Your Lace and fade boxie. is gorgeous the mohair lace is so delicate, will look really pretty xx
And you should ! Be proud of it - it is soooo lovely. I think the plain backfabric is perfect to, as it shows the handwork so well, and , I think , makes it look more “old-fashioned”. Crinkly!! Like a vintage quilt from the start.

Ahh thank you my lovely friend!! Yes it’s nice to be able to get a pattern out again and it’s had such a nice reception which is so lovely. Everyone is very kind. Thanking you for asking after me. I am managing ok but a few difficult times here. Hopefully better things soon. ☺️❤️
Hi Sandra, I hope you are doing well. I am so excited about your crochet advent wrap. It is beautiful! You should be so proud of your beautiful Patchwork quilt. It’s truly a masterpiece! I enjoyed every minute of the show as always. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you have a lovely week 🍂🦌🎄
Oh thank you, that’s so lovely to hear!! ☺️ Yes, it all feels worth it, even if there were moments where it felt like a slog, that’s all forgotten now! You too. 😘
Another lovely podcast, thanks for sharing your many beautiful projects and your talents. The quilt is absolutely stunning, something to be quite proud of for sure. I love the idea of the crochet wrap pattern to use up minis or advent calendar yarns .. I too have looked for an advent calendar that offers a crochet project, or have searched for crochet projects that would use these yarns. Your project would be excellent for a December crochet-a-long ;)
A lovely lovely episode! The quilt is a masterpiece (all that handwork!) and all your projects are stunning. The boxy is growing so beautifully. I adore the sound of your advent calendar pattern and itlooks really pretty. I hope some day in the future to be able to afford one of these beautiful advent calendars; they always looks like such fun. Looking forward to seeing you next time! Xx ❤️
Wow that is beautiful episode 😍, I love the new pattern and can't wait to get it, Sandra I love all your patterns, you are an amazing designer and person xxx, thank you so much for all the joy you give us during making your beautiful beautiful patterns, all these hours of fun ❤ x
Your quilt is lovely. You should be very proud. I'm excited about the bobbles and berries wrap. I am a crocheter who collects minis. It may be a New Year's project if I get more yarn for Christmas.
Sandra, your Liberty Quilt is amazing! So special. I really like your advent wrap as well. I don't get advents due to the cost but think it would be lovely done in scraps as well.
Thank you! Yes they are such a luxury item for sure but having done my first one in scraps I can say that it’s just as pleasurable and works just as well! ❤️
Your projects are beautiful and I especially like your Baubles and Berries wrap! I have such trouble finding crochet projects for small yarn amounts that I think are attractive.
Your quilt is gorgeous! In regard to the binding, Less Is More! I think you made the best decision with a narrow binding…it makes the flowers Pop! Just like edging in a garden. Now, should you redecorate your bedroom around this beautiful quilt 😊
This particular episode blew me away. What a beautiful mix of projects!!! So stoked to hear that an amazing fiber artist such as Sandra has made a fantastic pattern for the advent minis. Also the quilt is absolutely stunning. Such a great accomplishment!!! That is worthy of a standing ovation... thanks again for all the inspiration. 🙂
I like the quilt binding as it is. Your sewing looks great. These things you make are beautiful treasures. I like the idea of doing the advent shawl. I got a compliment on a shawl that was your pattern last week. (The I love summer shawl.)
Love the wrap. Just the thing as this year for the first time I’ve bought an advent of minis and was wondering what to do with them. The quilt is absolutely beautiful ❤
Hi 😊👋 love love all of your gorgeous makes your choice of colours the crochet rows so delicate so is the sweater divine where you find time for doing all ?
