The little doggie sweater is darling! I made one for my little doggie who is about the same size as yours, made the same way only in knitting and it has a turtleneck. Carson loves his because it’s quite easy to get on and off. His is purple with turquoise trim, made of leftover yarn. ☺️🧶🐶

Sandra, such a lovely vlog. You are so motivating and all the things you make are so beautiful and inspiring. I have a white tree with branches, not Christmas tree shaped, that we had for my daughter’s wedding to use for the table seating plan. Since then I’ve displayed it all year round and add to it every year with homemade Christmas decorations that our grandchildren make or give us, usually handmade. The children also love looking at all their gorgeous little things. I couldn’t hear your rain because of our own rain pounding down 😳🧶✨🇬🇧

My dog likes her sweater too. When I first fixed it, the arm cuffs were too tight. So, I just removed them. I could tell she was happier with it and prefers to be warm than cold too. I hard a hard time figuring what Suze to make. So, I started buying her sweaters and found she is a large dog on the extra large side. I was surprised too at how much she likes her sweater and even being cooperative while putting it on. Those look lovely. I only made one and it was from a pet blanket yarn. I do want to try more later but the special yarn was only a limited edition. I hope I can fine more later. I love your sweater too.

This really is a bumper edition 🤯 jam-packed with so many things, I especially love the mitts , though i am not a great knitter, I'd be up to the challenge of those as they shouldn't take as long as a jumper. Berties jumpers are fabulous and your own is so very pretty. I think you've done a fabulous job on those embroideries and would like to suggest teeny tiny embroidered and hooped hangable things for your tree this coming Christmas. They'd be fast, doable and very satisfying to make. I've seen that you can get embroidery hoops that are small enough to work as decorations. Seeing your darling Bertie in his jumper made me wish I had a dog of my own. My late husband and I had two Golden Retreivers years ago, but I am 79 now and have neither the energy nor the budget to be a good dog parent. So I vicariously enjoy Bertie's video appearances! And of course love your designs! I find them very inspiring! Your home and "she shed" studio are so beautifully decorated by your creations. Such a pleasure to see!
Happy 2023! so many lovely things ... your sweater and the cabled mitts are gorgeous, I love Berties little sweaters, and the embroidery pieces have turned out beautiful. I find if the "clothing" fit the dogs and are not too restrictive, they don't mind them at all and are comforted by them. My Golden Retriever didn't like his hunting vest, it was just a bit snug on him, but my springer mix is about 15 pounds lighter and she wears the same vest with no complaints. Looking forward to more of Bertie's growing wardrobe ;)

My, is Bertie cute! Very sweet, and I personally am not a fan of animal clothing. But he looks so happy in it - perfect! I love your embroidery, too, my favorite is the polar bear. If you hadn't told anybody, nobody would have realised that you were having problems, he is so beautiful! I can totally relate to have yarn sitting somewhere visible, so I can look at it. How handsome Bertie is in his sweater! I think you should go for it with the idea for your Christmas tree. I have one tree full of bobbinlace ornaments I made and love it. I bought thread and silver filiment to crochet snowflakes and it has sat for 2 Christmas's now. I think I need to look it up and do one or two a month along with you. I know exactly what you mean! To be honest Bertie is a big chewer of his blankets! Luckily he at least knows to stick to his own blankets when it comes to sticking the teeth in. I actually felted this one up to make sure I didn’t fall apart as soon as he got stuck into it! ❤️

I love berties jumpers. I have a four month old doxie called Duke. He is black and tan and is the most delightful sweet boy. Would love to make him a jumper. You could just write up the pattern as you made for bertie. We could work it out and adjust it I think. X

Lovely doggy jumpers. Unfortunately my crochet skills won’t stretch to anything beyond granny squares! Your indigo yarn is a beautiful thing. Have you seen the Forest Canopy Shawl? It’s been around for some time. I have knitted 5 of them. It even had its own Ravelry Group for a few years. Not sure if it’s still going though. It is a beautiful leafy lace pattern that is so much easier than it looks and is a very intuitive and pleasant knit. Hi Sandra, just to let you know, since Brexit you no longer have to pay any tax and therefore no processing fees on parcels from abroad, including the US, i believe, up to £200 or a bit less.
@@CherryHeart uk government just basically introduced the same rule for all the countries instead of giving preferential treatment to the EU and I believe but don’t quote me on that, the tax and the threshold for tax was set by the EU and couldn’t be changed by the UK before. Now the sellers just pay the tax in advance if the purchase is under £200 so we don’t have to pay it when we receive the parcel and pay that extortionate (in relation to the parcel value) processing fee.

