3:23 making your own sound effects makes the combos deal more damage. This has always been known and I’m glad it’s still implemented in full effect to this day. Just like leaning with your whole body when playing a racing game. 😁
Fighting games on PC really need to start having benchmark tests before it allows people to netplay. Ultra Street Fighter 4 on PC had a benchmark test before it lets you play online. And that was on garbage delay base netcode. 😂
Ultra Street Fighter IV on PC… me on the West Coast of USA only ever able to find matches with people in Brazil, Japan and the UK. Truly a nightmare me experience.
Not just bad internet, but also bad PCs. People are still running cpus and gpus that are pushing 7-8 years old and that especially effects games with rollback. I'm looking specifically at the people who are still rocking a 1st/2nd gen ryzen or an 8th/9th gen intel core processor in 2024.
it's not that their internet is bad. it's two main reasons. 1. people are running low delay on pc's not powerful enough for low delay. if you're PC wasn't top spec in the past few years. quit tripping and bolster that shit up to 5/6 delay. 2. the pings are very weird in VF5FS. people i get 15ms in KOF i'm getting 140ms + in the beta. so for sure something is going on in segas end. hope they resolve it. the best FG of all time deserves it.
Depends on whether or not R.E.V.O is still utilizing the server based infrastructure that Ultimate Showdown did on top of the RollBack I guess? That's the only thing I can think of that could add ping like that off the top of my head
@@Brick_Eater_ because rollback is based on the game generating frames based on prediction. Then skipping into animations if needed. As a result rollback is far more intensive to add to a game than delay netcode. Not to mention this is a remake. It’s like asking why I can’t run silent hill 2 remake on my ps2.
The Mike Tyussy Man hitting the VF streets. I'm behind it. Also, come on now, the middle of nowhere Idaho doesn't use powerlines. There ARE no power lines in the middle of nowhere Idaho. They use 100Kbit satellite internet. (I live in Idaho (not the middle of nowhere though (I promise)).
You know I gotta stick to the script, sorry lol Also no shade on Idaho I had to pick a random flyover state and this time it was Idaho. I'm sure it's nice there
@doogies Idaho is absolutely a valid choice, because the state is 99% middle-of-nowhere. Very gorgeous though. But as the official rep for the state, let the record show that I run wired gigabit on my PS5.
I didn't know this was only gonna last so long, in the time it took me to download the game and get ready to play it I had to fix a key cap on my keyboard and by that point it was like 12:20 something and I couldn't even play it. So tragic
I seriously did not have the slightest bit of trouble online, sure every once in a blue moon there was a little bit of rollback stutter, but this has been, without a doubt, my smoothest experience in a fighting online, this netcode is wonderful! if the final product will be even better, I'm going to spend A LOT of time on it, as this is already one of my favorite games ever made, the only issue honestly? is the lack of players throughout those 5 days, I was barely matched with anyone, so I had like, less than 120 matches, which meant I couldn't get to Hunter unfortunately...ended up 10th dan 😓
I wish I had more time to play the beta. But overall. I had fun with it and I'm glad that the game is finally coming to PC and with Rollback now. Hoping that they don't nerf the Eileen 1P + 1K stagger lol.
Yeah there are people with terrible connection, but the netcode has some syncing issues for sure. I ran into way too many people where the first round was a teleporting nightmare even at 80 ping, but the rest of the match was fine. It remind me of the SF5 netcode where you would just desync on a rollback from the opponent and the round was unplayable after that.
There is definitely a void to fill in the competitive 3D fighter market since Soul Calibur is stuck in limbo about getting a creative director who will take the position. Another factor that’s debatable depending on who you ask, Tekken is flying off the lane of being a 3d martial arts-oriented fg when half the cast are anime characters w/ chainsaws, bears, laser shooting devils, & now Clive with his special summon Ifrit. Ppl can dunk on Lidia being a mid character or a knockoff Tifa all they want but she’s the last hoorah for a pure, down-to-the-T martial art based new fighter for Tekken so if others (myself included) want to have that fighter interaction again but have to play another game to do so (especially without cheap bailout mechanics like Heat & Rage Arts), we’ll happily go elsewhere
@Sumblueguy41 thats all fine and dandy but i wonder just how many upset tekken bros will be even willing to buy the new game i heard this open beta didnt do that well in numbers
Looks like VF already has its own hardcore crowd that are eagerly awaiting the next game. I think the main thing that they're gonna have to solve is the question of how they will be able to attract the casuals for it (probably Yakuza guest characters as a first step). That's what Tekken has been successful at so far.
"your internet is bad" tell 'em king
Gotta keep it 100 like lily Phillips. It's no disrespect
Great Engrish
@@doogiesDamn the Lily Philips reference lmao
Finally, my years of playing Virtua Fighter for Yakuza 100% completions will pay off. Thank you RGG for preserving history.
What a goat thumbnail
GGs
Let's run it back in full release

