Stewart Golf: Coming soon!
Please keep this series going, Pete! Your quest for the Open series is some of the best content on TH-cam.
Agree it’s brilliant for us amateurs to live vicariously through our TH-cam content creator’s experiences. Golf is tough and Pete (Rick et al) are masters of their trade, aka golf entertainment. Well done Pete.
You really believe that?
Mate.. it's the "quest" for the open! A "quest" by definition is "a long or arduous search for something", and that is exaclty what it was! If you give up now it would totally defeat the purpose. Keep going mate, I love seeing the tough and frustrating rounds as much as the comfortable 5 under rounds you shoot elsewhere. Keep it real!
Exactly….I do too
You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, and I thank you for posting this and being transparent. Some of the best golfers in the world (JT, Rickie, etc) have rounds where they struggle to break 80 and feel like they’re never going to play well again. You’ve shown that you can play great golf. Keep your head up and remember what Paddy said. We’re all rooting for you!
Yes but JT, Rickie etc.. can shoot 7 under on tougher courses the next day, It’s just different standard. That being said, it was just a bad day. Watching Rick and Pete’s regional qualifying vlogs just showed that the nerves were too much on the day. Not that we would be any different though I’m sure. The tour pro’s are just mentally built different.
Good effort though Pete.
@andrewbarrow1983 you must be fun at parties
@@samuelmcmillan8564 😂😂
For me, the video you filmed with Padraig alone made the whole series worth it in terms of information you're passing on (but there was so much more as well). I'm sure the overwhelming majority of your subscribers would love you to try to qualify again next year but YOU have to be enjoying your golf as that's probably the most important message you can pass on to all of us. Really admire your honesty and bravery in putting this experience out there. Keep up the good work !
I walked round the course following you. The pressure must have been intense. Having seen the other TH-cam golfers Open videos, it appears that you had a lot more people following you, which is testimony to the content you produce. The filming lads were a credit to you too. They didn't interfere and were happy to talk to everyone, as were you when things weren't going your way.
Keep going Pete 💪🏻
I shoot so much better when on my own. Even playing with work mates I drop a ton of shots, let alone Open qualifier and loads of people.
I'd encourage Pete to invite fans to watch next year's lead-up to qualifying. Get used to his fans and no doubt he'll be better with this Yr under his belt
Pete invited people to go and watch. Rick did not
@@peep5118Rick did, he invited people on one of the the podcast episodes the other week. Thats not me slandering either Rick or Pete by the way, I love watching both of them and really hope Pete does this again! 🏌🏽Rick said in last weeks podcast he wants to commit to doing it for the next 5 years as well👌🏼
Don't get yourself down Pete, you've been an inspiration for many of us this year, highlighting your highs and lows only shows the strength and resolve you have to live and learn. We are all enjoying your content always
The quest for the open was THE BEST golf content on TH-cam. Please keep going! The more you do the qualifying the less big it will feel. Keep it up guys! ❤
Pete, Rick, Matt and Andy need to sit down on a podcast and speak about their experiences during open qualifying
MF got a hole in one, that will be an interesting feeling to express
The four of them need to stop posting for a while and dig it in the dirt
Wow made a comment on MF's hole in one and got deleted
4 of them coundn't win the sunday medal
Pete , please don't question yourself and ask what's the point. I love watching your videos. The presentation is first class and you give everything to your audience. Keep going and look forward to the next video. PS I'm based near troon so hopefully see you at the Open ⛳️
Pete, your channel has helped me start playing again after a few years break, so thank you. Your Open quest did not go where you or us viewers wanted but you have given us great insight, help and guidance in many ways, so take on that positivity that you show to us to achieve whatever your next quest will be and also you like us should take on the great feed back from other players and one top example is Mr Harrington, that shows you have the game
Pete, seeing a golfer of your quality go through the same struggles, technically and mentally as us amateurs, while also talking it all through with your audience is very uplifting. Thanks for all the effort you put into entertaining your fans, we appreciate you. Bad days happen, your game is ever improving, you will be back better than ever. We believe!
