    I've never been into small rc's but this one I like. I'm starting to realize small trucks open up new trails and lines that wouldn't even be an option for a 1/10th scale. I'm from FL. So we do a lot of trails, point to point driving, so this opens up a whole new set of trails within old trails.

      1/24 scale is a blast. Something we have really enjoyed with that scale is running lines in trees. Any tree, anywhere, that is at an angle of 50 degrees or less or any downed tree (large) offers so many challenges. It’s a blast. Of course rock is fun as well. 👍

  • @MauGino
    @MauGino 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I am liking the smaller scale stuff more and more. The capability for the scale, the upgrades and parts availability is making this so tempting to reduce my collection and go smaller. I kept hearing the music in the background and I thought it was my neighbors playing music.

    Received mine yesterday from Atees. It came in 10 days and the price was less than the other place. Love the truck, best mini crawler out of the box. (Have modified scx24, endero 24, ecx barrage). The mod scx24 c10 out climbs the Atlas mainly due to the tires, and brass accessories. Thanks for all the advice on your channel. My main reference.

    I love FMS Crawlers. I have three but you would have loved my Suzky Jimny 1/10 because it had a mind of its own. It started with going in reverse all of a sudden and then it started to go in whatever direction it wanted until it got to the stage where I could turn everything on and put the controllers down on the ground and sit bake and watch it do its own thing. I took a video of it and took the crawler and the video to the local RC store, and they contacted FMS and FMS told them they have never seen that happen before. I had to get everything replaced and of cause get a new controller which was a good thing in the end because it now has much better parts and will just about climb a tree if it could get the traction. I kept all the old parts because they were so unique. I had my very own Herby. It's a pity it didn't toot its horn at me. That would have been the icing on the cake.

    Somewhat impressed.
    I was happy to see another micro, and a 6x6?! Come Axial, you're slipping.
    But there are some crappy issues with this one, actually still a knockoff clone. An improvement, but they are still placating the market, instead of actually listening to micro enthusiasts.
    IMO Element totally blew it with the Enduro24, and this one is better, but NOT meeting Axial on the battlefield!
    Come on people, go to the forums, find out what needs to be improved, throw the damn rgt/barrage away forever, and compete with Axial!
    COMPLETE redesign, higher quality parts, and parts immediately available, lets go!

    I got this rig, its pretty nice but hoping you get a chance to do some upgrades. Its underpowered and yet still was able to turn the driveshaft into a Twizzler untill it snapped. Hoping they make steel ones soon. I heard this may share the same parts as the CR-18 but not positive the cr18 steel driveshafts are compatible with this. Has a lot of issues but I would say its worth it if its possible to install some metal upgrades and a 180 motor.

    The mini crawlers are like whoop drones, they are becoming more and more important then the big ones. The world is a more fun places when you can explore more with less. But everyone wanted to try only the fpv mode I made on them. They did not care much about line of sight. The world is amazing when riding this little rc cars. The great thing about this little crawlers, if that with fpv you can ride them outside the house from the comfort of you car or inside the house. And they can go long distance as well.

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup. Cheap to get in to and cheap to upgrade. The motors and tech will get better for sure.

    • @InteractiveDNA
      @InteractiveDNA 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RCReviewChannel What I notice is that big rc's people don't like them much, they are too noisy and some people like to ride them fast. That could hurt some people. The small crawlers everyone stops to see and they are amazed how they are driving by themselves. Just last week, a kid almost got hit be a fast rc. There is a cool factor about these small crawlers that brings attention vs big noisy cars. I will be doing some video tutorials in how to make this little cars fpv ready. When you go fpv, your world of rc's changed. You don't feel the same way anymore how to ride them. The problems that I see with fpv is because many try with crap googles and bad vtx video signal, but when you have a clear image that does not shake too much, they feels like you are driving a real car, you world of small crawlers doubles in fun time.

    • @curt248
      @curt248 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      InteractiveDNA how do you do fpv? How much does a decent setup cost?

