I rode the NJ Transit once last year from Penn Station to Asbury Park and it took an hour and a half. On the way back I took the 836 bus to Freehold and catch the 139 back to New York. Who trip trip took like 3 1/2 hours to 4 hours
I used to take this train sometimes when hiking in western Harriman State Park and I've taken it as far up as Salisbury Mills - Cornwall to hike Schunemunk Mountain.

Wish they'd restore the station and use the lobby for Metro North commuters. Even after all these years, the ride is still too long with the train max speed being too low.
@@Bklynkid52 Can passengers wait inside the original waiting area? I always loved that when they restored the Ramsey station in the late 80s. Ramsey was one of the very last manned stations on the line due to large amount of people from New York using the station (until Ramsey Route 17 was completed. (Walter worked Ramsey Station for many years.)

Of course the announcement said “when leaving the train please watch the gap”
Obviously that be Middletown NJ 😂
You left out Suffern, unless it was skipped.
Metro north singing to the passengers with there "speak softly" alerts😂
You should do the hudson line next from poughkeepsie to grand central terminal.
@@Parzival899 I’ve come from the future to say it’s done. 😃
@@Bklynkid52 Thanks

MY NEAREST NJT STATION (Radburn, Passed it)
Wish they'd restore the station and use the lobby for Metro North commuters. Even after all these years, the ride is still too long with the train max speed being too low.
If you’re talking about Port Jervis, they did renovate the station from what it once was.

@@swampthing1173 There is a waiting area, but I don’t know how it looked before.
What was your phone percentage after the recording and how much space do you have on it?
