Jocko willink is like a father figure. He gets to the point but he is stern and to the point. I'm fixing to ETS from the military and his advice is golden because I am trying to earn really good pay outside of the military using my skills I gained while in the military.
The later example speaks to how our kids respond to misshaps exactly how we respond to them having the mishap. If we freak out, they will, too. Your strength sounds like it gave those you were/are responsible for strength.
⚜ I must say this shifting requires losing big parts of your ego sometimes. Also one has to trust the employee in his ability to do tasks by himself, which requires also a quality employee, who is very well self-reliable. ⚜
@@YanaNova You got to straight up tell them where they are lacking and ask them how YOU can help them to improve. Spend some time with them, teach them and make sure they understand everything. Once you do that, let them take control back - sure you might need to keep and eye on them, but definitely should avoid micromanaging everything they do. You need them to take ownership of what they do, eventually people will trust you more when YOU trust them to do the job.
I tried explaining this to a boss of mine a few years back that loooooooved to micromanage. She was awful. Came into an environment, a team, that was autonomous (barring regulatory and compliance requirements) and was so disruptive because she had to "build it from the ground up". Instead of calling it micro-management..., she called it "over management". lol So very happy to not be there with people like that.
Echo got me tickled @ the end with the “STOP SHOUTING!” 😂🤣🤣 there’s an older SNL skit where a family is @ the dinner table, fighting, & he screams “I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!!!!” gets me every. Single. time. Plz look it up if you’re reading this! PS- what to do when you’re being micromanaged by someone who hits ABSOLUTELY every curb they encounter w/ one of the 4 big ones? Like.. @@KtmLTU It IS a failure no matter what. 3 cases : the leader is insecured and will bust people's nuts by ridiculous control, OR the team hasn't been given the tools to work on their own and work procedures are too complex, OR no action is taken against a bad element, who drag the team down, for ages. Basically the manager does that guy's job instead of having a serious talk. So it is always the symptom of a failure, and when needed, it must be for a period as short as possible, like a medicine. Giving a hand and encouraging to be autnomous and ask for backup when needed. A healthy team basically needs no leader, and the leader can focus on managing the balance between the best interests of his team and the company, make relationships with higher ranks, and help grow the future leaders. Perfect and rare scenario but hey, we need a goal to aim at.. I'm curious to know when do you think micro management could be a normal, positive thing to do, all things considered. Given that training is no micromanagement for obvious reasons.

Yeah I've had 50 percent of my small intestine removed as well as 30 percent of my colen my stomach muscles are split and destroyed ill ask my doctor but he's always you will never walk again and I walked you'll never lift again and I lift so idk there kinda well useless
Start with bodyweight exercises for a couple weeks or months.. add on regular walking and drinking twice the amount of water and 1 and a half the amount of protein... Try ELLIOT HULSE like one guy above mentioned and Ben Greenfield also for your nutrition since your case is special. Anything is Possible, Hope you get to roll!
Start a business. Been there, having a 'concept' that I want to be my own boss doesn't help unless I start doing it. To start a business, you something that: you are passionate about (I.e. you are committed to it) the world needs (the market); and you can be good at (I.e. be in the top of the market). (From Good to Great by Jim Collins). Don't just start a random business, but if it has those three things you have a good chance. But really, the best way is to be 'your own boss' right now, with what you've got. Always start where you are with what you've got. Find out if you actually DO want to be your own boss - will you actually do what you tell yourself to do? Do you get along with the boss version of you? Can you bring value to your own company or are you dead weight? Many times people want to be their own boss because they don't like working for their boss. But this often is be cause they aren't really managing themselves as well as they could. Start running your life as a business - make sure you have positive cashflow every month, you are building asserts, skills, experience, you are bringing more valuable people into your life and networking, tasks get done, you manage your timeline a boss and get the most out of your hours, your annual goals and targets get accomplished, etc. You should have clear goals so you always know what your priorities are and you should be able to report at the end of the year on what you've accomplished. Make sure you are absolutely acing your current position so you can leave from a position of strength, instead of not being up for the challenge.
