- BJP's nominated MP in Rajya Sabha, Subramanian Swamy has written to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi seeking the ouster of RBI Governor, Raghuram Rajan. Subarmanian Swamy upping his ante against RBI governor claims that Raghuram Rajan was deliberately trying to wreck the Indian economy. The BJP MP has contended that the RBI governor is mentally not fully an Indian, since he continues to renew the Green Card issued to him by the US government. He also adds that Raghuram Rajan takes disastrous decisions to curb inflation by raising interest rates. He has alleged that Rajan's decisions have only squeezed small and medium business and increased unemployment in the country.

Actually IMF leaders oblige Raghuram's decision, he is suppose to be the chief of BRIC bank but as his service is required to stabilize situation in India, Indian government asked him to play the role of RBI governor. He is the first Indian and first non IAS to be the RBI governor. He predicted the economic slowdown as well as high inflation in INDIA and published book on the same. That time Parliament members saw RaghuRam Rajan as a joker. When the real situation pops up people in the parliament took it seriously. Especially P. Chidambaram realized Raghu as priced asset and asked him to take a Charge as RBI governor. He is a well talented guy. Please dont go by Swamy all the times.

First, he is an Indian ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raghuram_Rajan. Hope we know that many Indians hold Green card in US. So by having the citizenship in US we cannot completely say that he is not an Indian. Hope we are aware that every Indian travel to US by holding H1B Visa. So do we look wired in US? And do you want to say that US shoulnt employ Indians there? I dont think this point make any sense.
Second, he is trying to fix things from the very basic and making the monitory policy so strong in India. So please dont say that he is digging grave for us, instead he is making all policy very strong. And he is nothing to do with respect to Black money, its Arun Jaitely and Supreme Court who is taking care of all the black money problems. So bringing Raghu and RBI in the black money context is completely wrong. Then he is not in the control of anyone in IMF or he is working on their command. Its again a false statement. Do you think if that was the case, will Swamy leave him to be in this post such long duration? The best thing UPA government did in the last rule was bringing him to INDIA and giving him the RBI governor role. So I dont think any of your satement make any sense to me. I am happy if you prove me wrong with the facts.

Can you see that Swamy couln't make any valid points other than non-Indian. So that is the main reason behind rupee value depreciation. I think the facts are clear my friend. I think you are taking wrong facts to argue. Can you think for a sec, why Dr.Swamy didnt raised the concern till now and all of a sudden that too while extending the term of Raghu? @@prashantkumar-pl8vi yes he condemned on demonetization but he said GST good in the long run. And there should be a proper timing in implementing the GST. As the demonetization is announced and it had hit economy hard, soon after 7 months-probably GST is announced.

@@gani444 what he did was increase interest to control inflation..so the border line small and medium industries which have a low marginal output started shutting down bcz of high interest..which created unemployment..Rajan may be a good scholar but economics means macro economics in which one sector has an effect on other..He was not an economist he just come from business school