Pete, DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! I love watching you golf and think you still have pro time ahead! An 83 is awesome no matter who you are. I think everyone would agree you are an exceptional golfer bro.
Yes please @peterfinchgolf , do it again next year.
An excellent process with enough ups along the way to be net positive in spite of the big down.
Better luck, and fortitude, next year 🙏
Needs to spend a considerable amount of time working on psychology if you ask me, that seems to be missing.
One thing I really loved about this video was the absolute support and vibes you were getting from your team - what a bunch of legends you have with you!
Keep going Pete - your videos are a joy to watch, and this one was the same 👍🏻
Man I think the fact that you feel an urge to give up trying for it based on the result is definitely a sign that you absolutely should try again in order to try to overcome. If anything, for your own sanity. I loved watching this series. Would be even more invested next year
This series has been must watch for me this year. I’m literally on vacation in Japan and was constantly checking for when the video would post. Super bummed that you had such a bad day. Mainly because you are such a great guy and I really rooted for you to do well. But, no matter what, I think the way you handled the quest to the open series has been top notch! Get ‘em next year!!
Completely get how you must have felt/feel Pete. You have zero to apologise for and despite the clear pain and embarrassment you feel at this time, those of us who follow you closely, know how you can and have performed this passed year.
You are an excellent flag bearer for the YT golf space and communicate to your audience in a way that is clear and unequivocal … so refreshing in amongst some of the hype and tosh blurted out on numerous other channels.
May your wounds heal quickly and (as I’m sure you will) return with renewed faith in the fact that people really enjoy what you do.
You’re a highly capable golfer and together with your great team, produce some of the best content on the platform. Hang in there mate 😘
Every single one of us has had one of those rounds that must be endured, rather than enjoyed. Feel your pain Peter. Incredibly brave to share this hard experience with your followers and I hope you can find strength in you to try again next year. You are a terrific golfer, trying to achieve every Golfer's dream. Please keep the content going.
Can I just say….. Thank you.
Thank you for producing the content you and your team do. Thank you for entertaining us every week without fail. Thank you for showing us your highs but also your lows.
Those of us who are your fans… this hurt for us as much as it did you. We want to see you thrive!!! And although in the open qualifier that wasn’t the case….. this year you have thrived.
This year you have brought us some outstanding golf… some fantastic content and took your following on a spectacular journey.
The quest for the open wasn’t a failure… it was a resounding success that has left me wanting to see you push through this and with the advice of the greats you have played with…. Come back stronger next year.
Thank you Pete and the team for all the content this year so far! I can’t wait for wherever the journey takes us! Where that is…. Who knows…. But what I do know is we are all here as fans willing you to succeed.
Still my favorite you tuber Pete! Golf humbles everyone. Not many can put them selves out there the way you guys do. I’ll never quit watching your content! Never quit on yourself Pete! You’re a hell of a golfer and even more, a hell of a man! Thanks for giving me something to route for!
Pete, you are one of (if not) my favorite Golf TH-camrs. Your videos show the good and bad of everything, and that's why I watch everything you put out. Your Quest for the Open series is def a top favorite, and seeing you play both good and bad inspires me to push my game to the next level.
Thank you for everything you do and I will continue to support your channel and this amazing series. On to the next!
Pete, do continue this series. The golf you've played this year and will continue to play has been great. The tips on the mental side of the game have been great for us all, so don't stop here!
Pete, please keep going. This is golf and humanity in a nutshell, bite down hard and go again. This community will follow your redemption and lift you shoulder high when (not if) it arrives. Top man.
You absolutely have to continue this. It’s the best series on TH-cam . You’re so relatable and I love that you wear your heart on your sleeve, letting us all know how you feel when you’re under that pressure. One day you’ll get through Regional and it’ll be the best video you’ve ever made!
Super courageous to post this. EVERY golfer (scratch...pro...10 handicap) has been through this. Part of the curse of this game we love :) Carry on!
