That looks fantastic. What I've been doing is putting a layer of glue on the base, place rocks, sprinkle sand, and let dry. Then paint the base color and let dry, then finish with contrast and drybrush before tufts. That's how I'm getting my sort of oily charred hellscape look. I think I need to mix matte medium into my Drakenhof Nightshade to matte it down.
@@Warhipster I think I went right into Drakenhof Nightshade over the primer then layers of drybrush and colors diluted with matte medium. Still need to do a quick drybrush pass to finish them all off now that they have the tufts on. Looks kind of like KT Mordelai are on a wet nighttime patrol.
For sure! Mine is really really old Games Workshop Modelling Gravel but I know that Green Stuff World, Army Painter and even brands like War World Gaming do very very very similar ones. As long as it's very small you're good to go!
Paints used:
Armageddon Dust
Wyldwood
Nazdreg Yellow
Basilicanum Grey
Tyrant Skull
Corvus Black
Modelling Gravel
Contrast Medium
Mordheim Tufts

Thank you! That sounds ace, what paints do you use on it?

That sounds badass!
@@Warhipster Going to get even cooler now that I can design and print my own servo skulls.
That’s going to be well smart!
Excellent stuff. I'll be doing this on...something.
Excellent!
Your upload rate is insane at the moment! Keep it up!
Thank you, I shall certainly try!
I've found this is MUCH easier if you just remove the model from the base first and glue them back after
Thank U!!
Glad you like it Francesc!
Currently sat boiling away in this UK heatwave and I feel like I'm in the same desert as these Celestial Vindicators!
Haha! You know nothing of heat, my loft room is unreal.
Do you know the brand of modelling gravel used by any chance please?
