  • We finally arrive in Penang! After having Nasi Kandar Kampung Melayu and resting for the night, we embark on our food adventure the next day. First stop is the famous Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng. It is by far the most delicious mee goreng mamak I have ever tasted! We then enjoyed some coffee and desserts at China House Penang.
Thanks for watching! We are Logesh, Rachel, Zaden and Kyren from the Kumaar Family.

While some Malaysians (mainly Malays) are more interested in the South Korean hype, you still appreciate the uniqueness of Malaysia, especially when it comes to Penang! You get my respect for this reason alone! 😇

@@madkhaliqfarhan i know, right? I mean, i tried some South Korean food just to catch up. But it never made into my daily list. No matter what i will always look for local food. Firstly, because local food are much more accessible. It is literally everywhere. Secondly, i don't really get into the South Korean hype because it grows on a person's daily life, like food, attire, etc. I am big fan of Japanese hype btw, but i never let it grow on me bacause i still have a higher respect for what the locals have to offer.

Welcome to my hometown! You chose the right Mi Goreng! To me, that is the best Mi Goreng in Penang - Bangkok Lane Mi Goreng (but it has moved to New World Park). If you're still here, here are some of the food you've gotta try:
    1. Ayer Itam Laksa
    2. Golden City Restaurant Char Koay Teow in Ayer Itam
    3. Bee Hooi Char Koay Teow in Pulau Tikus
    4. 888 Hokkien Prawn Mee at Presgrave Street
    5. Penang Teochew Cendol at Keng Kwee Street
    6. Lorong Seratus Curry Mee
    7. Nasi 7 Benua (Bayan Baru)
It would be great if you and your family decide to live in Penang, or maybe make it your 2nd home. Haha. Have a nice holiday here in Penang. Hope I can bump into you all out on the streets here.

This is what you if you want to bring cooked hawker food back to the US. After buying you choice of hawker food, bring it home and let it cool to room temperature. After that, put it into the freezer until it is rock solid. Just before you leave for the airport, take it out of the freezer and put it in a waterproof cooler luggage / bag. The food should still be edible after you get back to the US.