You are one of my favorites on youtube. Like so many others, I would encourage you to not give up on the open. Ive really enjoyed the series. I cant even imagine the pressure you felt on that first tee. I know that once my confidence goes, I'm in trouble. I feel for you brother, I really do. You are sooooo much better than you think. Please hang in there and keep fighting. This experience, although horrible, you will learn from it. I wish you all the best..
This is the MOST touching of all of your videos. You're right... Worst round at the worst time. I'm still insanely jealous of your golf swing. I stand on the course picturing your swing any time I'm feeling a little skittish. That has not changed one bit after watching this.
Tempo town
This series was awesome to watch. Including both the ups and downs. It was really good seeing you reflect on your experience at qualifying. I know I definitely relate. Thank you for being you, your content and personality are one of a kind and we all support you.
Pete, there are a lot of people here who are so impressed by your play and continued effort. It is remarkable how well you have done in your golfing journey. Head up and keep it up. We are here for it, and you, my friend!!! Great job, no matter the outcome.
Omg that "please go in"! I so felt for you matey! if golf wasn't hard we wouldn't all play...it is definitely a quest!
Definitely continue. Takes guts to film especially if it doesn’t go your way. But watching the journey is highly entertaining. Nobody else is doing this.
I think this is the first comment I've ever made on YT, but felt compelled to after watching that. Keep going Pete! I look forward to every episode and every tournament you play in - the journey to trying to qualify for a big professional event is something that many of us want to do, but never will, for various reasons (mostly because we hit the pill all over the place!). Personally I want to see you in more tournaments! You have the game, you've proven that - you nearly qualified for Myrtle Beach - I have no doubt you'll qualify for The Open or another big event, given more and more exposure in high-pressure moments. Love the series, keep it up mate!
This is by far the episodes I look forward to the most. The thought that you could make it to the open, a mere mortal like the rest of us is so inspiring! Please dont give up!
Also, absolutely fantastic job on the editing, the mood of the music and just the right amount of commentary - top, top work guys 👍
Thank you sir
It's been a cracking series, and great watching you on this journey. Golf's tough and it's obvious that these pressured situations really can throw a spanner in the works. I'd love to see you develop your mindset over the next 12 months, and give it another go. You're obviously a cracking player. Can you conquer those nerves and show all of us some tips and tricks to lower the anxiety we all feel on the tee box.
Before I watch this, I’m so happy that you tried. And we watched.
This series has been great and I've enjoyed getting a notification about a new video being up because I know I'm going to enjoy it. All of the videos have been great to watch and just seeing how you planned everything out really helped with my 3 and 6 month plans for my golf. Looking forward to the Record Breakers video you mentioned, another one of my favorite series on TH-cam. I know a few of you were all doing the quest for the Open videos, next year it would be great if you and Matt at least could maybe do some of these videos together, and you need to get Padraig Harrington back on the channel! Some of the best advice I have heard and it has changed my mental game so much.
Unlucky Pietro - qualifying is always tough.
Keep your chin up man, don't let a bad round define your game.
Big props for filming and posting this Peter. It's just golf. We can be playing so well and then suddenly it all goes south for a bit. You've got a lot of game. Keep chasing these tournaments. There is no substitute for experience. You tempo was a little quicker than your normal and that is understandable given the pressure and your swing feeling out of sync. You've got a lot of fans. Thanks for posting and keep up the good work.
I know that this will hurt to watch, but, Pete, you’re an inspiration to me on the course. Thanks so much for trying.
It hurt me more trust me
@@peterfinchgolf One bad round doesn't define you. Those who truly supported you on the day will feel the same way! There are so many worse things in life than having a bad round. Atleast you get to play golf and will continue to do so. Some arent as fortunate such as people with disabilities or other situations. All Iam saying is just be grateful for what you have. Luv your content, you are a legend in my eyes!
Seriously Pete, you took us through an amazing journey. Honest, genuine and funny at times. We as golfers understand these times of woe, so nothing to be ashamed of. This was a journey, and I honestly enjoyed every single minute of it. If you have the energy, please keep this going. It’s superb content ❤
Keep your head up Pete. Golf is a tangible representation of life. Some good and some not so good but we get up every day and get to work. Don't let your efforts and attitude be the reason it doesn't happen.
