I am south Indian and say your notion is very wrong considering the fact that there are a lot of central govt investments in the South. Vajpayee took taxes from every state in the country. If some state is earning in surplus those funds can be used to develop the other states. Maharastra Earns more money than AP+TN+TG combined by you logic should they be spending all money earned by maharastra only in maharastra?

Bro, look at the statistics of money we give to the center and what center gives to us. Just 20% of the population contributes a full 30% of India's tax revenues. This is the money that runs the country.The South also delivers a fourth of India's GDP. But what do we get in return? just a measly amount we get in return. the five Deccan states get a paltry 18% of funds allocated back from the center.Tamil Nadu alone gets just "40 pasie" in return for every ONE Rupee it generates for the center.a per capita GDP that is over double that of the Hindi belt, it is also leaps ahead on human development and social indicators. If we have to get all the amount in return south India would be a DECENT MIDDLE-INCOME LEVEL COUNTRY, we will be like south Korea whereas North will be like NORTH Korea. read this article for other information and statistics.

No shame in admitting the truth. Humility is the key to peace. In fact, it's the lack of humility and this Hindutva "pride" that is destroying northern India. I feel for the common people in northern India. Even the RSS members that cause violence make me feel pity. The amount of anger and hate must be eating them up.
