To me the ones that won the night were Australia and Slovenia, I’m so happy they both made it. I don’t know how to feel about Portugal, may favourite studio cut of the semi but I was let down on stage. Managed to call 8 of the ten though! (Poland + Hungary for Belarus + San Marino)

I’m very alright with San Marino qualifying to be honest. You need a variety of serious extremely talented acts and the fun joke acts. On the whole I’m very happy with who got through.

I wanted Portugal, Hungary and Poland instead of Estonia, Belarus and SAN Marino. The other 7 were expected. I thought SAN Marino and Estonia were both often out of tune. Belarus was too much of everything but I thought it might go through

Hungary never failed to qualify and it was a good song but it needed something more. Belarus and San Marino were surprised qualifiers in this semi-final. Iceland and Slovenia were no surprised qualifiers in my view. Glad they are through to the final.

Great! Greece, Cyprus and Iceland are my favorites from the beginning. I believed that Belarus would be in the finals since the pre-party, Australia proved to be a clear finalist since the first rehearsal. Serbia (my country), I'm happy that she made it. She is such a good soul and a talented artist. Slovenia - magic on the scene. San Marino - why not? A little party never killed nobody. The only country I miss in the final is Poland. But I wish good luck to all finalists 💕

To me there were 3 surprises, Belarus, Estonia and San Marino. Belarus was a pleasent surprise for me, but I would trade the other two with Portugal (my country which I found to be robbed) and Poland in a heartbeat

I don’t understand why people complain about San Marino. IT WAS FANTASTIC❤️❤️❤️ Serhat got the biggest ovation from the centre press and at the press conference. It s true that maybe the turkish diaspora helped him, but the song is catchy, he s got the stage presence and he can sing. I am disapointed that Portugal didn’t get trough (i am sure that he got a lot of votes and the jury pulled him down, like Estonia 2017) and i am feeling sorry for Hungary, but there was only 10 spots and this semifinal was weak and open to anybody to qualify. You don't have ownership of what constitutes elevated art and performance, that's just your opinion! It's my opinion that Serbia's song is much better than Portugal's. And it isn't dated at all. What do you base your information on to say it's dated? Czech Republic's 'Friend of a Friend' is what I would say is dated as it's reminiscent of a lot of pop songs you heard back in the 1980's (although don't get me wrong, I still like it). Whereas Serbia's has an edgy, contemporary, pop-rock vibe which sounds pretty current to me, especially with those guitar strums, but in any case classic songs are timeless! And you couldn't have heard anything like it before because it's nothing like any other Balkan Ballad that's been on Eurovision before, so I've no idea what you are hearing! The melody may have elements of a Balkan influence, but overall it's more of a power pop-rock genre. And just because it doesn't connect with you, it doesn't mean it isn't a great song!
Listen yall, don't get cranky. I agree that some of the most powerful and beautiful songs (especially Portugal and Hungary imo) didn't qualify but let's not now hate on the countries that we think didn't deserve to qualify. It's ESC, it ain't that deep. Let's just enjoy the show. And I'm really happy that Iceland, Slovenia, Australia (not a surprise) and Czech Republic are in the final.

Belarus and San Marino were surprised qualifiers in this semi-final. Iceland and Slovenia were no surprised qualifiers in my view. Glad they are through to the final.

When I heard Slovenia as last I WAS FUCKING SCREAMING AND CRYING ‘CAUSE OF HAPPINESS EVEN THOUGH I’M FROM THE NETHERLANDS I’M A FUCKIGN FAN OF SLOVENIA. Still sad Poland and Hungary didn’t qualify should have been instead of Estonia and San Marino but I’m kinda happy for San Marino ‘cause it’s their 2nd time qualifying!
I was sad from Hungary - a good piece, with authenticity. Not perhaps as strong a song as his previous Eurovision number.

Great! Greece, Cyprus and Iceland are my favorites from the beginning. I believed that Belarus would be in the finals since the pre-party, Australia proved to be a clear finalist since the first rehearsal. Serbia (my country), I'm happy that she made it. She is such a good soul and a talented artist. Slovenia - magic on the scene. San Marino - why not? A little party never killed nobody. The only country I miss in the final is Poland. But I wish good luck to all finalists 💕

To me there were 3 surprises, Belarus, Estonia and San Marino. Belarus was a pleasent surprise for me, but I would trade the other two with Portugal (my country which I found to be robbed) and Poland in a heartbeat

I don’t understand why people complain about San Marino. IT WAS FANTASTIC❤️❤️❤️ Serhat got the biggest ovation from the centre press and at the press conference. It s true that maybe the turkish diaspora helped him, but the song is catchy, he s got the stage presence and he can sing.
I am disapointed that Portugal didn’t get trough (i am sure that he got a lot of votes and the jury pulled him down, like Estonia 2017) and i am feeling sorry for Hungary, but there was only 10 spots and this semifinal was weak and open to anybody to qualify.
I am freaking out right now what’s going to happen on Thursday night. Fingers cross , especially, for Romania, Albania and North Macedonia. I want them so badly in the final❤️

@@mariagomes6089 Serbia was Nice, she has a strong and beautiful Voice, the stage was good however, for me, it is a little dated...I have heard so many entries like Serbia. But I don't mind at all being in the Final, I said Serbia but I could have said Estonia and Belarus. The thing is compared to all these four entries ( including San Marino), the Portuguese entry deserved better. I am not saying just because of the quality of art and the quality of song, it is because Eurovision should move forward to also embrace something else, more artistic and original, besides the same formula over and over again
Gabasx You are totally unjustified in stating that Serbia didn't deserve to get through above Portugal. You don't have ownership of what constitutes elevated art and performance, that's just your opinion! It's my opinion that Serbia's song is much better than Portugal's.
And it isn't dated at all. What do you base your information on to say it's dated? Czech Republic's 'Friend of a Friend' is what I would say is dated as it's reminiscent of a lot of pop songs you heard back in the 1980's (although don't get me wrong, I still like it).
Whereas Serbia's has an edgy, contemporary, pop-rock vibe which sounds pretty current to me, especially with those guitar strums, but in any case classic songs are timeless!
And you couldn't have heard anything like it before because it's nothing like any other Balkan Ballad that's been on Eurovision before, so I've no idea what you are hearing! The melody may have elements of a Balkan influence, but overall it's more of a power pop-rock genre. And just because it doesn't connect with you, it doesn't mean it isn't a great song!

I agree that some of the most powerful and beautiful songs (especially Portugal and Hungary imo) didn't qualify but let's not now hate on the countries that we think didn't deserve to qualify. It's ESC, it ain't that deep. Let's just enjoy the show. And I'm really happy that Iceland, Slovenia, Australia (not a surprise) and Czech Republic are in the final.