Very well said.
The quest for the open series has been just that: the quest - coming along for the ride to see everything you've done to prepare to the qualification: building the bag, the comps, the training - it's been a great journey to watch. The destination not being qualification doesn't erase all the value and enjoyment of the journey. Really hope to see the series again next year. Good luck with your game Pete!!
Onwards mate, production was unreal on this 👏
Thank you!!
@@lifebymickw THE Editor!! Great job man, loved the music choice. Any chance you can tell me what song it is at 17:42?
The music which started at 17:20 was so well chosen. I too would like to know what it is.
Horrendous! Very Brave putting this video out. That wasn't Pete playing out there. It was a shadow. 😢
This is the best golf series on TH-cam. Shame about the result but I really appreciate the hard work, honesty and will keep following hoping the normal you turns up in qualifying next year
"Golf is played in the 6 inches between your ears".
I’ve got a big head
@@peterfinchgolf Ok, golf is played in the 14.5 inches between your ears. That explains the hook.🙂
Great that you made this video, I see this defines golf! It's a mental game, so hard! Great series Pete, keep doing it! Really enjoyed the series! 💪🏻
Pete, Don't ever give up on this mate. Keep trying and you will get there. Your quest is one of the best things i have seen on You tube. Chin up, shake it off and go again buddy. Congrats on getting this far this time. Well done! 👍👍🫶🫶
This is so relatable to probably most of the watching audience. Playing seriously well in the build up and then having a complete anomaly round that can’t be explained. Hats off to you for putting yourself through this experience though Pete. When you said you ‘hated yourself’…. that very saddening to hear, but again very relatable. Great to hear that you have received lots of encouragement though. We all know this isn’t the round you/we wanted but you give so much to us all with your entertaining content and that’s why everyone wants you to go again. You’re almost doing this for us all pal, so learn from this one and go fight another day 💪🏼
Good for you for posting this pete...your right, the mental side is so important. Dont give up, your a talented golfer and I'm sure all will come good.
Pete watching you practice and grind to get to open qualification has been some of your best stuff. Your nerves are what a lot of us experience every time we play golf or look like we are going to break 90. Keep the great work going and roll on next year ⛳️🏌♂️👍🏻
I’ve played this game for about 30 years Pete and your content this year really reignited my passion for golf. To put yourself out there is tough but at least you had a good go at it. Anyone who has played the game knows it is a cruel mistress at times especially when we really want to do well. How we bounce back is a test of character. Keep going 💪💪
Keep The Quest going Pete, these are great videos and show everyone just how hard it is, just because your a pro doesn't mean golf is easy.
From the mental side of things, all golfers go through this (I know I have) whether is a new golfer playing in their comp, monthly medal, playing a club chamionship or even Open qualifying this would be a great opportunity to reflect with a mental coach of how to make things better for everyone.
Keep up the excellent work, we all feel your pain, so a massive thank you for being so insightful about your journey 👏🫶
Peter I'm relatively new to your channel the last year or so. Cannot tell you how classy a golfer and person you are, have enjoyed every moment of your journey, and the fact you had this round is just testimony to why golf is so challenging and frustrating. I think you're a class act to actually still post this video, talk about it, and share your emotions with us all. It's what makes you phenomenal to watch, and what makes us all love this dumbass game so much. Don't let it get you down, we're all massively rooting for you!
Great effort Pete. Please keep the series going. You are a joy to watch and help countless people enjoy the game.
Your content and your channel stand out so uniquely superior to all others, the best golf channel on the whole internet. You are a fantastic golfer and we who watch you and support you are 100% behind you, wishing we could do more for you, because what you give to us is GOLD. Worth more than all other channels combined. You play real golf, really gritty mental stuff, and more than any other TH-cam golfer, you have worked and improved yourself for us to see in ways that will remain inspirational. Take a breath, walk away for a head moment, come back, resilient like you have always been, taking on this phenomenon you have created, which we love, you.
