The design looks good this year. SP's are hard to see sometimes. Look for pitchers throwing a snowball, candy cane bats, Christmas light necklace, ice skate for shoes, Santa hats, stuff like that. Rare SP's will be flipped over.
19 is regular SP and 20 is the super rare SP

In Topps when your card is backwards in the pack, it’s a short print, that’s how you tell from Topps
I pulled the Julio Rodriguez SP from update and it wasn’t backwards though 🤔
@@skybcards ok my bad I just found out the short prints on the back of the card on the bottom where there is numbers, the last 2 numbers of it is a 19 it’s a short print, if it’s a 20 it’s a rare, if it ends in a 21 it’s a super short print! Also the Juan Soto short print not only ends in 19, on the front of the card he has Christmas lights around his neck instead of a necklace
@@skybcards the common cards will just end with the number 11 on the back of the card
But the rare (end in 20) and super short prints (end in 21) will be upside down in the packs
811=Base
819=SP
820=SSP
821=SSSP
I hope that helps and they are usually the 5th card in the pack.

On the pena the RC is o different sides. Got some of the 2020 and 2021 holidays boxes to open this year. If fun when you see the candy canes, santa hats or skates on the players. Something nice to have on your desk.

The best part besides being a fun rip is like how Topps Update or Traded use to be back in the day that came out towards the end of the season you get players who were traded or called up, not waiting till next year to get them on the new teams. Since I was a kid collecting in the 80s Topps always throws in the SP. gotta pay attention and go over every card. Great video. Thanks for sharing 👊✌️

811 is base , 819 is SP, 820 is Rare SP, and 821 is Ultra Rare SP
you can tell short prints by the code number on the bottom the at the back of the card, the last 2 or 3 are the ones you want to look at, if the numbers are different then base they are short prints
Which is my favorite thing to do after ripping Topps products, panini should take note!
The difference on those doubles is the players sleeve it’s got Xmas stuff on it

My first time ripping topps Holiday was last year and I think it’s a fun rip considering Christmas is around the corner. I’m definitely hoping to find some in the wild but thank you for sharing a look into what to expect out of this years Box. AND THE price is just unbeatable in retail these days!

I ordered 5 off Walmart website Wednesday evening when they dropped. Sold out fairly quickly which wasn’t the case in previous years.

The trophy cup usually comes on the players 2nd season card.

Like the wander- he played a handfull of games in 2021, although he didnt have any 2021 rcs
Theres no specific rule that i know of but kinda generally speaking the gold cup shows up on 2nd year cards
Topps variations are found by a set of numbers in BOLD BLACK on the back of the card in the fine print at the bottom

In the first pack you pulled a Suzuki look at his socks. They are candy cane, that’s a short print. To verify look at the back code to match the other cards.
In the second pack the Mccuchin has a sleeve like a candy cane also

In this product B it’s all about the short prints or an auto. You have to look out for candy cane bars, socks, belt, . Santa belt, elf skates, Christmas light laniards. A Santa or a snowman in the background. That’s what have been in the past years, not sure what they’ve included this year.
Yeah all of my SP’s were on the players uniform which made it pretty obvious going back. I’m not sure of anything that’s been added because it’s my first year ripping but definitely a fun rip 🔥
Not a bad deal for the price, don't collect too much baseball but this year has seen some nice stuff come out and these seem pretty loaded!

@@skybcards, fun video! I found an easy way to pronounce Tampa Ray Randy Arozarena( a rose arena)! Lol. The Wander "Rookie Gold Cup" card is fairly rare because most of the gold cup cards show up the next year, so not all of the rookies have them. I know Ryan Mountcastle's was one of them last year as was Yordan Alvarez in '20 Topps. Nice pulls, man! Enjoyed it!

The SP's always have a Christmas thing about them. Like a bat is a candy cane or the player is wearing a Santa hat etc. You gotta look close. The Metallic cards are called "Snowflake variants"

Holiday is nice, but it would be better if they used different pictures for the Holiday version. BTW - Topps Baseball - numbers are usually on the back of the card, under the card number. Short Print Code reference. CMP Codes: Base (#811), SP (#819), Rare (#820), Super Rare (#821).