Oh your quilt is stunning, a real heirloom piece, and the hand quilting makes it even more special. & hooray! I’m so happy you are doing a crochet pattern for minis, it’s what’s slightly put me off advents (days of sock knitting, which I can’t do). Will you be doing a tutorial for the flower bits at all? Can’t wait!! X
Thank you! Yes I hope so, after all this work I need generations to admire it! 😂 Yes it’s nice to add a different crochet option to the mix I think. I’ve got some lovely photo tutorials to help with any tricky bits in the pattern, always like to try and explain as clearly as I can. ☺️
Always so lovely - you are so fast, love the advent pattern, may be a longer repeat into a baby blanket, so much potential - love the quilt, almost tempted to start mine which is in 12 boxes in my desk 😂 xx
Ooh yes, what a fab idea! I always meant to turn my Ziggy interrupted into a blanket too, but haven’t found the time for it yet. Maybe one day I will get around to it. Ha ha well it’s good it’s all ready to go, maybe 2023 will be the year! 😉
I don't know which I love more - your Liberty quilt or the Advent Wrap. Such beautiful colours! You have an amazing eye for mixing colours. Thanks for the constant inspirations.
I’m so excited for you! Your hand stitched quilt has me speechless! Well, almost! It is absolutely beautiful, amazing, a masterpiece!! Worth the wool batting!
Loved loved loved this episode, you have such a lovely mix of projects. Your quilt is absolutely stunning and such a lot of work gone into it. I have just taken up EPP and so enjoying it, but I must admit the hand quilting sounds a bit daunting. ❤
Thanks so much! Yes I was very daunted by the idea of hand quilting too. But once I got started it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I feared. I actually quite enjoyed it in the end. ❤️
Yay! I can’t wait for the release of your latest pattern, the Berries and Baubles Wrap! I don’t have a stash of minis, so I’ll see how it works up in size 2 purple and pink yarn. This should be an excellent calming project for the four weeks of Advent. 🕯
Oh, I am crocheting your advent wrap for sure!! I agree that there needs to be more crochet advent patterns out there. Thank you for filling this need.
Love, love, love the wrap pattern. Reminded me of both the Peek-A-Boo and a little bit of Spice of Life patterns. I have a couple of Advents this year (Sew Sweet Violet and Elderflower Stitches) as my main Christmas gifts so can use them up for it. Haven’t been crocheting much lately as got sidetracked by sewing, cross-stitch and embroidery but am just getting back into it now. Cannot wait for the pattern. Love your designs. Completely stunning Alice Caroline quilt. Well done!! That is a true family heirloom piece. I’m going to have a go at Emma Jones’s idea of a handmade EPP quilt. Yes - I’ve heard that the wool wadding is the best. I’m going to use the Heirloom batting for the EPP. That jumper will be gorgeous. I’m determined to learn to knit a jumper next year. Did socks - now jumpers to learn. Have a lovely week. Lesley xx
Thank you! Ooh I have an elderflower stitches advent too. I think it should be lovely for this. ☺️ Yes I think it is worth splashing out on a wool wadding for those special pieces. I’m glad I did. ❤️ I have been neglecting my embroidery so that’s something I’m hoping to get back to in December. You know, when I’ll have all that time! 😂
It would be lovely and helpful if you would model the 2 crocheted pieces for wearing. That liberty quilt is absolutely beautiful. Wow. i love it so much.
Thanks so much! I’m not sure how the DK would work out. You wouldn’t have enough yardage to work it as written for sure. Possibly if you worked fewer multiples of stitches it could work but I haven’t tested that so it might take some trial and error! ❤️
HI Sandra your Flower Garden quilt is stunning, well done on hand quilting it. Hand quilting a quilt as I watch this podcast. Can I ask have you embroidered a label for your quilt - its name, who made it, date completed etc. Such a beautiful quilt needs that! Your minis scarf is lovely, my goal next year is to learn to crochet, so will add it to my list of things I would like to do once I have got the basics. Loving your Lace and Fade Boxy.
Hi, thanks so much! No I haven’t done a label yet. It’s always been my intention too as I have done with all my other quilts. I must make sure I don’t forget that! ❤️
@@CherryHeart just like an artist signing his painting. My husbands Nan made many beautiful things but never added a label which is such a shame as history gets forgotten if not written down. Enjoy designing your label. Also made your extra flowers would make fab cushion covers.
Where do I find those minis to make the same thing u did? Ease post the name of the yarn and where do I find it in the net to buy it and where do I find the pattern to buy it? Thank you.
Hi. Many yarn dyers make these sort of advent calendars. You’d have to check their own sites and social media for info. Although many do release earlier in the year. It’s good to look out for your favourite dyers updates. ❤️
