      I am thinking about getting 125 gallon and use this one for a grow out

      @@GeorgeAAquatics What? Someone in the aquarium hobby that wants a bigger tank? Lol As soon as I got my 75, I hadn't even put water in it, and I saw a 125 I want. There's a 110 corner tank on craigslist. He's asking $700, I bet he's take $500. But, that's not the plan for right now. The plan is four 40 gallon breeders, and start plants & fish. Dwarf gouramis, angels, rainbows, and cardinal or neon tetras. Idk. Maybe just some mollies to start.

    Nice tank. Recently set up a 75 gal with 8 rainbows and 2 Angelfish. How many rainbow fish do you have? I'm thinking I can add a few more. My tank has been set up about 2 months.

    • @GeorgeAAquatics
      @GeorgeAAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About 50 of them but its all about filtration. I bred some of them. I think you can add more but it depends on how balanced your tanks is,so since your tank is new i will say wait for couple of months before doing that.

    • @TheWalk23
      @TheWalk23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GeorgeAAquatics thanks . I kept Nitrates below 20 by weekly water changes. I'll wait for a couple of months then.

      @@TheWalk23 Yeah go slow. It will also give you time to find cool new fish and also get to know the ones you have and how your tank reacts to new additions

      @@TheWalk23 how’s it goin so far 6 month update
      Boutta swap from 55 to 75
      Have 20 rainbows in 55 with 40 true gallons of swim space
      Like he said all about filtration and balance

    • @TheWalk23
      @TheWalk23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My nitrates are less than 40 by doing changes every three weeks. I'm using Fluval FX media now with Matrix in my cannister and getting readings that went weekly changes when I went to ceramic to the above mentioned media in my cannister filter.

      @@GeorgeAAquatics nice. I collected & cleaned all of mine. The rocks, except for a couple, were in a planter in front of my house. The wood was one piece, and bigger. I got it at this spillway. The tree was dead, and someone had lit a fire in the stump, so I was able to cut & break off a chunk. It's all part of the fun. I also collect bonsai trees in a similar fashion.

      is this gravel or sand.. nice, alot of rainbows, in there, how many

    • @GeorgeAAquatics
      @GeorgeAAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used sand and i have about 50 rainbows in there but i am running 2 aquaclear 110 hang on back filters

    • @mannyaraujo1
      @mannyaraujo1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a Aqueon 75 filter, biggest filter, made by that company, was part of the setup , for the 75, gallon tank should I add a aqua clear 110 filter, or is aquaclear 70 filter, combination, with the aqueon, 75 good enough glow for over stock rainbow tank.

  • @mannyaraujo1
    @mannyaraujo1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    what do you think about natural sand look, not white, also do you us have real plants, or both.. fake..

    • @GeorgeAAquatics
      @GeorgeAAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Black natural sand is really good,it makes the fish colors more nice. And all my plants are real because it helps with nitrates and ammonia. Rainbow fish love live plants. I am actually going to breed them very soon

    • @mannyaraujo1
      @mannyaraujo1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason I'm asking, I have a black background painted, you still recommend black sand, have a bit of Malaysian driftwood, and nubiius plants, they are not real, but sand is difficult with sand, I don't want to use root tabs.

    • @GeorgeAAquatics
      @GeorgeAAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trust me black background and black sand will make the fish colors really nice. I have sand and i use root tabs. I will recommend live plants only

      @@GeorgeAAquatics I have the current USA led plus light, I'm hoping there is enough light on my ,75 gallon, with the black background and black sand, I will be using a mix of real and fake plants.

      @@mannyaraujo1 why don't you want to use root tabs? Just curious