Thanks so much! As for the yarn calendars, I just usually see them pop up on Instagram from yarn dyers I follow. They come out at all kinds of different times of year though, some launch early in spring, some later in summer. You just never know! 🤷♀️❤️

No words for how I felt when you spoke about my yarn and receiving it! And your words about the podcast...No words. Just deep gratitude and a feeling of being humbled. 🙏🏾 My husband and I were also completely stumped by the international postage costs. I don't know how long people from small businesses will be able to keep shipping outside their respective countries. As usual a thoroughly enjoyable podcast! I loved the sound of the rain the entire time! It was like being there with you and I've always been soothed by the sound of rain on the roof. Berties jumpers are fabulous and your own is so very pretty. I think you've done a fabulous job on those embroideries and would like to suggest teeny tiny embroidered and hooped hangable things for your tree this coming Christmas. They'd be fast, doable and very satisfying to make. I've seen that you can get embroidery hoops that are small enough to work as decorations. So looking forward to your next podcast and hoping we'll all get a break from this soggy weather soon 💕🤗

Seeing your darling Bertie in his jumper made me wish I had a dog of my own. My late husband and I had two Golden Retreivers years ago, but I am 79 now and have neither the energy nor the budget to be a good dog parent. So I vicariously enjoy Bertie's video appearances!
And of course love your designs! I find them very inspiring! Your home and "she shed" studio are so beautifully decorated by your creations. Such a pleasure to see!
How lovely! My Nan had three golden labradors at one time, not quite the same I know, but they were such beautiful dogs, I loved them all! ❤️

Happy 2023! so many lovely things ... your sweater and the cabled mitts are gorgeous, I love Berties little sweaters, and the embroidery pieces have turned out beautiful. I find if the "clothing" fit the dogs and are not too restrictive, they don't mind them at all and are comforted by them. My Golden Retriever didn't like his hunting vest, it was just a bit snug on him, but my springer mix is about 15 pounds lighter and she wears the same vest with no complaints. Looking forward to more of Bertie's growing wardrobe ;)

My, is Bertie cute! Very sweet, and I personally am not a fan of animal clothing. But he looks so happy in it - perfect! I love your embroidery, too, my favorite is the polar bear. If you hadn't told anybody, nobody would have realised that you were having problems, he is so beautiful! I can totally relate to have yarn sitting somewhere visible, so I can look at it. This is why I have rededicated some shelves in our living room to knitting and bobbin lace.

I bought thread and silver filiment to crochet snowflakes and it has sat for 2 Christmas's now. I think I need to look it up and do one or two a month along with you. I know exactly what you mean! To be honest Bertie is a big chewer of his blankets! Luckily he at least knows to stick to his own blankets when it comes to sticking the teeth in. I actually felted this one up to make sure I didn’t fall apart as soon as he got stuck into it! ❤️

I actually just bought 3 skeins of local indigo dyed cotton (I live in Japan). I am hoping to make a summer top (maybe a tunisian crochet pattern) later this year. I am so excited that there are other dyers working with it back home in the US too.

I love berties jumpers. I have a four month old doxie called Duke. He is black and tan and is the most delightful sweet boy. Would love to make him a jumper. You could just write up the pattern as you made for bertie. We could work it out and adjust it I think. X

Lovely doggy jumpers. Unfortunately my crochet skills won’t stretch to anything beyond granny squares! Your indigo yarn is a beautiful thing. Have you seen the Forest Canopy Shawl? It’s been around for some time. I have knitted 5 of them. It even had its own Ravelry Group for a few years. Not sure if it’s still going though. It is a beautiful leafy lace pattern that is so much easier than it looks and is a very intuitive and pleasant knit. I have forgotten the designers name, but I will pop back on and leave it here. 🍂🍃 (designer Susan Lawrence)

Hi Sandra, just to let you know, since Brexit you no longer have to pay any tax and therefore no processing fees on parcels from abroad, including the US, i believe, up to £200 or a bit less.
Oh that’s interesting, I thought I’d just got lucky! How could Brexit effect parcels coming from US though? 🤔
@@CherryHeart uk government just basically introduced the same rule for all the countries instead of giving preferential treatment to the EU and I believe but don’t quote me on that, the tax and the threshold for tax was set by the EU and couldn’t be changed by the UK before. Now the sellers just pay the tax in advance if the purchase is under £200 so we don’t have to pay it when we receive the parcel and pay that extortionate (in relation to the parcel value) processing fee.

Thanks so much! As for the yarn calendars, I just usually see them pop up on Instagram from yarn dyers I follow. They come out at all kinds of different times of year though, some launch early in spring, some later in summer. You just never know! 🤷♀️❤️
