    Given the pink and purple theme of your ork army, I'm just imagining a bunch or of them coming along after a battle, finding the smashed remains of the hammerhead, and using it for scrap because it's already painted the right color, lol!

      @@mattcurr9931 Yes his colleagues pressured him into changing the name.
      The logic behind the name aluminum was that it was a prestigious metal like Platinum.
      and also if the scientific community is obsessed with putting ium at the end of nearly every element why hasn't Platinum been changed to Platinium yet, funny inconsistency.

    Just a tip on the Airbrush... put the Thinner and Flow Aid in the cup before adding the paint into the cup. This will help to far greater reduce the chances of any paint adhering to the needle and interior of the airbrush, hence reducing the frequency which you'll need to do a full breakdown cleaning of the airbrush.

    The closest thing to magenta in acrylic pigments is usually a transparent red. You just have to glaze with it. That's 100% correct what you are doing. Using an acrylic labeled magenta is usually desaturated and just won't get you the vibrancy one usually expects from a proper magenta. Back in the 80s-90s, red ink was the go to to get that hot pink magenta color.

    I'm speaking as someone who has little to no experience painting, much less playing the tabletop. But personally I'm not sure I'd want a pink tau hover tank as the base of the model. Reason being that if I were to play with the model I'd do so against a variety of factions and colour schemes, and a hot pink tank makes it really hard for the base to blend into the the background of those battles. It draws so much attention to itself.

    • @102ndsmirnov7
      @102ndsmirnov7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ye, I have a similar feeling. I feel like the pink is just too contrasty, I thought they'd go with the stereotypical tau tan colour and it would've blended much better and stood out way less.

    Great video! More of an advanced thing, but using backflow to mix your paint aerosolizes it and can make your spraying very inconsistent. Just putting this out there for any novice airbrushers. Always mix outside your airbrush's reservoir--it gives you way more control, and in airbrushing, control is the name of the game!

    And lo, the mystical phrase again was successful and summoned the northern wise one, Dana Howl (yes Colchester is further north than Toronto, but even our 'less cold' places have winters to make Brits long for the cold darkness of the void). Having Hatty do a "let's learn the airbrush" series would, methinks, be a great addition to the channel - most 'airbrush 101' videos tend to assume limited painting experience (and are often informed by lots of experience) so Hatty's "I'm pretty decent with a brush, but this airbrush thing is new to me" perspective and take on acquiring experience and skill would be refreshing.

    Watching all this footage of a Titan's, well, _foot_ crushing a tau ship I can't help to want to name this thing The Emperor's Justice.

    For those who don't know, Rosa Pulpo is actually Octopus Pink, just a fun fact.

      ¿would rosa calamar be lighter or darker than rosa pulpo?

    • @katoshithedevilofthetenthh8254

      @@barneymcwhat6241 I think it depends. From my understanding, it would be a darker, but I think it depends on what we take as reference.
