He is playing as jester and the absolute mad man just hit me with "lollipop upgrade just makes it smaller" did he actually forgot how to read? The jester doesn't even have the smaller cards mechanic so it's baffling that he didn't even notice that
He has always pronounced "spatula" correctly. The problem is that he somehow hasn't made the connection between the words "spatula" and "spatulasword", so he always mispronounces the latter.
NL lost the moment he didn´t read what the upgrade to lolipop did and when he took Hall of Mirrors Hall of Mirrors is terrible for Jester cause if you don´t have a 6 you got an useles item you can´t even yeet with a discard
Yeah, if you’re gonna take it you have to make sure you have an upgrade (and then I love a copy) on the floor. My first jester run I got 3 upgraded hall of mirrors and the finale that lets you retake your turn. I ended the boss fight with 17 dice and full health
You killed yourself with hall of mirrors. As the Jester, it's dead card you can't get out of your hand without a 6. That means 1 of your precious 3 card slots is taken away and that you most likely can't discard anymore. You have to feed you dice into bad cards in order to get to what you want instead of just being able to discard.
Some People would start the video over if they literally leave their seat and don't show any gameplay in the first half a minute... Not this egg, and that's why we love him!
they already have too many words on them for NL to bother reading them. all of them explain pretty clearly what they do, lollipop upgrade could say "return 2 random dice" but besides that i don't think any card text could be made better
Just gonna leave my opinion here on the matter, but I think you highly overrate Shock. It works well against very few enemies in the game. Most enemies get one more dice than they have equipment to use it on with some standouts: - Sneezy who doesn't care about Shock unless it's on Sneeze. - Fireman because he has two Fireballs but four dice, meaning that even if you get two Shock on him the gear is still accessible. All he needs is two evens and that is a done deal. - Kraken who gets two more dice than he gets pieces of gear making Shock very hard to use successfully. - Stereohead because he is the only enemy in the game weak against electric damage. Most of the time Shock doesn't do enough to slow the enemies down. It has a few niche uses, but on the whole I think Shock is the worst status in the game. You would have been better off with Flying Skull and Evil Laugh. Curse doesn't always trigger, but it's a game changer when it does! Also, Lollipop upgrade and Hall of Mirrors misplays were damning.
If he'd snapped those three Blammo cards in the first turn of the Kraken fight, he would've left him with 22 HP and gotten away with having five dice, assuming that's what he uses Fury on. Instead, he had to discard two Blammo cards the next turn. After playing those two Kapows on the second turn for 9 damage, he would've needed 13 damage to kill Kraken, and the hit from High Voltage took that down to 12. With 5 dice instead of 4, the turns are likely to shake out a bit differently and none of this is really certain because it assumes that the curses would've struck at the same times, he would've went for the same plays, and that Kraken plays out its turns the same assuming the rolls are identical and that the Kraken is programmed to play the same way, regardless of its health. Honestly, it gets real fuzzy after turn 2 and my brain is melting trying to handle the real-time calculations and simulations here, so I'm just gonna say that Egg might've missed lethal. _hey u stinky egg you missed a lethal lol_ PS if he were close enough for that Blammo card to kill him on the very last turn, he _absolutely_ should've used the burning dice. It would've been a 50/50 chance to roll a three or above, instead of hoping that the Kraken would fail to roll an even five times in a row. The extra health would probably be useless on the Rhino Beetle fight, because he's almost guaranteed to do more than two damage in a single turn due to Battle Axe.
NL says No point in shocking Fireman Then says he likes shocking fireman for one. Today's assessment: NL can't even read his own scrambled egg thoughts, let alone cards in the game
I feel like we're coming to the last leg of Dicey content. I'm sad that both Dicey Dungeons and Children of Morta are coming to an end around the same time. Hopeful to see some interesting games coming up to reinvigorate your channel after this NL. I enjoy your content.
It's not good to add singles of cards like Spatula into your deck even though you can use them with any dice, because if you have Snap active and you've used all your dice it could brick you. The way you win as the Jester is by making your deck as Snappable as possible. Obviously you can copy those cards later so you have doubles and make extra dice with Snap but until then they're not really doing anything.
NL plays jester with minimal focus on snapping. if he's going that route may as well take the dice manipulation until he learns that snapping more is way stronger.
@@tracyh5751That's a pretty bold statement. Considering I've beaten all 6 Jester episodes(all but episode 6 on the first try) I feel like I have some room to give advice. Obviously a single Spatula isn't going to be a problem. But when you have a Spatula and a single Subdivide and Hall of Mirrors it adds up to make your deck less efficient. Bump is an exception because you can make more dice with it even as a one off, plus it has the best Snap effect out of cards like it. You have to also keep in mind you get Duplicate/Subdivide put into your deck midway into a run, so you're always going to get pretty much the best dice manip anyway. Putting in Spatula just drags your deck down.
The problem NL is having is that he isn’t playing this like a card game. He just assumes purpose without actually reading the effect. When he plays sts, he reads everything carefully or at least tries to, but in Dicey he doesn’t even make that effort.
Uk I'll b honest I don't know from Playing dicey but ummm u can change an odd to even and even to odd bc 5 opposite side would be 2 but from where I'm at in vid like how it's gettin done NL
I’m guessing you have to play every episode six to get one actual ending. That’s kinda lame, I’d rather stick with the characters I like than be forced to use unfun characters.
Egg, Just a question here.... Why would you not want to shock the wizards cards? OH! I see..according to you , you don't want to shock his "dice". I can see now where 43 episodes in has brought out those high IQ plays..
Well because the Wizard has 6 options, so shocking one only has a 1 in 6 chance of actually making a difference. Sure, it’s huge if it hits, but it has such a high chance of doing absolutely nothing that it’s probably better to just deal guaranteed damage.
Shocking the wizard isn't too useful since there's only a 1/6 chance it's effective. The most likely outcome is that it shocks a piece of equipment the wizard wouldn't have been able to use anyway.
@@jackgraham5555 1/6 is higher than 0/6, but also your reply disregards that he has multiple cards that cause shock, not just one. It also disregards that not using shock effectively nerfs being able to deal damage and get a dice returned if enemy is shocked on another card, which is a wasted extra turn.
@@SakuraShirakawa I mean sure 1/6 has value, but in this instance I think NL made the right call by shooting for raw damage. If you waste the guy's turn, great! But each die you use to try and shock him is one you aren't using for damage. If he used all 3 dice to try and shock he would have a 50% chance to shut down the wizard but would have done a max of 4 damage (assuming ideal card draw). As is, NL averaged 5.6 damage a round (even with the wizard using teleport twice) and only took 9 damage. It was a very good fight.
@@jackgraham5555 While your reply is sound, and I replied because I love conversations, I should also note my first comment was meant to be a playful roast not of his not shocking the wizard, but of his reason why. Shock doesn't effect dice. Also with more thinking I see your point. If he had shocked, then got the c ard that returns dice after attack, it isn't an extra attack, it replaced the shock turn.