Really enjoyed this video and Rick's video of the Open. We all appreciate your commitment to the game we love.
Pete, i love this series. It has encapulated the game of golf perfectly. We all know what an inconsistant game it is to play. I only dream that my really bad days are 10 over. I hope you all carry on with this journey as i personally will enjoy watching you, and chin up, even on a bad day there are worse things you could be doing.
Loved this series. Would love for you to bring it back. I think more of the same! The biggest thing I took from this and is important to remember is no matter how much prep, work, and effort you put in…. Sometimes golf wins. The reason we put in effort is to try and win more often than we lose. Accept the loses and enjoy the wins. You’ll get ‘em next year Pete! Head high!
Have loved watching this series all the way from China. was pulling so hard for you and so sorry it didn’t work out for you, but don’t give up! The series has shown me so much (as a v high handicapper). Even was quoting your/paddy’s ‘are you so arrogant’ yesterday as I was playing. Go again next year Pete, we all know you can make it!
As others have pointed out, a quest is defined by hardship sometimes. You’re putting yourself out there and that’s inspiring even with failures. Failure is an excellent teacher, and you’ve got the right mechanics to execute. Stay the course, difficult rounds are tough to recover from so take some time and come back. We all love this game for a reason. You’ll find it again soon.
Cheers!
No doubt about it, this series needs to continue. As a person who beats themselves up mentally, for the littlest mistakes on the course, this episode is absolutely needed. Seeing how you work through, learn, grow, and ultimately succeed (which WILL happen) is invaluable to someone like me. Putting yourself out there as an example of what it takes to do things like qualify, is admirable, especially when golf kicks you in the goolies. 😁 Thank you for helping me (and so many others) learn and grow along with you.
Pete . . . PLEASE . . . keep the Quest for the Open going! I’ve been watching for years and this was your best showing yet! You’re SO close to putting it all together. I think your video with Podrick was a turning point for you. But it’s going to take time. You have the game in the bag. You just need it in your head now too. You CAN DO THIS!! Keep it going! We all are pulling for you!! 🏁🏁
Deffo keep it going. Really enjoy all your content for its genuine realism and how things sometimes go your way and sometimes they don’t! Keep up the great work!
Pete your such an inspiration to myself and hundreds of thousands of other golfers out there. Your the reason i got into golf and love this sport. Be proud of who you are and keep your chin up lad. All the team have absolutely smashed this series, editing has been brilliant. Think u all deserve a spa break!
Don't give up Pete, we always love to see you on the course, whatever the result is. We will always support you, you're the best.
I've loved the quest for the open series and it's great to get an insight into what goes on, so yes you must carry on every year doing this, just think how you would have felt if you had qualified. So chin up Pete and this time next year we'll still be supporting you. Remember a bad day at the golf course is better than a day at work.
This was probably your best video yet! It was really great to see your honesty in both your play and breakdown of how you played & felt. A true glimpse into what golf really is for the average individual. Keep up the great work!
I was one over par yesterday and hit a 65m wedge 20m long onto the bar terrace to double bogey the last. Golf is hard, dealing with failing is even harder. We all learn from your experiences, Peter, so thanks for sharing your journey. You were magnanimous and gracious in defeat, and honestly, that alone is enough to inspire (and stopped me breaking my wedge over my knee). Thank you! Keep on keeping on!
Wow, this really encapsulates the game of golf. The video was incredibly well done! Look at all the sweet touchy chip shots you executed along the way. Your mental fortitude was impressive, the way you were able to work towards a positive mental space for the final holes. That can be harder than executing golf shots. Would love to see you attempt this again, after having had this experience.
Brilliant vid Pete and so good to see your honesty. You definitely need to keep the Quest for the Open series going as this is some of the best golf content on You Tube! Seeing it build over the moths with your planning chart and ticking off achievements is compelling viewing.
