The first author has a Hebrew (jewish) name, and I found it both hilarious and understandable that you couldn't pronounce it. Thank for the great reading list.
Do you have any recommendations for a website etc. that leases shop (industrial) spaces like yours? My issue is that everything seems to be far too large for my measly business.

"Just in time" was put into practice by Japanese companies because of their building space limitations. It is one of those "solutions" that looks great on paper, but is horrible in real life practice. I worked for a Japanese company for 10 years, and during that time they lost approximately 1 year of production time due to running out of production materials. Imagine a 1,000,000 square foot factory being completely shutdown unvoluntarily for over a month each year, all because of 1 single policy.

I have had my architectural millwork company for 23 years and read most all of these books over that time. I had a mentor that always preached Lean! Like you I never thought it was for me until I read Paul Acres "Two Second Lean" It chanced everything for me! I highly recommend it.

A book to consider, Never Split The Difference by Chris Voss. This book is one of the few I rank above Dale Carnegie's How to win friends and influence people.

It's not unheard of at certain levels. Those refuse will become obvious and they get passed over on promotions, probably get low (or no) raises, and yes, I think Dave Ramsey fires because it is part of the terms of employment.