It's true
Gotta enjoy Lau while we can, aint no way he's alive after a 20 year timeskip.
20 years? Where'd that come from
@iskanderrg I mean the story might not have progressed exactly 20 years but Akira is notably older and lau already has a foot in the grave as of 5
yep, and pai will get some of his moves
Good thing is, it's a video game, so if anyone can beat father time, it's game characters. 😀
If ukyo still kicking lau good I think
Nah that transition was slick as hell at 3:57 into the Turtles theme after the ringout. Editor deserves a raise!
Oh his outro is from a TMNT game? Always been curious where it was from
I love watching people enjoy VF.
2:30 holy, most games have a maximum ping before forced disconnect, that's wild
I hope to Virtua Fight with you all in January
I ♥ the thumbnail with the VF KIDS version of Shun! 😂
The coolest name for a youtube channel

I think KI had something like that.

@ yea I had the same suspicion. There is nothing I could find confirming it doe
this game is 20 years old why does it need top specs lmao

@Shodan130
All true, but this game can run well enough on a Steam Deck so its not THAT demanding
Ppl just gotta change settings
3:31, my friend used to mess me up with that PPP2K and the lllllAAAAAHH.
When it lands it feels good
Never played a VF, been getting into fighting games this last year. Hyped to give it a try
Def an old game and feels like it but that's lowkey kinda refreshing in this era
2:33 This is a real experience when you face a martial artist from a different planet.
Lil Bussy Mane gatekeeping VF6!! 👀.....
Any vid where Obama is just genuinely having fun is a W.
The beta was mad fun, I'm hoping we get all the customization and any refinements they need to do with the rollback in the full release next month.
I agree, the beta was pretty fun, we'll see what they do in the full release
The real question is how that 1400ms ping match only had 6f of rollback

What a joy
Mike Tysussy Lau Chan is quite the mental image
oof...flashbacks of the linksys router
If you have never prayed for one to work properly, then you were born in the 21st Century.
The return of lil bussy man?
I like the edits very nice gang gang
What happened to the ping? A bird or squirrel touched the soldering. That stuff is thin and very breakable.
I am always down for Majin Obama dunking on betas.
Love this game
Quadruple digit ping has go against the Geneva convention or sumn 😭
What a fucking profile name 😂
the juggle combos look sick in this game and a lot less obnoxious than tekken
Overall simpler and strangely faster, though TECHNICAL
I didn't know this was only gonna last so long, in the time it took me to download the game and get ready to play it I had to fix a key cap on my keyboard and by that point it was like 12:20 something and I couldn't even play it. So tragic
If you can't wait January , ask a friend to share his PS4/PS5 account , the game was in PS+.
Not the Linksys 😭
Stage got hands too
As a Tekken hater this might end up being my best timeline.
I needs that Majin Konbini shirt can we get one in blue gatorade?

It's a beta. Hopefully they can tweak
i cant see vf and not think of sega saturn.
Bro some of these PINGS what are they doing trying to play online
Lol the vf beta was so damn fun imma cry when I have to uninstall it
I just hate the hit sounds in this game & that's my only complaint I have about this game
It's a 20 year old game with 30 year old sound effects. I'm trying to see how they change the new game
@doogies DAMN 😱😱😱 And you're right but for second I forgot who I was talking to so I should've already known you was gonna keep it 💯 😂😂😂
I thought that this game was supposed to be more like realistic then Tekken. The knockdown animation is killing me 😅
I love the "beta" cope
?
i just worry that vf will barely be able to sell copies and thrive since its been away so long and tekken is so damn big now

VF already got a niche carved out for it, just by the response to the beta i can see VF thriving again
Stop attaching VFs success or failure on tekken. Part of the problem is it needs to carve out a new scene

Bold to assume that he even got a router.
