When he says “I TASTE YOU MUCH BETTER OFF TEETH,” he’s putting the visual imagery of him rubbing the coke around his gums and teeth. When the breakdown occurs during the bridge, Chino does this spazzed out vocal effects, simulating the spasms that happen when the body is near overdosing. This entire album is based off of the band’s phase of excessive abuse of cocaine... hence the name, “WHITE PONY.”
I've read this a few times about RX Queen as well, that it's about heroin use. I know Chino has said it's about his girlfriend/wife whoever, but the lyrics, "You're my girl and that's alright. If you sting me, I won't mind" definitely give off a heroin abuse vibe.
Elite is screams all the way though whereas this has a big build up in the bridge. For me Korea is one of my favourite of their songs it’s Lotion part 2. I love the dissonant chords and atmospheric sample at the start
There's a live version of this song and the intro of Pink Maggit from Ozzfest 1999. Not the final drafts but it's all pretty close and chinos vocals still have that Around The Fur vibe

In 2000 I had a jeep Cherokee with a really nice system and I lived in Vermont and I would drive deep into the forest and roll down my windows and open every door and lay on the hood and blast this song!!! It brings back some of the happiest memories of my entire life. Something about this song in the middle of nature. It was a hell of a time to be young and alive!! Now everytime I hear it I get goose bumps!!! I love Deftones and I jave been lucky enough to see them 4 times and once I got backstage even!!
