TURO UPDATE: Starting Over

Hey everyone. Just made a video about what’s going on with TURO.
Basically, I’m starting over. Got rid of most of my vehicles, except for one.

I am thinking of picking up a smart car for door dash. Can also do local deliveries for my coffee business. I’m already incorporated so I figure I can make my business some extra money in my free time. Thinking this will give me an opportunity to list it on Turo.
How are things working out for you with Turo? I’m so so sick of my tech job. Sick of computers.

Oh! What would be the best insurance to get for a Smart car if I’m using it ONLY for business and purchasing under the LLC? I plan to deduct the car payments and all other expenses. It will be financed.

So here’s the thing, you’ll have to do a bit of research on that one because the majority of auto insurance doesn’t allow deliveries. Mine I bought out right so only have liability (personal)insurance.
If you end up getting the car under an LLC, you’ll be forced to get a commercial insurance. It would be pricey. I inquired with ABI and it’ll cost between $100-$120 per car.

I did have a credit which is why I was able to get the other cars. I’m down to 4 cars. Financing 3 and 1 paid in full. Will be funneling most of my income to pay down debt and will get an apartment eventually when my dad retires so he can live with me.
