow. :D
Doesn't need one, really. With a few engine mods (pardon the pun) and the HD graphics plus the version with altered content, it's even MORE of a perfect game! 💪😎✌️
I always think about how different places are technically connected level-wise. For example, the top of the statue with the NSF leader is connected all the way to the secret chamber you wake up in the MJ12 facility. The dock near the beginning is connected to the back of Lebedev's jet. Paul's apartment is connected to the room where you save Ford Shick, connected to the NSF generator basement
Well, you can discover it now though, and I did like 4-5 years ago, by the age of over 20! I tried it when I was like 10, but the game was so dark I couldnt see shite on my PC back then.
Oh, even if I walk him right to the front door, activate the dialog, and then go out the window? Thats kind of weird, but didnt I rescue him in this video anyway? Or was it not in this one? :D I might be mixing some stuff.
Shieeeeet, sorry, I've thought it's a Morrowind video :D I used the DirectX11 plugin for Unreal Engine 1. It can easily run in widescreen, adds reflections, tesselations, all that stuff.
Well, it is Unreal Engine 1, so the similarities have to be here somehow. But yeah, it's running here on a custom renderer, which is not at all how the game looked like back in 2000. Back then, it looked like shite, and a very dark shite. So you actually couldn't see that shite. So that was actually a plus I think. xD
You can find a free crossbow in two minutes. Sniper in five minutes. But you can get a rocket launcher at the half of the game. I always choose rocket launcher.

LOL. I was waiting for that moment when you realized you put the two upgrades on the environmental resistance, instead of the healing.
Paul would be alive if you exit via the entrance of Hell’s Kitchen and you’ll meet him in Hong Kong with Tracer Tong
I didnt know you could go that far (all the way to Battery Park) once you turned on Unatco!

To keep Paul alive, you have to go through the hotel's front entrance to escape to the subway, not the window.
Actually, he has to start the dialogue line, where he tells you Smuggler will take him to Hong Kong. Without it, he will still die. :)) I've done both ways in this video, but I've cut out the first try, then went back to do it differently when I realized Paul died somehow. :D

This game would never be approved today. Too many redpills

I love this game so much.
Albino JC is canon, but red fonts UI is a crime against humanity, Jesus Christ Denton
he is white, not some niqqa 'special' agent from slums, lmao. Red fonts suits well in some mods, don't be so harsh, lul.

so you're telling me this storyline is all in one night😮😮
I am pretty sure it happens during several days, just later on the game doesn't show the date or the hour, so you lose track of time. I think. :D
New York, Los Angeles, somewhere in Nevada (Area 51) and Hong Kong.

Why did you decrease the music volume?
I don't remember now actually. Maybe I wanted the voices and ambient to be more easily heard??? Or I did that by mistake or something. Don't know. :D
