You’re the first TH-camr I come across that has the same interest as me. I enjoy the hobby. But I am not interested in buying RTR’s and then turn it into my truck. Much rather just build my truck.
Awesome custom rc crawlers. Especially the welded frames are very impressive. Thoroughly appreciate your point of 'making your own', be it from from hardware store derived raw materials or 'mail order' or anywhere else for that matter, sourced rc parts. You for sure need vision, creativity, patience, endurance and plenty of skills to actually you know, 'make it happen'. Thank you very much Sir, a cool video overview of the Waffles RC garage, your school of thinking and of course, making! Your custom crawler, metal frame fabrication really is most impressive. Looking forward to more. Subscribed and liked, cheers 👍😊
Just now watching your earlier videos. Glad you have a diy channel. Thats aĺl the fun in it and you appreciate what you got. Keep up the good work. Love the dually.
Some people don’t have the time to build anything, this the RTR boom. We are all servants to the system anymore with nothing being normal. I appreciate seeing your time spent on something great. Stay positive my friend!
Nice Job! Good to see you having fun in the hobby and showing an alternate method for people to get involved. Rigs do not have to be overly expensive. Thanks for sharing.
I sub... This is what hobbies is all about. Not just buy them by rtr,... but create something you call it your own. I loved it... Keep it up waiting for your next project.
Not sure if you made any videos of you building a car but I personally would find it very interesting I've watched 2 of your videos and must say that you are an amazing contributor to the RC world especially for those of us who just want to have fun keep up the good work hope to see more videos from you
Awesome builds, definitely like to see a scratch built frame and what they weigh when complete compared to a comparable RTR rig. I picked up a frame this week to do a stretched SCX24 tow rig build. Have a CEN450 for a 1/10 tow rig but wanna build my own trailer.
I personally would love to see more videos , I usually buy rtr I don't have much extra time to build , I work 6 days a week , some times 7 , but your videos give Lots of great ideas , maybe one day I can build one myself but until maybe I can watch you build them , please keep up the great videos and thank you for sharing your love of the hobby , I think crawling ( when I have the time ) is so relaxing , makes you think of other stuff besides work , please keep the videos rolling and again thank you for sharing
I have a 2 wd monster truck i built myself. Its bad ass! All aluminum and i took all the motor and esc unit out of my drag car and put in it. Just got the body the other day and just need a shorty battery for it. All metal gears, axles, transmission, frame, suspension arms, torsion bars, wheels, lol the works. It runs around 75mph. Just did a gear change recently
@WafflesRC-pb4nt that would be kool. My next build is gonna be a 73 to 79 Chevy build with a metal frame in a rock crawler version. I also scratch built a car trailer so I could put the fast one on that and pull it with my rock crawler when I get it built. I wanna do this one in 4wd this time. Build my own version. If I only knew how to just post pics here I'd show off what I have now, but Idk how to post pics yet lol, and thank you for the compliment. I have a few thousand dollars invested in it lol. Parts aren't too cheap and for the ones that were, it didn't take long to add up lol
i love your content i run a laser table and a water jet i make most of my parts just made a tandem axle trailer .i cant afford new rigs any more so i have been even making full frames. This economy sucks so glad to see a guy thats likes to make custom parts
This is sweet. I dig piecemeal rigs. I'm currently building my first 1/10 trail truck. I'm on disability, so I'm piecing it together with unused takeoffs, cheap parts, and free offerings from others. I've got VS4-10 chassis rails, AR45 straight axles, VXT tires and SSD wheels. I figure I have a long Wisconsin winter ahead to find the rest of the parts i need and get it built.
@@WafflesRC-pb4nt with so many people going to flat rail chassis it's easy to find stock ones. And nobody uses the VXT tires from the kits either. I think they'll be great for hauling my overland trailer on the gravel bike trails here in southwestern Wisconsin.
I like what you're laying down, but for the sake of saving one of your RCs should a battery begin to let go.. I'd avoid using zip ties for hold downs. Unless you're really quick with a knife or some snips. Maybe rubber bands? You got some cool rigs there, man!
I use a 110 gas mig welder, a cut off wheel and a flap disk. And sometimes a tape measure. I just put out a build video that shows all about how I build them.
Not sure if this has been said already, also not sure if you have it already, but if you run a sensored motor and a little lower gearing on your mud truck it will crawl a lot better
Honestly that is why I started my channel is because i couldn't find a lot out there. There are great people out there but not a lot the way I do it. I'm currently editing a build video so i hope that will help you and others to see how to build one from scratch.
Amazing rigs and work! I'm sure your video is def gonna help my future builds, the gears are already grinding in my head! Keep up the great work brother!
I just subscribed your channel. Hope to learn. I live in South Africa. The big issue we have is an exchange rate that kills the bank, hence I always go for cheap.[19 to 1] Secondly the time it takes to get here is not even worth mentioning (Up to 2 Months) if you are lucky. From China I ordered metal Axles, not sure what I am going to get, but expected delivery Feb 24....I hope you could show me the best place to buy from.
I honestly don't know the names of any of the axle sets. I usually just look for the type of axles that i want for a particular build and look for the best deal that is metal.
That's the way I go too.. why buy a stock truck only to end up touching every part when upgrading ...it's cheaper to start with a pile of decent overnight parts from china..
I would like to see the process on how you build that Cadillac out for one second of all I would like to see how you would build a trailer for me I would like to build a tongue tow trailer
Stuff like this is what I wanna do. I wanna learn to build off the platforms I own for max customization. Make what I wanna make. Tired of some these cookie cutter youtubers😂😂😂😂
You purchased the wrong brushless system man, spectrum is by far the worst. CTle has system very close to the price of that spectrum that's alot better 😊
Aside from the chassis's you're building..the only thing breaking is the cheap stuff? Basically, all you're doing is promoting cheap goods from Amazon. I could do the same but I don't want my stuff to break as soon as I get it. Also loctite for metel to metal screws is a necessity for any mechanical part that move and are subject to high stress. In the end, you're going to spend more on cheap parts than expensive parts eventually
I want to make a tube chassie for my tamiya clodbuster it runs on duel brushless 3000kv motors duel hobbywing 60 amp esc both on 3s. Making 24volts its a ripper. It has a home made sassy chassie. Using rc10 battery trays. .