    • @InteractiveDNA
      @InteractiveDNA 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@curt248 I have tried every setup out there and I design ai with autonomous cars and drones. Here is the best cheap setup for best FPV experience.
      What you need for the Crawler Great FPV setup with clear image:
      1. $16.99 Wolfwhoop WT02 600TVL Ultra Micro AIO Camera and 200mW
      2. $80 Eachine EV800D 5.8G 40CH Diversity FPV Goggles (If your vision sucks, you can buy spacers for Nearsighted vision, I am near sighed, so I got an spacer for $10 from eBay).
      3. $2 DC 4.5-24V 12V 24V Step Down to 5V Buck Converter
      4. $8 Tattu 7.4volts 800mAh lipo battery
      5. $1.49 AMASS XT30U Anti-slip Power Connector Plug Male and Female One Pair Black
      Step 1: One the Crawler, Cut OFF the Plug of the cable that the battery goes to. There is where you are going to replace with the Female XT30 plug.
      Step 2: When soldering the Female XT30 plug, make sure you have two extra cables (One Positive RED and One Negative Black) coming out of the female plug so it goes to the Step Down Converter. So, you can power the VTX camera from the battery. Got it?
      Step 3: I am assuming you have some basics of soldering and heat shrinks tubes to protect the negative an positive cable. Change the battery plug to the XT30 male plug. Always do the negative first whe soldering. I recommend silicon cable with 20AWG cable that goes from the Female XT30 to the Down Converter and from the Down Converter to the VTX.
      Step 4: After you have replace the Plugs, you need to change the power that is coming out of the DownCoverter to 5 volts by turning the little nub on the Buck Converter. Use a Power Meter for that. Make sure that the power that goes to the camera is vtx is 5 volts. The 7.4 volts goes to the crawler.
      Step 5: After you test that the crawler has power and the vtx/camera. Place the VTX right in the hood touching the window. So when you look in the googles (EV800D) You will see on the google like what you see on a real car. Placing the VTX on the right location is important to give the real feeling of driving a real car. I use PlasticWeld Epoxy Putty to hold the camera in place. Make sure when you are placing the camera on the car with Epoxy, power the camera and make any adjustment so the view on the google is right. Then power OFF and wait few hours before enjoying driving this amazing little crawler.
      I used to have a tons of tutorials in how to setup fpv on any thing. After I design me new logo I will do a tutorial in how I add fpv on the small scralers.
      I hope this helps!

    Hey, great videos, loads of info and very helpful!
    I'm taking the plunge in getting my first crawler. I don't want to spend ridiculous money but at the same time I have learned a few things from the bashers and that is you mas well spend a bit more to get something decent or you'll end up spending as much if not more on upgrades! Also, if you are getting one, you obviously want to at least keep up if not get the better of the other rigs you're out with. So, what is your opinion on this? After a load of research, I think I'm down to 3 options (although please mention something else if you feel it trumps them all). Axial Capra, probably a bit more than I wanted to spend initially but probably would justify it if it was the best for the money. Gmade Komodo/BOM, both the same from what I gather, just a preference of which looks you prefer? And finally, if I can find stock the Axial Scx10 Ii Deadbolt Rtr simply because it seems to be very good value for money? I'd prefer to spend somewhere in the £300 area but would step that up if it meant getting something better and the cost was therefore justified. Genuinely appreciate any input you can give as seem to be going round in circles now :)

      Ben Moen needs upgrades for drive shaft for main rear drive shaft. Twists something fierce.

      I suspect it may be US Customs delays also. I've been waiting months for my Bangood stuff, and my CR-24 was badly beat up. Hopefully they'll stock more models in the US warehouse. .

    How dare you question it being the best for under 150. Everything else blows it out of the water, it's a horrible crawler with terrible low speed control, no articulation, tires are poopoo, there's 0 upgrades for it besides putting parts on it from an scx24