I think it would be good to engage a proper mental coach similar to Wyndham Clarke (before his US Open win). I think they might help you to stay with the process rather than getting involved with the outcome?
Put this year's experience in your mental locker and draw on that for next year.
The Quest continues...😀👍🏆👏
17:23 Oh Pete! I feel you man, this game is a monster I’ve often had those rounds after playing so well before and walking away feeling like crying 😭 😂. Such a weird feeling knowing how much money, practice and effort we put into the game and it work out like that can be so defeating. But hey! Still going to turn up the next day and play again. Love all your content. Onto the next challenge!
As always love the honesty here in this video! I remember watching the video you did when you announced you weren't going to do open qualifying last year, because you said you struggled with the pressure on top of the filming etc. and it feels like this may have been a part of the reason! I've loved this series, but seeing how much you were clearly upset and struggling was tough! The way you wear your heart on your sleeve is one of the many reasons you're the only golf TH-camrs I regularly watch now, but if you're going through this much it's not fair on yourself! But you do whatever makes you happy Pete and I'll still watch every video!!
This old man from St. Louis Missouri loved the qualifying for the open series. Keep it going.
Pete takes huge balls to play. I twitch at a local club champs! You are an awesome golfer… loved watching this and I honestly can see you in the open one year… baller 😍😍
Dont give up Pete. I look at your channel before i play for inspiration above all other golf you tubers… we need you!
Golf is hard and it humbles people at all levels. Anyone competitive (your club championship, county medal, or Quest for the Open) has had days (not just one day :D) like that. We could all feel your heartache and the applause is real. Keep the head up Mr. Pete!
This series has been absolutely amazing. Don't give up on your dreams or this series! It has been amazing watching the process you've followed. Results can never be controlled in golf (look at Rory) but if you follow the right process, the good rounds will come.
Please go again next year! I loooove these series!
I know this wasn't the result you were looking for but this give a real life view of how things go when you want to level up your game!
This series was absolutely class please do it again I learnt so much from it and also was able to translate it over to tennis another mental sport don’t stop now you’re so close
Bad rounds happen to the best Pete and you're one of the best golf TH-camrs out there, really enjoyed this quest for the open series,so please carry on..
Don’t give up Pete! I started tournament golf this year and the mental struggle is so tough and I’m not on camera! Love the series and you’ve gotten so much better throughout which is inspiring for us all!
I know how it feels.
You manage to share huge quality golf thru your contents.
One has said that we should never give up.
Thanks again for all you have done this year.
Thanks for sharing this round. It’s relatable for a lot of golfers because there are rounds when nothing is working.
Pete, your vulnerability is incredibly valuable and appreciated as often social media has a habit of putting a rose covered filter on everything. It’s refreshing to have a truthful human perspective.
This whole community watches loyally because we want to follow along the journey with you, good or bad. Those of us who will never stand a chance at playing this level of competitive golf will still tune in for every quest because it gives us a slice of the journey, raw and honest.
You’re playing some of the best golf I’ve seen you play this round excluded. Head up!
Negative thinking is 100% effective. Whereas even feigning confidence unlocks our greatest potential more often.
Thanks for sharing the journey and I’m looking forward to the next quest!
Pete please keep the series going. I'm a 12 handicapper and it puts it in perspective the amount of work that needs to be put in to even win my local comp never mind a road to the open. There might not be much to take away from the golf but it helps with mental mindset that we all can struggle with. Especially when you have padriag Harrington set on your shoulder. Create channel great content.
The quest series is awesome!! You have a dream to play in the Open and should never give that up, ever! I dream of having a round like the one you just played instead of being a super high handicap but some of the best rounds I’ve ever enjoyed I shot well over a 100 on 72’s but it was the experience and people I was with. That’s what makes it fun, the experience. Keep playing and getting better, we are all here for it!!!
Pete, I've watched you for a while now. And I'll honestly say that you seem like such a genuine person who is in pursuit of his dream. I know you probably feel demoralized, asking what's the point of doing this Quest for the Open.... I'm just one guy, but I look forward to this every year now. The insight we get through you is truly invaluable. Please don't stop making these series and definitely put out your last episode. We all support you man, and we are living this quest through you. Keep it up, you've got all the support in the world and we all truly appreciate the time and effort it takes to put these episodes out.