Subscribed for that nice stuff.
The Tow Truck looks so damn nice with the details! love the work.
Would be great to see build you an entire car.
Thank you very much!! I do have plans in the works to do a ground up build as soon as I can.
Good looking rigs. I like building mine as well building a mud truck now
Looking forward to a construction video!

Loving the builds.
I've done that with 1/24th & 1/18th scale crawlers. Haven't done a 1/10th scale yet, but getting parts ready for it...
Epic vid! Really liked watching it. subbed

Great content! Can you build a pulling sled? Surprised you haven't yet.
That actually sounds like a good challenge. That is definitely going on my list for sure!!

+1 sub
Awesome rigs, wish I had the talent to do that.
I would love to see a scratch build! I’m doing that in 1/18 now. Next up for me is 1/10
That's incredible man but one question, what's your process for the welding what metal and what equipment do you use
I use a 110 gas mig welder, a cut off wheel and a flap disk. And sometimes a tape measure. I just put out a build video that shows all about how I build them.

That does sound like a good challenge... I will have to think on that one for sure!
@@WafflesRC-pb4nt , I do know I will be binge watching your channel so I can try to build a crawler..

We need a separate video on the mud truck. With more information like what body what axles what tires and so on
hi, love rc😄

How did you make that sick Tacoma?
Wow awesome video, and cool rc car 👍👍💯
Where did you get axles and tires for the trailer? That’s badass
I got them off Amazon. They are for the 1/14 scale big rig trucks and trailers.
What are the sizes and names of the axles from amazon? these homemade frames are cool.
I honestly don't know the names of any of the axle sets. I usually just look for the type of axles that i want for a particular build and look for the best deal that is metal.
Nice,fun
Yes it's awesome and I a m interested
My crawler weighs about 13 pounds. 😂 it's basically the opposite of a comp rig but she can still climb with the best of them.
Heck ya!! That's awesome!!
RTR stands for "ready to replace" anyways
