Yikes! You went down Dufferin St, I avoid Dufferin as the cars go too fast, I would have taken Marlee as there's a bike lane on that street. I wrote to the City of Toronto and Mayor Olivia Chow, requesting for 2 way bike lanes North on Dufferin Street, I also filmed a video on Dufferin St, showing where and how much space there is for a bike lane.
If you notice, AK is the only one on a scooter or bike on Dufferin St.
Dufferin St gets better, south of Bloor St W. You should have stayed on Dufferin St and entered at the Dufferin Gates. When you were on Queen St W, you could have made a right on any of the sides street to go south towards Strachan Ave.

I would not feel safe on that thing. All it takes is one driver texting and not paying attention while passing you, and you are in serious trouble.
All in all, I think you were pretty fortunate.

I've ridden scooters in Nashville (without a helmet) but I would never ride a scooter along public streets in Toronto. Most drivers and truckers are too ignorant of their surroundings. And as you found out unfortunately, the streets are littered with bumps, cracks, patches, and potholes. Not to mention the uneven manhole covers. The bus isn't that bad outside of rush hour. Regardless, Dufferin is a heavily used road so you're better off taking public transit.

If you went straight down Dufferin St. there another entrance to the CNE called Dufferin Gate.
