Where I get confused is when u refer to individual candles as a high or low being run. I thought only 3 candle formation swings could b run.

I have studied ICT for over a year now and still haven't cracked profitability, but It led me in the direction of simple price action. This course is perfect for how my mind works and how I see the charts. Thank you for putting your hard work out there for others to develop themselves in a more efficient way. I've definitely made my journey more difficult by trying to "know everything" and have adjusted my attitude to simply MAKE MONEY; As I was told in the Marine Corps: K.I.S.S.

Halfway through this video, wow thanks a lot Dave this is very helpful. Around 57:00 you mention gaining a microscopic view/ understanding of candlesticks and their structure. I am currently imagining the combination of using higher time frame PD arrays as based on ICTs's concepts, and then pairing that with your views on market structure down to the 1 minute. It seems like a combination that could be incredibly effective in the market......

Good stuff! I use this strategy to come in the market, take 600-800 bucks in 10-20 minutes, and get out. This strategy has made me more profitable over the long haul. Thanks Dave!
Do you exit (or exit a big portion of the trade) at around 20-30pips regardless?
@@thiruvaranganthirunimalan3289 I am basically using it for quick trades on a 1 minute timeframe. I'm not looking for a specific number of pips, or dollar amount, but for the price to go to a certain predetermined high or low on the M1 candle. Small, quick trades using 1 contract and yes, I get out regardless. I don't feel confident enough to hold for longer periods, even if I do feel that price is going continue to rise (or lower). If there is a price continuation, I will get in again. Most of my trades probably should be 1 trade, rather than 3 or 4...but I'm working on that. Plus, I work full time...I like to get in and get out.

I'm still watching through this so you may discuss this as it goes, but why would you not use renko or something similar to see pure structure? Or why not a volume bar chart to see pure volume with structure for high volume pockets to help validate high, lows and point of origin?

Hey Dave, how can i use candlestick structure on the 5 minute? It doesn't seem to transfer well outside of the 1 minute timeframe. Thank you!
You can use candlestick structure from the 12 month chart to a tick chart. It works on every timeframe. You have to backtest it to become familiar with it. This is how every timeframe you can trade flips
@@DaveTeaches I really believe the explanation on candlestick structure changed everything for me. It's what allows for high levels of precision, and keeps the stop loss tight. What was the moment for me was when you helped me realize that candlestick structure is market structure on a lower timeframe.
So seeing as I have a successful test of a 1m flip long from a 1hr POI imbalance I am now looking at the other tfs like 5m and 15m to see perhaps they will start the same thing now and then I can see if the same trade can be taken on these. then the 1hr will do it too. So I wonder could we take it from the 1m and have multiple trades going up the tfs. I'm not too sure, tie myself up in knots sometimes like I know that a whole 3-4 day reaccumulation can be only a last point of supply on a 4hr so it's interesting.

i watched the whole course once already and im here to watch all for the second time. trading is hard. i think you know that since day one. dave is a good man and his stuff is amazing. of course the longer you watch the deeper it gets. try not to overcomplicate it. most important : take notes so you dont just think about the last video you saw. keep on it mate

Interest. I know you just want to be careful, but I called the SEC and asked them if I could give advice about investing/trading etc and they said I could give people information as long as I am not getting any type of compensation. I don't have a youtube channel and I'm not licensed so I guess since you have a youtube channel and inadvertently get paid from advertisement from the ads on your channel, that could may be considered compensation but I don't know for sure. Just mentioning what they told me because I often talk to people and give them advice to help them grow their wealth and how to get started investing.

And with your strategy I can be wrong 15 times and still not blow my account. Tell me, is time important in your strategy? Or we just focus on the pattern regardless of the time.
I’m confused sometimes you take a trade on a retracement but the high or low that is broken before the retracement is with a wick not a full body closure. Is that not a weaker setup?
The high or low isn't broken unless it's a full body closure. It hasn't been broken if it's just the wick - that's manipulation (hunting liquidity).

you got me so confused @18:00. Why we need to close above a high and then run the low to sell the pull back? When Rejection block is formed, we dont close above that anymore but we still go lower after taking the low and retesting it or mitigating it.

Why was 18:42 the low?
You have a conflict on your two videos regarding how lows/highs are taken out. One says it needs to be a body of a candle, yet here in this video you are clearly showing wicks are validating high/low breaks. Can you or one of your students please clarify which candle formation creates a valid high/low break. Thank you.

@@IamLaR1 not sure when it happened, but it seems like in the series Dave was a much less cynical person. It feels like he has become more defensive and perceives questions as attacks more than a geniuine question.
@@LDizon @DaveTeaches LD...I have to admit that unfortunately I allowed my ego to get to me when responding to Dave, and I am leaving it up to remind myself that I need to be better. I understand why Dave responded the way he did, though as a Coach myself, I would have simply said "thanks for the question...you are on the right track. If you backtest, you will earn the answers for yourself and that will be more valuable". Just different ways of teaching I guess. I have since been grinding on his stuff and taking notes. I am a profitable trader and really enjoy learning other info, and I actually believe Dave's stuff is some of the best around. God bless you and Dave. I think he is doing GODS WORK.