Hi Pete, I've just watched the open qualifying video. It's a great video, an honest reflection, and provides insight into your round. I appreciate this is by no means the outcome that you wanted. Hearing you say you "hated yourself" for "letting people down" was tough! and would be disputed by every single person who went to watch and 99% of people who follow you on TH-cam. I appreciate that this will inevitably add pressure, but the fear of letting people down and what others think of us will always negatively affect your ability to score. I understand this first hand, I suffered with everything you spoke about while playing professionally. Although it may not feel like it now, you are good enough and more than capable of qualifying. Keep going Pete, or there will always be that, "what if l'd stuck at it?"
Pete, please keep the series. It is strangely helpful to see that even good golfers can have a total stinker of a round! It keeps me hoping that I too can have a good round every now and again. As I was always taught: you learn more when things go wrong than when everything goes right. Love your content, so please keep it coming. There’s always another chance
I have thoroughly enjoyed all your quest for the open Videos. Today, you weren’t in the Groove, so many other videos ( rounds) you have been on fire! So this is one bad round, out of so many exceptional ones. Im not your target golfing demographic ( I’m lucky to break a hundred most rounds) but I come back again, and again, for your knowledge, Skill, enthusiasm, and just straight out fun you have playing
Good Job Pete!!! Keep it going! From someone who struggles to break 90 consistently your game and channel is informative and entertaining. Not sure who said this but I Iove this quote " Trying Again Takes Strength. No one has ever claimed that recovering from failure is easy-it is, however, a mark of strength. At the end of the day, you'll regret not trying something far more than you will ever regret trying and failing". Looking forward to the next Video. God Bless!
That's golf, we all have days where you feel like you've never held a club before, no matter you try nothing works, but we get back out there and try again. And that is something I have learned from you, Rick, Matt, Alex, Andy and James. Keep going, do the second Qual !!
This is a perfect example of how brutal golf can be at times. Having said that, the content was excellent as usual, having a target line brilliant, please don't let a bad round deter you from making these videos that alot of us love.
Hang in there Pete!!! Takes a ton of mental strength to finish that round and put yourself out there like that!! Love watching these. Something I look forward to every year. I hope there are more to come.
Pete. You have to do this again next year. I only started watching you this year and your series has been great, funny, enjoyable and informative. But above all you have played some great golf that has been great to watch on some of the toughest courses around. You are more than good enough. Get yourself an experienced caddie next year and you can smash it!
I love watching the quest for the open series, its so cool to see you work hard in the lead up to qualifying. I really thought you had a shot at putting a round together but golf is sometimes ruthless and unforgiving. I bet you could go around that course tomorrow and shoot even or under par easily. Chin Up Pete, you are one of the good ones!
Thank you for putting yourself out there for our TH-cam entertainment. I hope you do continue to try and qualify as it’s a great journey to watch.
Sharing these intense thoughts and emotion with us, being real with us - is why we like watching you Pete! Times will get better
Pete I hope you continue, this series is helpful for golfers like me to watch because it shows the process needed to compete in comps. Also not succeeding and learning to lose but continue is a teaching point. I think for the next series of there is one you should show how we can strengthen our mental game with either a mental coach or sports psychologist that can help with stress and anxiety of trying to play in the open. Keep grinding man you are a champ
Pete don’t let this stop you from continuing the journey my friend. Being low to mid handicap paper myself and struggling with the mental side of did the game myself the tips and lessons I’m learning from watching your experiences are invaluable😎
Please never give up on this series. It's the main reason I subscribe (and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the same for a lot of people). Honestly I don't really care about the result, more that we get to see the process you go through and the cut-throat nature of the event. And if you do qualify one day, then yeah, that would be a heck of a video, but if not, I will still be watching and I'll still be enjoying. So please, keep at it!
