Thanks James, My DJI Osmo Action cam works well. I set it to AWB, Cine-D, 2.7K, 24 fps and then let LumaFusion/Leeming LUTs color correct in post. Now if I could just get TH-cam off my butt by allowing my simple GarageBand "audio loops" as being Royalty Free per the terms of my Apple license I'd be delighted.
I live in Palo Alto and often hike in nearby Big Basin Redwoods State Park. My favorite hike is to "Buzzard's Roost." It is supposedly a popular hike -- but we've never passed anyone else while hiking it. I still love the hike to Berry Creek Falls though.
@@KV_Aventuras big basin is currently closed due to the fires. Probably for another year. So sad. Did Skyline to the Sea a year or so ago. Great hike. Love the stretch from HQ to Berry Creek falls. Got eaten alive by mosquito at Jay Camp though :(
@@ukdiveboy indeed. We’ll all be readjusting our California hikes for awhile. I’ve been going out to Anza Borrego SP quite a bit this Fall. I hear much if the Sierras are open to hike again.
I've been out hiking at the Nicene Marks Forest not too far from there, which was absolutely beautiful. I'm sure your hike was paradise. Gotta say I've never seen olives done as a hiking snack. How was it? Also, points to you on the compostable bag. Very cool! More hiking videos, please!
Years ago had my Bounder in a RV campground in Felton , Right next to us a HUGE! redwood limb broke off and went right thru the windshield of a car parked next to us! like a medieval spear. We left the next day..
Ha! You got that right. This was a total slacker hike for me. :-) As I get older each year (just turned 57), I’m learning to use hiking trails like a big outdoor sofa and just laze around staring at trees and eating too much and drinking too much whiskey. Doh! All those other hiking videos where I climb thousands of feet everyday always beat my old body all up. BTW the Big Basin Redwoods are a complete cakewalk. Not a single technical section in the entire 32 miles to Waddell Beach. Even with all the blow downs! And it’s all basically close to Sea level with limited water carries if any. Totally cruiser hike if you ever wanna try it. Highly recommended it.
This was the first week of March in 2020. I also did it in May 2017 (and posted that video as well) This is a terrific hike. I look forward to doing it again.
What a gorgeous hike and place... love me some redwoods... good job...
Thanks Marmalade. They’re the closest “Big” redwoods to us.
Great video! I love Big Basin..have backpacked there several times being from the Bay Area. Please put out more videos of your hikes.
Thanks. Will do :-)
Nice video! You had some great cinematic Shots. Keep it up! Happy Trails

Awesome video! I too love dehydrated beans and Fritos.... Might I recommend adding instant rice? Either way, sweet video!
Great idea! Love rice ad beans.
I am from the bay area and it's amazing this is in our backyard...
Indeed. It is completely surrounded by private property. But what is there is pristine. The trails are very well maintained.

Sounds like my kind of hike. How did it fare with the recent wildfires?
@@KV_Aventuras - There was quite a bit of smoke while we were there. It greatly impeded our view. However, we still made it to the top.

Is this a video about food consumption with backpacking as a backdrop? Whatever it is, TH-cam wants more! 🤙
Indeed it is. All trails are a glorious excuse for caloric indulgence.
got that normark reference right away
coffee, holy moment :-)

Olives are great (especially if you bring vodka)
Love the first song. Is that you playing?
Yes. That’s me. Every now and then I put my music degree to work to save on royalty fees. Lol
@@KV_Aventuras That's awesome, love that you make your own music for your videos

Wow. Hope no one was hurt.
This Forrest is a bit risky for tree fall and dead fall. You really need to time the winds and weather.
As much as, you sit around and eat and dilly-daddel around, you will never get to Waddle Beach?
