I'm new here and I really like the teaching style. Like a lot of others I'm looking to play now I've retired. My cowboy chords got me something for 45 years but I must progress. Huge hands and arthritis do make things tricky.
Good stuff, you are in the same boat as many of my other students with what you mention - being retired. Hope you keep enjoying the lessons and keep enjoying your playing :)
So good!
Cheers!
I am a very lazy "intermediate" and felt compelled to knock the dust off my guitar and play along with you. Keep posting!
Glad to hear it, thanks. I hope we had a fun jam. :)
Just what I've been looking for. Many thanks 😊
Glad you like it. Cheers :)
Muito bom... parabéns pelo trabalho 😎
I struggle with barring the g, b, and e strings, and playing that lick. Arthritis is a bummer. Thanks for the lesson. I'm subscribing.
My pleasure, Barry. I'll do more videos with simpler licks that will be easier on your fingers. Taught a lot of students with arthritis over the years so will share some good licks :)
Thank you! I will certainly practice this
Cheers, John. Glad you are enjoying it.👍

Nice lesson hope to see some more. Do you play electric blues
Thanks, yeah, I'll be doing more blues lessons. I tend to teach acoustic mostly but am happy to do some electric blues too :)
Really interesting and helpful ! Thank you for sharing ! New subscriber !
Ace. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the other lessons too :)
Solid blues tutorial, I’d love to see a blues book/course one day!
Thanks, I do have a course on the blues here - fingerpickingfun.com/mini-masterclass-the-12-bar-blues-shuffle/ Hoping to do more blues lessons/resources soon :)

Nice shirt!
Ha, thanks!
Cool, I like to play 5 scales in G the pentatonic maj, min, the major, the minor, the Mixolydian because its a G scale and the Dorian .lol thats six
Which Yamaha do you use?
What is the guitar you’re playing?
The room acoustics on your voice could improved with some dampening, other than that fantastic lesson. 😊😊😊😊😊
why this with only plucking the E G B E, if im seeing correct?..( 3:52 )
This looks like it is good to have under your hands. Obviously not limited to G.
Thanks, yeah for sure, you can adapt it to any key you like. Hope you enjoyed it :)
All good exercises, but definitely NOT "ground breaking..."
Please not another boring twelve bar blues, TH-cam is already flooded with them, and you might want to think about putting in some alternating up strokes, instead of all down strokes, your playing will become much more fluent.
Just move on then & forget about leaving a nasty comment.
If you think you are too good for this level, then jog on, or even better put your own lesson on here for us new to playing.
wheres the turnaround? that's like not even 1/3rd of a shuffle, wheres the rest of it?
It's a two-minute workout on a variety of blues skills, not a full lesson on the shuffle. I'll do more on it though but this video demo's turnarounds - th-cam.com/video/t76nn-7J2Og/w-d-xo.html
if it's a 2 minute workout why is this video over 8 minutes long ?
The workout portion is 2-minutes and the rest of the lesson is teaching the parts. Thanks, hope you enjoy it. :)
