Not sure if you'd be interested or not but I designed a front bash bar with a tow hook and intercooler for the rx7 to be 3d printed and replace the original bumper. The files are on cults3d. It definitely gives it that drift missile look. I have more plans to make other cosmetic stuff for the rx7. I'm not sure if the bash bar would work on any other ldrc body.
if your patient you can check out aliexpress. They are cheaper on that website and it took about 2 weeks to receive the product. It's worth the savings imo.

Good stuff! I just got one and it seems undrivable with the stock gyro even on the lowest gain so I just ordered the external gyro. It's my first rwd drift rig so maybe Im just not good atm🤷♂️😅
if its your first time then definitely you are part the reason but rest assured that you can get these tuned and you will be driftingin no time. You definitely need the external gyro to get this drifting proper. So dont worry you will notice how much better it is after you install that gyro.
Awesome upgrades! I'm really interested in how does the metal diff works. By the way, if you need stronger servo, you could use emax 12g in it like mine does. It's an overkill though using 12g 😂
I will have a video on the metal gears once the rest show up. The diff is a ball diff and I'm just going to tighten it so its locked. Probably was meant more for guys that want to run these with rubber tires. That way they can adjust the differential.
all these do apply to the 1801. Only difference to the 1801 is the narrow width and it uses different a arms and rear axle is a cvd and shorter than the other models. Other than that they are all the same chassis.

This is a question about the past OK. I have the RES-V3 and I want to double check the mounting or the servos. When pushing them on are the silver pins facing down? 😸😸🐱😹
I'm not 100% sure what your referencing. Are you trying to figure out how to plug the servo to the board. They weirdly can be plugged in two ways. Should be plugged in parallel to the board.
@@RunThatRC yeah there's 3 inlets on the board stearing, gear change and top is for the winch. When I'm plugging them in do the little silver pins on the connectors face up or down. I'm worried about frying the board. Hope this helps. If the polarity is wrong for these will it fry the board?
@edwardlove4300 They face down, and nothing should happen if plugged in the opposite way. It's always safe not to plug things in wrong, that's for sure.
Thanks so much. I did fry a few boards in the past. I hate when it happens. It's always the battery plugged in the wrong way. Not sure if polarity is a big deal with attachments like winch or servos??? Thanks again.
If you have this model I recommend adding a better gyro and that's really it. These are fun without much mods needed. I recommend the DasMikro V5 gyro you can use it with your stock electronics.
Great channel, want to get the rbrc gyro coz the dasmikro costs literally ten times as much to get it shipped to me, with the rbrc gyro do u have an install video? And should I buy anymore connectors etc? Thanks!
appreciate it! The RBRC gyro installs the same way but doesn't need any additional adapters. My experience is good with those gyros. Just make sure to make very slight micro adjustments on the gyro gain then test (with body on because it changes the drift characteristics) .
@@RunThatRC thanks iv got it installed but it seems my front wheels don't have enough traction,iv set the front toe out and camber and when in full steer my front lead wheel makes full contact with the surface,any ideas sir?

Search ldrc on aliexpress and you will find all these parts for these little guys. the 1801 has shorter a arms, shorter cvd driveshafts on the same chassis as the 1802(rx7), 1803(nsx), 1899(GTR). The 1802, 03, 1899 and newest 1804(miata) are on the same chassis and same longer a arms with longer dog bone driveshafts.
To strip a servo on one of these cars compared to a normal off road buggy is highly ulikely unless the servo is horrible quality imo..i have the heavy diecast car and plastic servo has plenty of torque .

I've personally gotten huge improvements without an external gyro just by damping vibration on the PCB with a bit of foam tape

they are but not for drifting. The Dasmikro v5 gyro seems to perform really well in my 10th scale drifters.
