@@GeorgeAAquatics awesome thanks for the info I love the look of “overstalked” tanks I have 30 in my heavily planted 55 and people allways say it’s overstalked but I feel like it perfectly stalked the way it is I do water changes maybe twice a month haven’t lost a fish in 6 months . Beutifull tank with many rare rainbow fish it’s like a slice of heaven in your home truly beautiful

@blundeysnipe7625 Overstocking is not bad at all if you know what you are doing in my opinions , especially in planted tanks and rainbow fish always learn to live with each other in environment like that. I had over 100 of them in my 75 gallon before i bought my 125 gallon, i am going breed more

@@GeorgeAAquatics yea too me I thought it was a heater burn or a very bad scrape but idk I did does my tank with anti bacterial and fungal remedy wich might’ve done the trick

Yep that is understandable but the reality is its gonna get to the point where the rainbow fish going to be stress and start dying

I stock males and females together because that is how you get the males colors out more

Yes i have been looosing couple so i am working on it at the moment and that is sad part of it

@@GeorgeAAquatics don’t be too hard on yourself, not all of them are supposed to make it :) Also there is always another chance another batch, another pair. You’ve made it farther than I have with rainbow fry

Yeah i have always been breeding these fish,if almost half of the fish in my main tank i bred them about three years ago so i am use to loosing them but thanks for your encouragement I really appreciate it

Yes but not all the time for example I haven’t turned it on for about a month now, the plants need just a little bit of it in my opinion

Thanks for your comment… and Alleni wapoga starts breeding when they get to about 1.5 to 2 inches. What size are yours

Okay and Mine are about 1.5 inches you can see the males just starting to color up

I think they should start breeding at this moment, what is your water temperature now

I never bred hybrid fish before, i have different types of Rainbowfish both males and females and I always breed same pair in a separate tank…. Please Watch my videos and see for yourself thanks

Yeah and will actually be a new tank that I will buy which 125 gallon or 150 but for mean time I will use it on my 75

Actually i use to have Fx5 on on it but i am using 2 Aquaclear 110 and it is working perfectly. I will recommend Fx6 which i am about to buy one very soon and Fx4 is also good for 75 gallon

Really my Rainbowfish never eat any of my plants, but i use to have congo tetras a few years ago but i got rid of because they ate all my Anubias

@George A Aquatics They don't touch the tougher plants. They went after my softer stems plants. I read if they're not getting enough veggie-type foods they may nip on plants. I feed good food, but I started feeding them more Spirulina, and the one or two have stopped. I pulled the stems out and put them in another tank. So now there are just Anubias, swords, crypts, and Java ferns.

Yeah that is true, myself i give them pea vegetable time to time, and also i don’t feel them the same food, i have about six different food for them each day including frozen foods

I agree. Local breeding is the best. Hopefully he can get enough buyers to make it worth it

He was fine when I put him in but this happen a day after and that's what I don't understand but it died the next day

Yeah i know,not a good seen for me at all, he actually died after that
